- In this video I'm going to be working on a 1998 Toyota 4runner with a 4 cylinder 3rz fe. I'm going to be fixing a oil leak coming from the front cover of the oil pump.

Where did u find the crankshaft seal?? Autoparts like autozone or advance?

Could it have been the crankshaft seal leaking?
In my case it was that o ring gasket, but it could also be the seal.

No, just saw the oil on the floor.
About how long did the whole process take from skid plate off to skid plate back on!! Also what size was the crew head? Looked like a fat one #3?!
Good 3hrs. Had to clean couple of parts.

@@mysterygarageCA wanna be my friend… haha thanks for replying. Just rebuilt my 3rz and thought the main seal was where it was leaking didn’t even think abt the oil pump gasket. On that tmr thanks for the great video man!

Hi! What did you use to clean the grease and oil?
You can use parts cleaner/ brake cleaner.
@mysterygarageCA I have a friend mechanic who told me the oil leak was from the dipstick O-ring a big mess. He was going to help me with a couple of things. But he rolled his ankle. So I replaced it myself and the coolant temperature sensor. It went well. But it's a mess down there and it's still leaking from somewhere ugh
@@cristengonzalez5562 the best thing you can do is clean the motor and check where the leak is coming from.
