Hi, If there is an option to open up a completely different page ? on the second screen wouldn't that stop any known hacker close to you from seeing that second screen?

I work remotely as a Web Developer and this is a game changing! I can work wherever I go without bringing a secondary monitor (husstle part) . For ex. in a coffee shop, mall, etc.

I LOVE this idea. I can see them hinging the bottom screen slightly, for better air throughput and viewing angle.

Did you try a movie on it? Dialogues are barely hearable.. Or did I get a faulty device?

Asus is definitely engineering some crazy laptops that certainly is desirable. And great to see then thinking outside the box and doing things differently. There will be many uses for these additional screens. We all love multitasking!!

Thanks for making this video. For simple Usage, 1 can make the second screen as a writing pad with the Asus Stylus (which I think is included with the device).

It does have an idea and a 2060 so it should be better than many laptops performance wise. Not sure how much power you need though.

@@Conceptcreator I mean, an i9 is pretty good, but I don't know that much about processors so I'm not sure what you'd really need. I'm guessing a desktop i9 is much better than a laptop one though.

@@Conceptcreator yeah i really dont know much about Intel process and even less about and so i cant really talk about that. I don't do much besides some gaming so I don't really need more than an inch. I've never had a computer with anything and.

I think it is a fantastic idea. Battery life won't be too good, I guess. But still, I would buy it if the price is right... I believe this tech will stay. Bravo, Asus! I hope you will also bring up you quality standards, for they have not been the best.. Keep up the good job.

This would be awesome with a 4:3 aspect ratio screen like the Microsoft Surface and Matebook X Pro PCs. The 2nd screen could have been bigger too then :) But that's just wishfull thinking as I've fallen in love with 4:3 - this laptop looks AWESOME! Afraid it's going to be outside of my budget, but 100% would buy as my next work/play travel companion and work on the go pc. One last worry is how loud it is .... it's not exactly low spec :P

Can't find any instructions on how to do this setup on my UX582LR:
I have Screens 1 and 3 displaying the same content either on a display or projector. I have File Explorer on Screen 2. Every time I double-click on my Power Point .ppsx file on Screen 2, it opens only on Screen 2. I want it to only open on Screen 1 and 3 while I click on files on Screen 2 to control what plays on Screen 1 and 3. I planned on using File Explorer on Screen 2 so I could load the playing content of videos, PP, and other Apps without having to display the root files in Explorer on Screen 1 and 3. Is there a way to accomplish this? I can't locate any videos anywhere on how to set this thing up. Maybe getting too old for new technology.

So I just bought this laptop as well, on the trackpad there are 2 buttons right, the calculator one and the other one, in ur vid that on is a brightness thing but mine is different, i have the i9 core so is that why and I'm not able to use(i don't understand how to)

@@victuringan1429 Just because people will buy something doesn't mean it's innovative or good. I have a 2018 Macbook Pro it's a good laptop besides the known keyboard issues but let's face it Apple has fallen behind when it comes to innovating. Look at their iPhones they have features Samsung's been using for years and as you can see Apple is playing catch up now. The touch bar on my Macbook Pro is a huge gimmick Asus has actually designed a second display that's actually usable and functional Apple even admitted the Touch Bar was a huge mistake. Apple use to be an innovative company that took risks with creative ideas but after Steve died his ideas died with it.
Zep Prime so true, as someone who is using MacBook Pro for over 10 years, I really like the idea of this double screen. The MacBook touchbar is completely useless.

Davinci Resolve doesn't let you unsnap tools. I've tried. But you can stretch it across both screens.

Is there anyone who has this laptop and knows how to fix the key that lock/unlocks the second screen? There are no updates for the keyboard, so I have no clue how to fix it.
My concern about this is the thermals.
That is a powerful computer, 9th Generation, 32 GB of Ram, 6 GB's of video Ram. I like that the keyboard is on the bottom, and no touch pad below it. My palms keep hitting the touchpad. I bet Premiere Pro works pretty well on that laptop. I like the touch screen on the bottom, that is above the keyboard, and that the touchpad is to the side and doubles as a numeric keypad that can be turned on and off. I would have the numeric keypad on all the time, since I use it more than the touchpad.
Battery life?
I’m quite ambiguous about the price of this beautiful beast... hope that it’s under budget which will not be the case

Well my slow internet made me take like 25 minutes to fully watch this video hahaha but the laptop looks amazing, I think the second screen could be very useful, I actually use the whatsapp, slack and some other tabs that might be nice to have it right there in a laptop, not having an additional monitor to carry on.

What temperatures do you usually get ? I have the i7 version and I get between 60-60 oc idle and around 100oc when stress testing with Cinebench R23. Is it a normal temperature ?
Hi, just a comment: I have it myself, and using it on low-speed fan is not an option for me, I think it gets too hot (haven't tested it,- but internal measurments says 60 degrees +++ until 90 degrees, so my solution although noisy, is to turn the fan on to max,- that cools it down, but is as I said, noisy!
I've seen in various forums that it is normal that it get that hot, but it stresses me, so I prefer not to have it that hot.
I guess it's the second screen that is the main reason for it getting that hot.

Only with the Pro Model. The 14" model doesn't support touch screen

no it's a 60 hz 4k display
The dual screens would be awesome for video editing. You could put the footage on the top with the editing timeline on the bottom screen. It also has a RTX 2060 GPU. My only concern is battery life. It has a 71w battery, which is on the smaller side for a 4k Oled touchscreen, core i9 processor, & such a strong GPU.

Why the keyboard is flickering?
I guess it is pulse width modulation (PWM) the algorithm for brightness control. It is impossible to see with human eye tho
LEDs flicker but the eye can't see that in person. Only cameras depending on the frame rate it was shot at

Night and day from the crappy 14" model that was so bad we gave it away.
My bottom screen opens up upon start up, not on the main screen. Any chance you can tell me how to fix this? I know how to use F8 to change the screen set up but this doesn't stay at startup. Thanks in advance!

Now that a new model is out, grab this 4 cheap...New model ain't no big jump, but make the original drop in price. Only difference is the new 1 lifts the 2nd smaller screen slightly. But truss me....fuc# wot the reviews say....this laptop is a beast, numbers R pretty basic (top of tha range as decent specs, but than u pay more obviously) but tha aesthetic of this machine R awesome 👌🏼
