Was hitchhiking in my early 20’s, State Trooper gave me a ride. Was assaulted on the job night shift as a gas station worker. Police officer to the rescue.
I was driving on the fwy in losangeles when an 18 wheeler flew over the center divider 30 ft in the air, landed 70 ft in front of me & exploded, killing 3 people. I plowed into the roof of the trailer & was trapped in the burning wreckage. With the help of adrenalin, I bent the seat back & tried to open the doors, they were all jammed. I started kicking the back window, that's when an off duty LAPD, coming back from Disneyland w. His family heard me, ran into 30 ft flames & pulled me out. Seconds later it exploded. Thank God, this officer is my angel. A brave man, the only one who sacrificed his life for me. He now has the medal of valor. Well deserved. This is an example of the outstanding brave men & women on the force. Glad to know your out there. Thank You & God Bless you all !!!
Hats off to LAPD. I applied once and during the first stage orientation they said under no circumstances do you accept gratuities no matter how grateful the citizen is. That's your job. I've seen other agencies accept freebies and it always increased my respect for LAPD that they abided by higher principles. It's a bummer that their hands are tied in enforcing simple acts such as illegal alien enforcement.
90% of people in prison are there because they committed crimes and got caught. With today’s forensics they don’t need to rely on people refusing to talk to cover up their crimes!
@@BethyKable So, Bethy, the other 10% of people are in prison because they DIDN'T commit any crimes? Or because they...DIDN'T get caught? Maybe just walked up to the jail door to get a bed for the night?
I was pulled over because my taillight on my car was out. I had just left the auto zone with the light to place it at home. Officer Gonzales and Officer McKinney actually replaces it for me, and just gave me a warning. Two days later they came through my line where I worked, I just started thanking them again for helping me that day, I took them to lunch, then from that day the two became friends of my family. To this day, we are friends.
I offered to buy Detective Sedano dinner through his work email. Instead of simply declining by email, he called me and told me what a low life I was for filing a complaint with Internal affairs.
the good cop bad cop routine is based on the "bad" cop pretending to be about to do something illlegal or agressive and then the good cop interupts or prevents it....if a "bad" cop does something illegal and the good cop looks the other way that is not the good cop bad cop routine
And they get away with the lies all the time, even when the proof is in the judges face. The original group who looks down on “snitching “. It started with the police
My father and I were both in law enforcement , one thing for sure some officers are better and more honest than other officers . Just like the citizens officers deal with daily .

The part about donuts was true, absolutely everything else in this video is a lie. You might want to actually consult a real law enforcement professional before making up content on your next video. I trained cops for decades, and will be happy to discuss the nonsense in your video on a point by point basis with you (as I've done in previous comments here).
Even if your innocent, if brought to the station for questioning always tell them you want a lawyer present. You could be wrongfully charged with several felonies.
@@isaiah1149 Yes. Police officers are the same thing as peace officers. Both are interchangeable in American terms, as is law enforcement officer (LEO for short/acronym). Thank you for the question and I hope I haven't made things more confusing by throwing in the acronym. Clarification is my intent.
Although they seem the same, a police officer (aka officer of the peace) is not actually completely the same as a peace officer. In NYS where I work in Security, a peace officer is a security officer who holds his law enforcement license, and is employed as a peace officer. The main difference is that a peace officer is not law enforcement off site, whereas a police officer is always a police officer, on or off duty.
I’m very familiar with a former (he’s retired now) Ohio State Trooper in the Meigs County area. One day he was parked just around the corner from an area where people had a tendency to pop around the turn often over the speed limit. One of his “ Customers” that day was his wife going somewhere but enough over the limit. He stopped her and very professionally wrote her a ticket knowing full well that it would be coming out of his own paycheck, and that there would be a bit of tension at home. The word got around and I don’t know how things were at his house but his reputation improved because of his treating his own wife just like any other speeder.
Sounds planned to me... Him and his wife probably told as many people as possible. He might of paid that ticket but his funds come from taxpayers and he’s robbed many of their own right to live free by enforcing victimless “crimes”.
@@Spark-In-The-Dark "He might of paid that ticket but his funds come from taxpayers " The funds came from the salary he earned... or do you expect police to work for nothing? "he’s robbed many of their own right to live free by enforcing victimless “crimes”." Riiiight. Because what's the point of working to get a reckless driver to drive more safely BEFORE that driver has killed someone with their speeding?
@Preston Ruttan well you can go that route if you want.... i got pulled over by mi state police,he says "know why i pulled you over?" i said yea i was speeding... he let me go
"I don't answer questions," has become my go to phrase when interacting with police. I'm polite and quick with my paperwork but avoid having to deal with them whenever possible. They have a reason to be cynical and so do we.
So you're one of those A-holes like in all the TH-cam videos of the pulled over driver that makes a standard traffic stop 10 times harder than it has to be....

