this was so helpful omg. i never thought about receiving a portion of the payment first, and that brought me back to when i did a product photography project for my aunt’s brand. after a whole day of shooting and editing, she texted me saying she was going with somebody else on fiverr and i got no compensation. truly a bruh moment on my part 😞
I got my first inquiry from my website over the weekend & I was really unsure how to proceed in the most professional way! Thank you for this video, it made me feel more confident with my first client. ❤️
i recently watched your freelance series & was curious about the actual process of working with clients so this was just the cherry on top that i needed! i also wanted to say that your series gave me the info & confidence i needed to take the plunge into freelancing before i graduate with my design degree this spring. thank you for all the wonderful information you've been putting out :)
I was literally searching with all kinds of keywords to find this exact process that I was looking for. lol i was searching like "upwork logo design freelancing steps" and weird keywords like that. thank you so much for this video it was what i was exactly looking for!
you're a gem! I love how simple and straightforward your process is. I've been prepping before opening myself back up to freelancing and def got caught in the tornado of welcome packets and goodbye packets and such all in the name of seeming "professional". This video came at the perfect time, taking it as a wake up call to stop stressing haha. Thank you for always giving us such helpful tips
Finally I got time to watch the new video! What a neat clean design, love it. Am I the only one who's scared of illustration in logo design but love the organic style it gives to the project? PS: Thanks Paola you help me a lot to feel confident when designing, take care, stay home!
I usually quote them about a month but this one ended up extending passed that by 2 weeks- no fault of either side just communication time and deciding ended up extending it
Hello ! Thank you for this video, why is it important to sign a contract? Do you charge more when a client is not satisfied so you have to go back again and again? Thank from Paris x
hey Paola, if a client is interested in working with you, do you talk to them about their business and what they're looking for BEFORE you send them a contract?
oh yes definitely! We talk about what their brand is, what they do, and what they want it to look like. All of that is in the beginning phase before we both decide that we want to work together.
this is amazing!! i love your work. can u do a video about files? like, what do you send to your clients and how? i don't know the sizes for files and stuff like that.

Amazing + helpful content as always! Freelancing is hard work lol but pays off!
How did you get started as a graphic designer and where do you promote your work?
Omg I love this! Its so helpful, thank youu!!
What font did you use for the reflection part??
Or maybe a tutorial on HOW you did the logo she decided on? I'm just curious if that's a tool you used in illustrator or a font and how to utilize it.
thank you so much for this video !!! It was so helpful

Loved this video! It's nice to see the process in detail. Did you send her the design files before or after the second round of payment?
I always send files after I get the final payment!
@@PaolaKassa Thank-you!
Loved this!
How do you balance several clients?
thank you so much for making this video!!! so helpful! also a question I had- what is your average timeframe for a project like this?
I usually quote them about a month but this one ended up extending passed that by 2 weeks- no fault of either side just communication time and deciding ended up extending it
@@PaolaKassa thank you!! good to know
Does it hurt our business if we keep our communications through email?

I have a video about contracts that explains everything I do!
this was so helpful! Thank you so much
I have a freelance series and an episode on clients you might find helpful! The playlist is on my channel☺️
Do you ever use fiverr to get new clients or is everything done through your website or some other method?
I don’t use fiverr- they undervalue designers IMO!
