I love the artwork on this game, it really pops, making the game whimsical and yet still not making it look too kiddie. Thanks so much for offering this as a prize in your contest. I would love to add this to my collection. I think my daughter would love it!
Got you Wendy! I will add you to the giveaway that is taking place in a couple weeks! If you want more entries make sure you like the facebook page and geeklist as well as comment on any other video's! Thanks so much for watching!
Paul Darcy does do great playthroughs! (I'm commenting while watching.) I can't remember how many treasures I've forgotten to draw during my D&D adventure system games!
good start to the playthrough. I have to finish watching in the morning for the conclusion. I really liked the treasure chest nice touch. It would be cool if one the the chest was a random mimic chest you would have to battle for reward.
But doesn't the game come with cards for all the monsters, the longer thicker-cut sheets with multiple monsters on one side? I don't want to have to go print something in order to play this game..!?
Great Playthrough. Very helpful, and well done! FYI... @ 18:30, that is a Demon Captain (not a Demoness). Has a different ability that would have changed the outcome slightly... You would have been attacked back with 3 wounds, taking 2 damage (since you generated 1 shield symbol). Also, I have a question... per my reading of the rules for Treasure cards which states that the orange section (interrupt effect) of the card may be played at ANY TIME during the game, as long as any requirements on the card are fulfilled... I believe @ 19:10, the card could have been played for it's orange section, which would have reduced the single monster's defence by 2 (instead of only 1, as it was played). Please tell me if I am correct on this understanding.
Heh, that's the difference between someone who's trying to be popular vs. someone who legitimately wants to help other people. I also appreciate that this channel falls into the second camp.
I agree on random inputs (roll, then figure out how to use the dice) instead of random outputs (decide what to do, then roll to see if you succeed) common in dungeon crawlers. Great playthrough, as usual. Rules and strategy totally make sense.
Ordered the game for the light solo play a'd also painting some of those minis! Hopefully I grab a bargain version of arcadia quest to bring out the conversion kit to bring more heroes! As for now I will just use the kit with different minis, which will work the same but not look.. The same! :) Do you think you would have survived that first levels with other characters that can't avoid fight or keep undead away? Those rolls on the dragon were ice-cream lol! Lucky you! :) As always. Great videos. Keep it up! Stay safe Cheers from belgium
Hi Colin, could you rank in order of how you like them, Masmorra, Zombicide Black Plague, Massive Darkness, and Arcadia Quest? If there’s one you really dislike can you say why, and if one you really did like can you say why? I really value your opinions! Thanks as always Colin!
I have to say I did not keep any of the first two you mentioned and never played Arcadia because you can't solo it. The first two I just felt like I had minimal choice and a lot was riding on dice rolls with no mitigation. Great simple games but not for me! Thanks for watching!!
Agreed! This did not get the "best" of reviews from Tom Vassel so it may be the reason why you have not heard of it. I do like it, and having it painted really brings the game to life! Thanks for watching!
This game looks great! Wish I could get that set of painted mini's! I've already pinged Charles on Facebook. So Colin, you have a lot of great giveaway's on your channel. I would have loved to win this one, but I see comments are 8-9 months ago. How do we know when a drawing is finished and the prize was already handed out in a given one of your video's+giveaway's?
For prizes, I have a second video in the playlist, so just check back there. I also have dates for when the giveaway will take place. And if you are not sure, just ask! :) As for your question about the game, I gave the game away, so I can't look at the rules!! Not sure but given the fact no one mentioned this until now makes me think I did it correctly!
Hey Colin - How is going? I was researching for game "dungeon crawler" coop style to play with my 7yr son. Would you say this one or Adventure Tactics? Any other suggestion? It has to be relatively light, not many conditions to memorize (despite the fact I will be supporting him), controlling just one (maybe two) characters and be lots of fun (dice would be nice). Thanks! ps: Interesting idea for a top10 list (good for adults and kids).
Great question! This one is a good choice actually think it would be easier to understand than Adventure Tactics. The other one would be CoraQuest. Even Descent: Legends of the Dark would work well too!
@@OneStopCoopShop Cool... I was looking into Coraquest but I dont think it delivered yet. I may try Masmorra for now and save Adventure Tactics for one more year perhaps. Will certainly look into Descent, would not imagine it would work for kids too. Thanks
Great question Daniel. For me, I actually like the dice as monster's it adds a nice set of variety. Of course mini's LOOK cooler, but I think the unique mechanic of making the enemies actual dice is quite fun!
And it makes the game significantly more expandable. One new die could mean up to 6 different new creatures!? Cost to Benefit ratio is fantastic with that
I had thought of that comparison too. I was seeing Masmorra and thinking, Huh this looks like a fancy One Deck Dungeon! I really enjoy ODD, looking forward to playing "a version" with neat mini's and really fun graphical style! (BTW am I the only one who actually Prefers this "Chibi" style mini over the super-serious mini's of a Zombicide Black Plague or Massive Darkness? They seem more substantial and I love the half cute half serious style. It's just a game!)
Loved your enthusiasm! It made the playthrough that much better. All I need to do is find away to get this delivered without the wife finding out.
Sockheavn liked your geek list. That's me. Also Roger Michael mongonza Savoy on facebook.
Hahaha well if you win you can say you got it for free!!
Thank you so much Roger!