There is a lesser known reason that cops get coffee at night. I am the night time manager at a Sheetz. We give them free coffee to encourage them to come to our store. Night time is when most convenience stores get robbed. If cops are constantly coming for coffee robbers will think twice about which store to hit!
I got pulled over once by an officer who told me that he stopped me because my tailpipe did not extend beyond my bumper. I sat in silence and waited for a question. The rest of the traffic stop continued in a similar manner.
I got stopped and asked about my fog lights. I guess my car from out of state had not been seen by this cop and he was unfamiliar with the reason for fog lights. I don't know if I told him that if they were illegal the car manufacturer wouldn't have installed them on the cars as part of the package.
Pulled over by the same cop it was 11:00 at night and pitch black out. Stock Datsun 210 with perfect exhaust. Arrested me and took me in for booking released me and I got to work late and was fired. Said he arrested me for driving on an unpaid speeding ticket for 30 in a 25. Haven't had a driver's licence since. Almost 40 years ago.
Some people just can't seem to keep their mouths shut no matter what. Cops know how to bait you to get you to talk, and you will never win an argument between you and a cops on the street. Save it for the court room or the city council meeting.
I was thinking that when I saw this. Especially with things that have happened recently in the US (George flloyd and any incident that has happened since)
Got pulled over for speeding 15 miles over in a residential area on my birthday which is February 14, Valentine's day... Was told his wife was born on the same day, then to drive safely, followed by Happy birthday and Valentine's day!!! I can tell you it had bigger effect on me than any fines.
I like how they are trained to yell, "Stop Resisting" very soundly and often. It's so that if anyone overhears the officer say that then people can testify in court that the suspect was resisting the officer. Even If they didn't see anyone resisting. They'll be able to support a police officer's claim of resisting arrest. It's a very shady tactic. But then again, Cops are shady people.
Shady..how about crazy from coffee..mental illness and they dont understand what's happening to them...they better rest up thier bodies so they can work and not be all wired up and caffiened up ...they would be more leveled headed if they weren't all caffiene up
It’s interesting the difference in how cops from different countries act. In Australia cops are pretty approachable and not so highly strung whereas the USA even a routine traffic stop can be quite intense. In the UK cops will engage in banter with drunks leaving pubs and are quite friendly. I’ve had dealing with cops in a few countries but I think the Kiwi cops are the most chill and the ones in a certain notoriously corrupt south East Asian country were the scariest because you could end up robbed or murdered if you aren’t careful.
Not true. That's a bad generalization. There are many many many many cops with a wonderful heart, who are great in the community, a little merciful, too! 🥴, and quite approachable.
One of my early jobs after high school was working at Dunkin' Donuts. At four and 11:00 the police had shift changes and came for coffee, rarely a donut, comradery and to finish filling out reports. They also enjoyed teasing me, which perked me up for that last hour of eight on my feet 'til midnight. I remember walking to my car, looking back through the window at them and every one of them was watching me with serious looks on their faces, making sure I got to my car safely.
One time when my dad's car broke down in the summer we walked to the gas station and got a gallon of gas from those gas jugs or whatever and on our way back we ran into some cops and they escorted us back to the car to make sure we were safe this happened when i was little but i still remember it like yesterday
ya thats how it starts tell you get older and if your aware of whats going on you see what they really stand for.Kids are so easy to manipulate.See what a kid says today.
I spent 21 years in the military, of those, 6 years was spent as a cop. I enjoyed those days and the interaction I had with people good and bad. As a cop you learn somethings about the nature of men, others aren't privy too. The good side, the bad side, the black and white of situations and my favorite, the gray areas. Those gray areas where no written law has been violated, but integrity and a moral line has been crossed; in these areas I must seek to move the Law Enforcement agency out of harms way and let my fellow officer stand on his reputation, with my moral support. There are always degrees and levels of circumstances to be considered. Did the officer act intentional, did he attempt to cover it up from you, was it his immediate intention to do the right thing, was anyone hurt. Was anyone hurt should probably be the first question.
As a teen with an attitude I was stopped by an officer for not having an updated inspection sticker. I was rebellious because of my dad's extreme rules. Since police represent law I judged them in a negative light. The officer asked me why he stopped me. I said because of a bad sticker, right? He took my license and registration back to his vehicle . He returned to my vehicle in 2 minutes and said to me ", neither you nor I can afford these kind of fines. Go get a sticker! No ticket was given me. Because of the grace given to me by this man in uniform I saw authority in a different light.
I'm an ex law enforcement officer, I would never stand for an officer that violated the rights of any citizen. That's probably why I'm an ex cop, that was shadow banned after I made a stand.
Cops are usually on a fishing Expedition... when they pull you over they always violate your constitutional right.... average citizen doesn't know what his constitutional right is... if you try to defend your constitutional rights... cops can break your window and pull you out of the car without any reason... cops are nothing but thugs wearing a uniform!
Hahaha.. I see what you mean. I watched the video over and over again because of the cartoonish character. Very funny and cute thing too the way they walk and move.
In my experience (plenty of traffic stops) 1/3 are there to just do the job, protect and serve. The other 2/3 are bullies with a badge. Try to impress you with how much bigger their biceps are than your thighs. Try to escalate the situation, attempt to provoke you. Try to play 20 questions with you. BTW, I'm not black or brown.
Probably 15+ years ago I got pulled over once for "spirited acceleration" (even though I hadn't broken the speed limit) from a traffic light that had just turned green. When the Officer asked "do you know why I pulled you over?" I just happened to have the perfect "excuse"... I just cocked my head, GRINNED and said "you could SMELL those Officer?!" as I pointed over to my front passenger seat... As he leaned forward and shined his light he saw a fresh piping hot box of a dozen Krispy Kreme donuts I'd picked up only minutes prior. He just about DIED laughing at the "coincidental evidence" I had! (All the car guys and street racers in my town would meet up at the new Krispy Kreme parking lot on Fri/Sat nights and check out everyone's rides in the bright parking lot lights, and some would then exchange where they planned to race and split off in random directions. The Police caught on and would hide in nearby spots on the main drags near there to pull people over who were in "fast cars" for ANY small excuse or even tail people to figure out where the races were). He gave me a warning to "not accelerate so fast" and sent me on my way. Didn't even ask for my license or insurance, totally would've given him a couple donuts too if he didn't head back to his car in such haste!
