  • To start off summer break and the first of several siren recordings this summer off right, I decided to return to Cuyahoga Heights to see their extremely high-pitched 2001-SRNB on Chapek Parkway. It was about equal or just a tad bit more higher-pitched than a single-tone Modulator on a UV controller, and likely one of the highest-pitched 2001-SRNB's out there. Its high pitch also made it extremely loud for a 2001, and I was glad the audio stayed constant. It was breezy out today, so I apologize for the slight shakiness.
The Fedelcode 5 that failed on SRP and I last month seemed to be sounding, as a faint 8 port siren can be heard when the -SRNB was facing in the other direction, so it's very likely the Fedelcode and the Thunderbolt have been fixed from whatever radio failure that caused them not to sound last month. As an added bonus, the siren also sounded for 2 minutes of alert, instead of the 1 minute of alert their system typically does for tests. Enjoy!
    Basic Information:
    Siren Type: Federal Signal 2001-SRNB
    Installed: Mid-late 2004
Location: Chapek Parkway, Cuyahoga Heights, OH
Tested: First Saturday of the month at Noon (March-November); along with most of Cuyahoga County
    Cycle: 1 minute of alert
Testing time today: 2 minutes of alert

I could hear this one at my 2001-SRN, only because it was sick. Nice video as always!

I went to a 2001-130 on rockside rd but it failed :( the seven hills PD said that they had trouble setting off their system but it will be under investigation and they will test it next month like always. Maybe next month I will go to a model 5 in independence or the Fedelcode in Cuyahoga heights

Did it have the batteries replaced recently? Because 2001-SRNBs aren't normally this high pitched.

Bendy and the Machine No, it is running off a higher voltage from the AC power rectifier than it should. The motor is getting more voltage than normal which allows it to spin at a higher R.P.M. than the typical ~3500 RPMs/Min which results in the higher pitch.