Already done! :)
Awesome Possum!!! Good luck!
Love stumbling across you older videos.
Had a lot of fun making them!!
Those figures look gorgeous! Wonderful explanation of the rules as well.
Charles did a great job didn't he! Thanks for watching!
Enjoyed the rest of the video and can't wait to see the upcoming results in the future videos.
Thanks for watching Steve!!
Oh no, another game you have convinced me I need. Great play through.
It sure is fun, and with painted mini's the board come to life! Thanks for watching!
This game looks pretty awesome. I also really appreciate you pointing me to those other two channels. I had never heard of either of them previously.
Not a problem Lucas! This way if someone is really interested in a game, they have another playthrough they can watch!
Paul Darcy does do great playthroughs! (I'm commenting while watching.) I can't remember how many treasures I've forgotten to draw during my D&D adventure system games!
Paul Darcy is one of the best!! And yes, I cannot even describe to you how many times I forget to grab my loot!! Thanks for watching!
good start to the playthrough. I have to finish watching in the morning for the conclusion. I really liked the treasure chest nice touch. It would be cool if one the the chest was a random mimic chest you would have to battle for reward.
Hahaha Yes that would be cool, and really hard! Good thinking though!
I've always overlooked this game in the past, but after watching this video I do think it would be something I could get to the table.
Cool Brent! It is a simple dungeon crawler with a nice twist of how enemies spawn. I do really enjoy that mechanic. Thanks for watching!
I agree with you, the laminate sheet of monsters powers seems to be a must as you refer to it all the time.
No way could I memorize all those abilities! Having one spot for all the enemies is worth it! Thabks for watching!
But doesn't the game come with cards for all the monsters, the longer thicker-cut sheets with multiple monsters on one side? I don't want to have to go print something in order to play this game..!?
Nice video! You helped me to learn the game. Now I should try it!
Have fun!!

Thanks i haven't played for years so no idea on the rules anymore sorry!
once again, awesome playthrough. would love to get a hold of that awesome painted set.
Charles did a pretty amazing job painting didn't he!
Love the randomness of the tiles and makes me regret passing on the kickstarter.
Yeah I love tile exploration!! Thanks for watching!
Really cool of you to advertise other channels. I love those two.
Didn't some of your earlier videos had playthrough in several videos ? And by the way, still interested in this game.
That is a good point! My really early ones did (I think my first 2 playthrough's) but I got rid of that. Ha! So it has been awhile!
Heh, that's the difference between someone who's trying to be popular vs. someone who legitimately wants to help other people. I also appreciate that this channel falls into the second camp.
Great Playthrough! Thanks so much!

Nice job as always sir!
Thank you, John!

Enjoy my man!! Been waaaayyy to long since i played this one so no idea on your question about heroes! Sorry!
Wait a moment, doesn't something spawn in the teleporter room at 14:33? There is a spawn symbol and a skull on that tile.
Ha I have no idea way to long since I played this one! Sorry!
Nice paint jobs on the minis and chests, looking forward to seeing how this playthrough ends.
Charles is pretty insane, his skills for painting is awesome!!
@14:33 wouldn't you spawn a monster in the empty room with the skull icon?
Very likely! Sorry haven't played in 3 years so don't remember!

I have both Arcadia Quests and somehow this game slipped by me! I'm a fan of dice for action games. Seems a good blend of random/strategy.
Agreed! This did not get the "best" of reviews from Tom Vassel so it may be the reason why you have not heard of it. I do like it, and having it painted really brings the game to life! Thanks for watching!
Sort of the issue with reviews vs. playthroughs. That being said, there are definitely some reviewers that I tend to agree with more than others.
P.S. Don't both players get to move during a round? I noticed you're only moving one player per round..
For prizes, I have a second video in the playlist, so just check back there. I also have dates for when the giveaway will take place. My son loves descent and he is 8.. so it's certainly feasible!
Just bought this game and it didnt come with the dice bags. Must be a kickstarter thing?
@ 22:05 Careful what you wish for! Lets see if its a trap, and yes it was!!! 🤣🤣🤣
Haha!!
very nice playthrpugh and a nice game I need to win for my Kids :-D
Hope you do, Mike!!
Great job!
I have heard mixed opinions of Minis vs. Dice for monsters. Did you have any thoughts on which you prefer?
Great question Daniel. For me, I actually like the dice as monster's it adds a nice set of variety. Of course mini's LOOK cooler, but I think the unique mechanic of making the enemies actual dice is quite fun!
And it makes the game significantly more expandable. One new die could mean up to 6 different new creatures!? Cost to Benefit ratio is fantastic with that
I feel it's a refreshing change. I like Both styles. No need to have Every game do the Same thing for monsters!
Can you please provide a link to wherever you got that combined enemy sheet you laminated?
This game sort of reminds me of one deck dungeon. They're both puzzley dice rolling sorts of affairs.
Never thought of that! I can see that now that you said that. I think I prefer One deck for the simplicity of the game. Still both are fun dice games!
I had thought of that comparison too. I was seeing Masmorra and thinking, Huh this looks like a fancy One Deck Dungeon! I really enjoy ODD, looking forward to playing "a version" with neat mini's and really fun graphical style! I've been thinking about this one, since my son likes Arcadia quest. Was there a reason you gave your copy away?
not my chip of tea. I mean I have many better dungeon crawlers. But for kids it might be nice!
Hello. Is Masmorra a stand-alone game or an expansion to the other Arcadia games?
Stand-alone game that the heroes can be used in Arcadia quest! Hope that helps!
Thanks so much!! Your reply was super fast.
PS: I LOVE 11:20, "Are you serious? Another harpy." Hahahahaha. The odds.
No problem!! Ahh yes this game was chalked full of harpies!! Thanks for watching!
That demoness was actually a demoness captain
Thanks for that!
I think when you disarmed the trap you have to face down the trap instead of remove from the game.
Cool no idea too long since I played!
I've been placing coins on rooms with 2 slots. I thought I just get 2 coins and 1 treasure.