I used to be a night manager at a 24h grocery store, I used to let the officers use our convection microwave to heat their food. They were always friendly and professional, basically free security for us too lol.
Yes. NEVER answer questions. ALWAYS video every encounter. NEVER consent to searches or seizures. They aren't your friends. They don't "serve" you or "protect" you and have no duty whatsoever to do so as proven by over 16 court cases. They will lie and plant evidence in order to make their quotas (yes they DO have quotas as reported by police themselves) which means they will do everything they can, even ticket and arrest innocent people, to keep getting their cushy, tax payer paid checks so you must view them as criminal adversaries and do everything to protect yourself from them. My husband is a cop and he said 99.9% of the people he deals with are respectful and thankful. He doesn’t read the haters on social media, way to depressing.
And remember talking to the cops can never help you. It can only hurt you. Many people have been arrested thinking that they were helping the cops out. It’s best to flex and exercise your 5th amendment right. You are never obligated to talk.
I thought he said “F” it at first, so naturally I had to travel back in time so that I’d have the opportunity to fully re-experience this video again for the first but with a heavy emphasis on focusing in and paying close attention to the cartoon characters soft spoken and rapid verbal response that he delivers after he learns the very sad news about not actually receiving his very own personal bat mobile to keep as a gift. It’s really quite a masterful and brilliant performance that clearly shows his talents and his dedication to the craft. To have the ability to instantaneously relate to nearly everyone on this planet no matter how different we all are is absolutely the most insanely difficult level of professional acting that anybody could even remotely fathom much less attain. So yeah, I too am excited that I could answer with a “yes”, I am an else, and I heard the “ok” at 8:22! 😷
Also looking for an open trunk/hatchback, so that they may "Observe any evidence in Plain Sight" or to check if there may be a Possible Ambush from a person concealed in the trunk! There were a number of incidents the occurred in the Late 1980's and 1990's. I was on Active Duty in the Army, and I remember some incidents that were on the news back then.
When I had a car, a few years ago it was close to Halloween and I put a rubber hand with the shirt made so you could hang it, so I put it in my trunk so it could hang out. I even put a ring on the rubber hand. Some yoe yoe called the cops, I get pulled over. The senior officer must have touched the hand & knew it was fake while his rookie partner was trying to be super cop. I glanced over at the senior cop who smiled at me & shook his head then told his partner to let me go. You should have seen that young cop's face when I opened the trunk & the hand fell down.😂😁 I was told not to put it in the trunk again & never did that again.
@@Greys.lover_pd It was so funny, the poor officer nearly fainted when the hand fell down at his feet. I was a Deputy Sheriff in NYS years ago. I wrote a speeding ticket for a guy that was 20 mph over the 30 mph limit. He asked for a trial in the Village Court where the offense occurred. He lived over 200 miles from this Court. The Judge was hearing a case on my arrival on the trial date so I took a seat. The defendant came in and happened to sit next to me. I introduced my self as the arresting officer and asked if he came from home. He did. When the Court called my case I asked the Judge if I could speak. Granted. I told the Judge that I was sitting with the Defendant who had driven 200+ miles from home to appear, and I was willing to accept that as sufficient punishment for the offense. Again granted.
You introduced yourself as the arresting officer? The guy didn’t recognize you? Pretty sure I’d rem your face as I seldom (never) get arrested and rarely get pulled over.
I used to work with a fellow who told me he driving on a freeway with one of his friends, and a state trooper pulled him over unexpectedly. There were two troopers and one went to each side of the car. The driver was asked for his license, etc. and a couple time he asked why he had been stopped. The trooper finally said "you really don't know?" and the driver said "no, I don't". The trooper then said "well, when you passed by us, your passenger gave us the finger". The other trooper then reprimanded the passenger, saying "some day you may need our help--how would YOU like it if we just drove by and gave YOU the finger instead of stopping to help you?" The fellow who had been driving told me that was the last time he ever had anything to do with the other guy. One doesn't need friends like that!
I don't allow losers to ride in my car, they might drop some dope under the passenger seat and if I got stopped and my vehicle searched, I could lose my car and go to jail.
And that being said I've had people do that before but I've also had cops lying about another person saying they did something I really didn't and they've also said about me simple facts police are criminals now and it's all done for money and politics most of them have no problem ruining people's lives
And the irony of that is that lawyers swear an oath to the COURT, not to their clients. It's all a rigged system to serve and protect the corporation they all work for.
I've never seen a cop do anything worth giving away our rights and freedom to narcissist who don't have to be honest or correct . Wake up people, It's all about control and YOU'RE MONEY.
I was in tears recently when a good friend told me that when pulled over last month, his first thought was "when's the last time I told my mom that I love her". These kind of life-crisis thinking shouldn't accompany the sight of a cop behind them. Period.
@ 4:29 - Police can lie to you to get you to confess.... "if you're indeed guilty that is." -- They can also trick you into falsely confessing as well. I know that it is extremely difficult for most to believe that someone would confess to something they did not do, but it does happen and is documented.
Yes sometimes you can even think you are the guilty party when in fact it was the other person. I had a car accident recently and I thought I had caused it but in fact the other person had made an illegal motion. So I'm glad I never said I was at fault.
They keep you awake and locked in that room long enough and you’d be surprised what some people will do just to make it stop. Especially when they make you think your going to go home after.
I am a person of color. I would avoid calling the police to the extent possible because bad cops, or even cops who make honest mistakes but try to cover them up almost never face any consequences for being bad, or for making deadly mistakes when it comes to people who look like me. It is too easy to be killed or harmed for no reason other than the color of my skin. Most cops are not bad cops, I'm sure, but in any sort of encounter with a cop, how does one tell which that cop is before it is too late?

