    • @MessiForever-q9l
      @MessiForever-q9l 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would put marques ahead comfortably, mr Mobile is incredible presenter and much more stylish than anyone else, but marques takes it to whole another level when it comes to script/insights.
      He would be great even as a print reviewer.

    • @michaelxz1305
      @michaelxz1305 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I wouldn't call these reviews..more like introductions. They are great, don't get me wrong.. although I prefer windows central for this kind of thing but.. here's an example of a comparison between this kind of "review" where it is basically impressions and the "reviewer" doesn't know what he's talking about and someone like Lisa from mobile tech review who is a bona fide reviewer.. Mr mobile says the second screen acts like a secondary display just like an HDMI display would.. this is somewhat true but also incorrect.. Lisa says it acts like a displayport secondary display and that so points out that because of this you'll get the extremely annoying problem that affects windows displayport secondary monitors where it will not detect the device then will redetect it and as such windows thinks you lost a monitor and then reacquired it and so your windows will move to all new positions and then maybe be restored or maybe not to the correct places on the secondary monitor.. very annoying since you put laptops into standby often..

    • @michaelxz1305
      @michaelxz1305 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Marques is in the same boat as Mr Mobile.. they both give impressions rather than actual reviews and it serves its place but it would be nice to have more real reviewers.
      Mr mobile jokes here about not even doing his own benchmarks

    • @michaelxz1305
      @michaelxz1305 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Marques is not "much more stylish" than everyone else..sure he has great equipment though. But who to like is just a matter of personal preference.. personally my favorite of these "mini reviewers" are windows central Rubino and tech chap

      I don't think this directly competes with the Macbook Pro 15 though. That would be the XPS 15 and Asus' very own pro art lineup. The Duo lacks battery life the Mac/other similar 15 inchers have (for a good reason. Gotta pack all those cooling somewhere).

    I know this sounds a little too ambitious, but why don't they make the chassis and the entire keyboard out of glass with mini LCD screens for each key? Maybe they can allow there to be an entire double screen embedded within a physical glass keyboard that goes away when it's not in use and has a sensor to allow the keyboard to appear every time it reads when the user is ready to type. I know it might cost a lot to produce but I'd be a for sure buyer. It'd be similar to the Asus Zenbook Pro duo but with a glass keyboard. That way there is still touch screen functionality above the keyboard, along with a fully seamless double screen.

  • @Kingjay814
    @Kingjay814 5 ปีที่แล้ว +8

    I love this thing. I do hope that they continue this line. I'm not sold on 4k displays on laptops it just seems like too small a form factor for such a high resolution. If they made a 1440p version of this at a lower price I'd be all in.

    Got my Asus ZenBook Pro Duo (i9) at the Microsoft Store in Atlanta on Oct 5. I love this thing and can't stop using it! I thought the trackpad would be too small. It isn't! After 3 weeks of use, there's no question, all track pads should be at the right of the keyboard like this one. Did you get your own yet, MrMobile?

    The Zenbook Pro Duo and the Galaxy Fold are very different devices, but also have similar characteristics.
    Both devices are very expensive, attempt to maximize the screen real estate and have their own shares of 1st-gen compromises that make the expensive price harder to justify; but there's pretty much nothing else on the market right now like these devices.

    I own this laptop. Something people should know, and which doesn't seem to get mentioned in reviews, is that the Screenpad+, the thing that you're paying all the extra money for, disconnects every time you close the lid of your laptop, or it otherwise goes into sleep mode. This results in all open windows and application panels being shuffled back to your main display, erasing any panel layouts for Adobe CS products or other software. You have to rearrange your displays *every time you re-open the lid of your laptop*. ASUS engineers have informed me that this is expected behavior and there is no plan to fix it. I wish I had known this before purchasing mine.

    You could always use a card reader to use SD cards so there's that for a SD card slot being useless. All the other stated cons are fairly trivial besides battery life as they can be solved easily. This is the essentially the most practical laptop as well as foldable screen/device application and is not gimmicky at all. Pretty great stuff to be honest.
