there were some ties to other movies. lines from the original. the Raphael Adolini gun from predator 2 and the comic.

The Predator franchise is a Disney property via its now subsidiary 20th Century Studios (formerly 20th Century Fox).
Disney has a controlling stake in Hulu. If this ever changes and they lose control of Hulu, I am certain that the Predator films will revert to exclusivity on Disney+, which is where Prey is showing in international markets.
Also, the dog was actually adopted specifically for this film. Its scenes were the toughest to shoot because the dog was not previous trained.