I've seen that video. It's a tutorial on how to get yourself arrested. Answer questions honestly and concisely. Facts only. Don't go into unnecessary details. Be polite and friendly. This is the time to demonstrate your social adeptness, not your lack thereof.
In my 61 years I have encountered cops on and off duty. I have a negative opinion of them. I knew cops that used and sold controlled substances, protected bookies. I knew a cop that told me that if I ever get a ticket he would take care of it. Why do I fear those that are assigned to protect me.
I was pulled over going 45 in a 35 zone on my way to work- he approached and told me what I did.. after recalling my drive I agreed with him as I told him what I did. He gave me a warning
They are also checking to see if your trunk/hatchback is open. Its less common now, but there were instances when the partner of a criminal would hide in the trunk, and ambush an officer. Before c.1995~ few vehicles had a trunk release accessible from the driver's seat. Also, they sometimes found evidence in the trunk. If it is in "Plain Sight" it is admissible in Court (Plain View Doctrine). Also true of anything visible in the back seat, etc. Usually, before driving (in particular if crossing the International Border), I would clean the inside of my car, even vacuum it! If there was a bunch of junk, or even bags or baggage, it could result in a curious officer "Inspecting" my vehicle.
willtheboss09 What he is saying is, cars didn’t really have the latches inside the trunk where if you were inside the trunk with the trunk completely closed that you could just use the latch to open the trunk. So pushing down on the trunk would make it so if there was someone in the trunk that they wouldn’t be able to get out and ambush the officer. Most cars now have the latch so you can get out of the trunk if you were in it

