    Howdy Dave. Thankyou for introducing your new tractor. I just had my 25hp UHI package delivered yesterday. Beyond excited with my knew toy, Love the glittery paint work, prob wont stay glittery for long, lol. It has been 17yrs since I have driven a tractor whilst most is common sense the diagrams of where fuel & oils go isn't clear. So thank you. Am going to check out your other vids now.

      Thanks for watching the video and leaving a comment Linda. I am sure the new tractor will be just great. If you got it with the backhoe attachment - that will be a game changer!. Cheers Dave.

    Hi, thanks for your walk round review. Dual brakes have been standard on most tractors since the 1950's and side plastic fuel tanks are very common.
    To be balanced, I would like to have also heard your negative comments about the tractor and some basic information like who the manufacturer is, where built, the history of the company.
    Your review was bordering on a lack independence and a possible association with the retailer.

    It’s a nice looking and sounding tractor. In the long years we were looking at tractors we considered and looked at a few Chinese tractors. We did not see the UHI tractor. Eventually we bought a slightly more powerful tractor than this UHI. We bought a Kubota Mx5200.
    It cost us all up around $42k. So a lot more than the UHI or other Chinese tractors. However we wanted a hydrostatic tractor which no Chinese brands offer. Kubota also provides good financing. The price included a 4 in 1 loader/bucket, two hydraulic remotes at the back and a canopy. They also gave us two Kubota jackets.
    The MX5200 is a nice machine to drive and feels powerful. However some features like the 720rpm on the PTO would be nice to have.
    If parts are available for the UHI and it’s reliable if it’s serviced and not abused then I think it’s price is very reasonable. Overall though the lack of hydrostatic drive was a deal breaker for me when considering a Chinese tractor.

      Hello Karl. It certainly is no Kubota but you are right that it is ideal for a someone who would not over work it or abuse it. I have a John Deere with hydrostatic and it took some time to get use to the shuttle shift and clutch.
      I mentioned to the UHI rep (James) that was there, that many tractor buyers remember the nightmare AGRISON chinese tractors were and that image is something that will take a while to overcome. Not sure even if they are around anymore? The UHI tractors are a new line and time will tell. The warranty is good and in todays video Alex mentions if they don't have the part in stock that it will be sent direct from the factory to you within 15 days. Cheers Dave.

      @@TreeChangeFarmer I believe Agrison is still around. What a nightmare those tractors have been. I think the main issue owners of those tractors had was the lack of support. Tractors broke down and the owner was left without any options. I'd be happy to buy a machine made in China if the support is there. UHI are selling a lot of machines so if there are gaps or lack of support then we should be hearing stories about it, especially as this channel has a few videos on them.
      So far I have not read any negative comments about UHI machines or their support.

    Hi mate. Are you still happy with the 454? B & I are looking at getting one for the farm here. I'm off to Brissy today to suss them out.
    Cheers mate.

      I am not sure if it came across in the video but I do not own that tractor. I have other UHI products which have been fine and I had the opportunity to use the UHI 454 tractor over 2 days on a friends property. I was impressed when using it and believe since filming that there have not been any issues. I regularly am in contact with the sales people at UHI and haven't heard of any warranty issues on these tractors. When you even mention chinese made products there will always be those that will put them down and make up stories of warranty problems when most of time it is the equipment not being operated correctly and not being serviced correctly. Cheers Dave.

      @@TreeChangeFarmer Thanks for that Dave, I tend to skip in a bit from introductions so missed that.
      We checked them out at their Brissy site on Friday & are definitely interest in getting one now.
      Cheers mate.

    Great demo.of that UHI tractor there buddy. They look fairly well built and look pretty cool. Get a massive saving on that UHI over a named well known branded tractor.
    The euro quick attach is something I'm wanting to add to mine so I can put pallet forks ok when needed etc. Them 4 in 1 buckets are very handy too.
    Anyways, great video buddy. I need to catch up on the rest of your content now 😄

      Hey Nick - good to see you back. I would check with Kubota as for a lot of their models they make a conversion kit to adapt the pin in system to a skid steer hitch. I was certain that I wanted a 4 in 1 bucket and paid extra for it on my John Deere 2025R but really have never needed it in 2 years!. Thanks for commenting. Cheers Dave.

      @@TreeChangeFarmer yes im going to get the clutch in the tractor done first then tackle the quick hitch mod as i need the pallet forks just as much as the bucket id say.
      Is that right in your case ? weird aint it, looks so handy yet as youve said you havent used it.
      Glad your doing great buddy.

    Hello Dave, I'm really enjoying your machinery reviews, they're very good. Are UHI going to use you more and more to review their products? I hope so, I think you've found your vocation there. As time goes on that Chinese junk gets to look more attractive too. That's a pretty cool little tractor. Cheers.

      Thanks for the comment DD. I just posted the Sydney showroom tour so that makes three UHI videos in a row! Maybe a break for a while so I can get on with other stuff here. Would like to be able to get a machine for a review on the farm and not just look it over in the warehouse. It's a journey, let's wait and see. Cheers Dave.

    We are looking at buying a tractor at present. How has the UHI performed until now? Any issues to consider?

    • @TreeChangeFarmer
      @TreeChangeFarmer  ปีที่แล้ว

      I can't give you a long term view of the tractor as I only tested it over 1 day. I do subscribe to a number of tractor forums and the general opinion is that UHI are good tractors with no major issues so far.

    Hello Dave,
    Do you know the rated engine speed for this machine?
    Cheers mate

    • @TreeChangeFarmer
      @TreeChangeFarmer  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not real sure Max but the YTO engine website says the engine can be used for 10-75kW applications (this 454 tractor is rated at 33kW) at an engine speed of 1500 - 2400 rpm. Hope this helps. Cheers Dave.

    Definitely understand why here in the USA TYM (Toyota Motor Tractors) and Johne Deere have suddenly picked up their game big time looking at this. Trying to compete in the US market no different from Canada, Australia, New Zeeland and Great Britain is really hard because of such high quality Legacy builds to include David Browns, International, Massey Ferguson and in the USA anyways well, still run steam powered Case Iron in point of fact here.
    For the entirety of Brazil one of the largest ag producers in the World now that's all John Deere.

    If I wanted to purchase one in the US is there a rep to email?

    • @TreeChangeFarmer
      @TreeChangeFarmer  ปีที่แล้ว

      I think UHI are only selling tractors into the Australian market. I have updated the video description to include their website address where there is also a 'contact' page with the sales person email details. Cheers Dave.

    There is an UHI Machinery owners with warranty issues Facebook group. You have to own a machine first before joining the group. It has just over 300 members. Maybe an indication of issues. A review showing the backhoe not digging and front end loader picking up some sand is not a good review.
