Hey guys, just out of curiosity, what do you do with the bourbon left in each glass at the end of the shows?
I usually include it in our infinity bottle than give the bottle away when full.
I was drinking Elijah Craig Barrel Proof C922 while watching this.. it is an excellent pour as well
The store I work at HB Liquors has had some great barrel picks from copper and cask. We have a five year currently. Before that we had a 15 year canadian whiskey finished in cognac barrels at cask strength for only $55 that came in around 112 proof. Another local Colorado distiller to look for is copper sky. We have a 16 year barrel pick from them at a whopping 140 proof for $100 that drinks like it's 115 proof with a very in depth caramel apple and mint flavor. The biggest surprise has been rocker spirits right here in Littleton, Colorado. Their bourbon and their port finished bourbon are incredible for 3 years age and 96 proof. They released their rye first at the store I work at. It's aged 5 years which is the largest age statement they've put on a bottle and drinks like a dessert. Even in the summer heat I get glazed pecans, chai tea/ pumpkin pie, cherry pie filling, and dough. Most ryes including old forester rye did not maintain it's dough flavor in the Colorado summer heat. The rocker rye whiskey we have maintains its almost funky glazed pecan and dough flavor in the heat. Very impressive release even though my boss was under the impression it would be bottled at cask strength: 117 proof. It was given to us bottled at 96 proof but doesn't disappoint in any way. The color on this thing is amazing! More oily than a bottled in bond. It almost looks discolored like a honey barrel or something. Well after reading online the best reason I can find for the incredibly unique character of their whiskey is that they do a wheated mash bill with a locally sourced wheat. I think that means their rye is a wheated mash bill as well.

Man, a 2019 bottle. How long do you leave an open bottle on the shelf? I heard that an open bottle has about a 6 month shelf life. I love your guys show. Thanks for putting me on to so many new bourbons.
I have regular old Angels Envy and I’ve really been enjoying it. Beautiful toffee notes, and very smooth. Really nice sipping bourbon.
It was my first sipping bourbon and got me into trying more so it has a very special place in my heart. It’s also cheap at Costco so double win

I would say "Good job fellas", but that would leave out the lady(s?) that chose and poured these selections. Good job to all. I do love me some 46 Cask. Good on Trenton for picking up up the Beam on Bookers. I'm not sure if I have that skill. Double blinds are hard.

I am a novice to Bourbon, but I learned a while ago that Angel's is my favorite and goto. I'll have to try Copper and Cask, but the other two I have sampled, but not my fav.

Was just watching this episode tonight and was just completely floored that you guys mentioned keuka lake that you had gone too. And saw Trenton’s tattoo of the lake on his arm. I grew up on that lake and still keep my boat on that lake to this day.
That’s cool! Trent and his sister has spent a lot of time on that lake through the years with their grandparents.

How would you compare Maker's Mark Cask Strength against Marker's Mark 46 Cask Strength?
I personally like the MM CS a bit better but the 46 CS is great also!

LOL...Trenton was SMASHED by the end of this. Definetly need to throw Knob Creek Single Barrel (120 proof) into that mix. Just picked up a Store Pick and it is FAN-TASTIC. Pretty affordable as well at $51.99.
Never thought I would enjoy higher proof bourbons but Wild Turkey Rare Breed (116ish proof), Old Forester 1920 (115 proof) and (now) the Knob Creek Single Barrel (120 proof) are quickly becoming some of my favorites!

I've always loved the Angel's Envy cask strength. Doesn't get the recognition it should, in my opinion! Granted it is $200+ which is way out of some peoples price range.

I had a hard time following Trent's notes in this video as they weren't presented as pop tart flavors! JK, I do wonder if the copper & cask will improve after it has been open a couple weeks. I find some bottles improve a lot after a being open a little while.
I think it will def benefit after a bit of time opening up.

Watching videos like this- tasters always seem to pour a good shot in each glass. If you drank that much barrel proof you might not want to film any other videos the rest of the day.
I keep an eye out for that Angel's Envy cask str. The normal release is sad, and chocked full of no flavor. Out of the barrel has got to be a winner.