Same here. I guess there is some kind of profiling and prejudice going there. If you look like you're not going to give them an attitude, they'll be cool. You would also call these guys when you hear a burglar at your door, and then you'll be happy to see them arrive.
If that is the case then what is the big stink about police sticking up for each other? Don't get me wrong, I get it. I only say it like that because I don't get the hypocrisy.

Until I started to be pushed along, so, yep, I speed up and he does, too. We both get pulled over. I was questioned first, the usual. Plus, where was I headed. "Home". Then came a question I wasn't expecting, "you were being pushed?" YES! How he knew? Sent on my way. Think about that often. A second or third police car? @@isaiah1149 Yes. Police officers are the same thing as peace officers. Both are interchangeable in American terms, as is law enforcement officer (LEO for short/acronym). Thank you for the question and I hope I haven't made things more confusing by throwing in the acronym. Clarification is my intent.
"Peace" officer
Although they seem the same, a police officer (aka officer of the peace) is not actually completely the same as a peace officer. In NYS where I work in Security, a peace officer is a security officer who holds his law enforcement license, and is employed as a peace officer. The main difference is that a peace officer is not law enforcement off site, whereas a police officer is always a police officer, on or off duty.

One of his “ Customers” that day was his wife going somewhere but enough over the limit. I ran out of gas on a freeway one night and a police officer took my child and I to get gas. I was thankful.

I wonder how fast he drove to the court that was 200 miles away...hmmmm!

The other trooper then reprimanded the passenger, saying "some day you may need our help--how would YOU like it if we just drove by and gave YOU the finger instead of stopping to help you?"
The fellow who had been driving told me that was the last time he ever had anything to do with the other guy. One doesn't need friends like that!

Wake up people,
It's all about control and YOU'RE MONEY.
I was in tears recently when a good friend told me that when pulled over last month, his first thought was "when's the last time I told my mom that I love her". These kind of life-crisis thinking shouldn't accompany the sight of a cop behind them. Period.
So go kiss your Mamma goodbye.
@ 4:29 - Police can lie to you to get you to confess.... "if you're indeed guilty that is."
-- They can also trick you into falsely confessing as well. I know that it is extremely difficult for most to believe that someone would confess to something they did not do, but it does happen and is documented.
Police: "You have the right to remain silent"
Me: gesturing with a thumbs up.

@vunderground1 I think it's a valid question.

Cal Ven you’re*
If your getting your Miranda rights read to u they specifically say “anything you say can and will be used AGAINST you in a court of law” ask the cop why would I talk to you if you’re planning to use what I say against me? My wife had it happen being completely innocent and all she said was I’d like to plead the 5th. Of course be courteous about giving them your name or whatever but what a joke.
He gave me a warning
they touch your cars rear side to leave a print in case things go wrong
Ya.. that's what they said in the video
Yeah time to add spikes
@@paladinsix9285 but how do they know someone's in there just by touching it
willtheboss09 What he is saying is, cars didn’t really have the latches inside the trunk where if you were inside the trunk with the trunk completely closed that you could just use the latch to open the trunk. So pushing down on the trunk would make it so if there was someone in the trunk that they wouldn’t be able to get out and ambush the officer. Most cars now have the latch so you can get out of the trunk if you were in it
If I was a law enforcement officer I would apply the law to everyone. Reminding myself I work for the public and not to make buddies.
I hear your point; however, "not to make buddies" could leave you vulnerable, particularly in communities.
You'd be arresting 2/3'rds of the police force then.
