    Playing time in college is not necessary to be given a shot in the pros. Plenty of college backups have made a good living. It's about how one develops as a backup.

    I kinda get it with Hawkins, I watch nearly every UK game live. If you didn’t see the season play out while it happened, it’s hard to describe how well Hawkins played his Senior year. Great defender all the way through, even gave us great minutes against Michigan in the E8 his Freshman year.

    Julius Randle actually played very well in new orleans. But once they secured that #1 pick to get Zion, he had no choice but to leave. Luckily ended up with the Knicks where he's been up and down, but definitely not a bust.

    • @HeatCheckProductions
      @HeatCheckProductions  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      No disrespect intended. I have no doubts that the guy was a leader. I think the fact he stuck around all 4 years is a testament to his character. Admittedly I never really watched bro play, but by all signs he was a below average player by Kentucky standards, at least offensively. He served his role well and I respect that, but there's a reason he didn't really get any NBA looks. Just my opinion tho, if you think otherwise then I respect that

    great vid bro! but idk that Zion headlined duke class gotta be the better overall class. i don’t even know if this is the most highly touted KENTUCKY class in the Cal era. Yet, this is easily the most poorly managed. there was too much talent per position like you mentioned.

    You said players flamed out of the G League. You do realise that Areas of European basketball are a far better standard then the G League and also pay far better! So its more likely to be a choice!!

    • @HeatCheckProductions
      @HeatCheckProductions  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Mptreeby overall I’d agree with you. Tho I do think the G-league offers a better opportunity for players to get called up to the NBA since most g league teams are affiliated with an NBA franchise. I feel that’s why most young guys if they don’t make an NBA roster would rather play in the g-league than sign overseas. That’s entirely speculation on my end tho, I have no idea tbh. Definitely some awesome hoopers over in Europe tho, and it wasn’t my intention to downplay the skill and standard over there!

    • @Mptreeby
      @Mptreeby 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @HeatCheckProductions Tbh it's the risk and reward. Play well in the G League as you said you get back to the league. However the trip to the Euroleague can pay far more and you can become and icon. Just depends on what a player wants. Look at for example the Miami heat. They use the G League perfectly and have made several guys solid NBA contributors, but you can also look at Shane Larkin he will go down as a euroleague legend far more then if he'd stuck in the g league!

None of the other classes you mentioned replicated that. That’s why at least, on paper, from a rankings and rating’s perspective this is arguably the best class of all time.
