Wow!!! Incredible finish and over coming the obstacles. I’ve always loved wood working and wood working videos as I find it always calming and of course growth. Enjoy your positivity as you’re building and hearing the lessons you learned along the way.
Thanks for the tips, I would need an awful lot of Marri jarrah to stay focused enough to do this, plucking up the courage with help from videos like these
@@tallpaul7657 thanks for your support, and I really appreciate you taking the time to comment🙏 I know a lot of people say this, and it is kind of cliche! But plucking up courage to start is the biggest obstacle any of us will encounter when it comes to making anything! I honestly believe there is no such thing as wasted materials or mistakes, just lessons and skills development. The amount wood that I’ve thrown in the burn pile because I cut it to short or are the wrong angle ect is mind blowing 🤯 I’m far from a professional but the best advice I could give anyone is “remove the pressure “ and just build what you can with what you have and let your skills develop over time 🕥 and try to make a small improvement with every piece! Happy making legend 💪🔥
@@MrZooking haha 😂, thanks mate! It would have made for good viewing! I’m now mildly curious what would happen if I did drink it? It does say on the bottle that it’s food safe and organic🥃😂 As always I’m stoked to have you along for the ride 🙏
Deano, I know exactly how you felt with the wood coming apart as it happened to me on my very first chopping board glue up🤡, bloody annoying to say the least. I bought my tracksaw last year, the same thing you bought and i totally agree about how good they are, i wanted to cut everything up with it but had to stop myself 😂. The board's turned out great 👍.International clients and the weather is warm in the summer and bloody cold in the winter 🤔🤔, going by the description, it sounds like the UK except that our summer barely gets warm let alone hot 🤪😅🤣. As alway's buddy 💯% 👍 🇬🇧.
Thanks so much Simon🙏, I really appreciate your engagement😊. I’m so glad I went with Festool! I almost bought the Makita but my wife encouraged me to spend the extra, and I’m sooo glad i listened 🤩. It really took the wind out of my sails when the glue let go but I’m grateful for the lesson, and thought it was important for show my challenges rather than editing them out 😅. The boards have ended up in Greece. I’m stoked you’re enjoying the content my friend 😎🤌🔥
Deano, What about Chessapeake, I think theres one in Virginia, Mighty fine chess boards you made there, now you got it right, feel free to make one for yourself. Am I allowed Festtool envy. Cheers
@@darrylbuckett5380 ooo “Chessapeake” that’s a good one! I’m definitely going to make myself one in the near future. As always I really appreciate your engagement 🙏 Also, I don’t think Festool envy ever goes away! I have one and I still have it😂
@@deanobuilds I bought myself a track saw some years ago, one of my sons borrowed it before i had even used it,,,never seen it since, at least it was not a Festtool. Cheers
