That white flowered spiny looking plant I believe it’s called bull nettle it’ll Sting you ! You are a carry one of those foldable emergency fishing rods with you like they used to sell on TV I think Ronco used to make them !

My mom and Grandma Martin made homemade plum pudding. And it was very delicious. I wish I knew how to make it.
I think I have sand hill plums down here in central Texas.
I made plum jelly one year that was the prettiest and best tasting jelly I think that I have ever made.
We had a lot of rain at the right time but most years are not like that.

Glad you discovered the sand hill plums on your property. If you pick off the side of road , they might have been sprayed as a weeds.
All that fruit is what brings that buck into the area !

Yes on the fishing. Did I hear you say there were current berries out there because I thought blackcurrants were not allowed in the United States because of some kind of fungus I think I'm not sure however they are popular over in the UK. I love current berries

Thank you for your nice video. I had actually watched it last night, but I had fallen asleep, so hadn't commented. Mountain lions... wow... although I don't think they will attack people unless they are starving or injured, I still wouldn't like to encounter one. Have you ever encountered a (dangerous) wild animal? Where we live there aren't really any dangerous animals. The wolf is more on the rise again, though, but I'm not worried about that. Anyway, I enjoyed your video, and look forward to the next one! 😎

I’ve met a few skunks and a rabid raccoon or 2. Had a deer charge me once as well. Nothing too crazy tho.

Sometimes. I think I've been bitten or stung by just about everything possible out here. Fortunately I rarely have a reaction. Even poison ivy has little to no effect.
Do you have snakes in kansas ?
Quite a few, but there have only every been a few unconfirmed sightings of venomous snakes in this area. Lots of venomous snakes to the west and to the east of me though
