You're probably seeing truck loads of sugar beets.
I think you’re right!!
My sister and I would often stop in North Platte on our way to and from Albuquerque from MN.
Cody Park that was our home town.
Those are goats heads vs the softer sticky round saddle burrs or the green sticky triangle field burrs. They are painful for dogs and your bare feet. Some are large enough to go thru a flip flop. Great video. There is Car Henge in Alliance, NE the next time you go thru.
New Logo, o yeah!
We always called those “sand burrs”. I grew up being able to run thru the Sandy farm fields that were loaded with them ; and never got a one. The boys chasing me got covered in them. Lol. Yes they are mean. You can buy rubber socks for
Sand burrs or sand spurs are what people in Georgia, Alabama & Florida call them, too.
Nebraska and Eastern Wyoming.....You were probably seeing sugar beets. Used to be a big industry around here. Here in Sheridan, there is a now closed down , huge Holly Sugar plant.
Pretty sure you’re right.
Irene, I thought your earnings were eggs on a spatula that Dave had carved 🤣🤣🤣
😂😂😂🙌
We call 'em burdocks here in MA.
Interesting 🤔
I broke down in North Platt 40 years ago. Still think bout it often 😮
No break downs allowed!🤪
Ohio is our home, and we just got back from 6 weeks out west. We travel with our senior pup and were aware of the danger of goatheads and foxtails out there. It was our biggest concern as we stopped in campgrounds and rest areas.
We travel with our senior pup too...and although the west is AMAZING the goat heads can be horrible for the pups. We haven't dealt with foxtail yet...happy travels
Ugh, sand stickers. I hate them. Live on the Texas coast, we get them in the yard & the beach.
We hate them by any name !😂
I must have missed where the green bean pillow came from, does she try to bite the beans 🤣🤣. Scary about the tornado watch….
A friend made it for us. It’s a small blanket:)
My grand kids calls those pokey balls.
Perfect🙌
I learned a trick to remove those goat heads you referred to... We call them sand spurs here in FL, but oddly enough, if you lick your fingers before you pull them off, they don't stick your fingers... I don't know the science behind it, but it really does work... I get in them suckers a lot down here... lol
We’ll be in Florida soon. Hope we don’t have to but we’ll test this out:)
Yep she loves her Green Beans! As always Be Safe! Thanks!
Thanks, you too!
Cant find your dashcam on the website. What brand is it?
Thanks
Dual Dash cam | VAVA Dual 1920x1080P
This is the one we use, it’s no longer available on Amazon but maybe you can find it elsewhere. Can’t say it’s good or bad, it’s there if we need it!
Sugar beets 🙂
That’s it! 😀
Green beans for the Queen and beer for daddy...what is Irene's favorite "snack?" LOL Carey on...
A good coffee with cream and whip cream😋😁
i was just going to say that bacon and eggs, that would be cool ! your kinda in the flat lands maybe some with corn, that's a good fun idea
Bacon!!
Watch out for twisters. I`ve never seen one but we all know what they can do. Looks peaceful out there.
Yes! Don’t want to get caught up near one of those!
What a cute doggie!
❤️❤️❤️
Kansas City is a great town, no need to avoid it! 😂❤
😁 We’re small town people and avoid urban driving in our “home.” 😉😁
Can't blame you for that. There are a ton of cute small towns to see here. Have you all been to downtown Sedalia? It must have been something back in the day. Oh wait maybe you did when you did the Katy Trail!
@@talktokld44 We thoroughly loved Sedalia and all the small towns along the Katy!
I'll bet they are sugar beets.
Hi good people! the people who was on these wagonz, can you call them the first free campers ? 😇😇😇
The original boondockers!
Yes!!😂
🙌😁
Where they sugar beets in the back of the truck. I love prairie sunrises. One time a couple of years ago after travelling hours and hours, i pulled over on the side of the highway just to sit quiet and watch the sun rise over the horizon on the Prairie landscape. God bless us, it was so awe striking. Love you all. Give Pistol a big hug. She is feeling the storms as i do. Bless that little girls instincts. Ahhhhh! Carolyn and Colin...Osoyoos. B.C. Canada
Pretty sure they were sugar beets. Thank you!🙏❤️
We got pelicans up in Yellowstone, both on the river and Yellowstone Lake. I would not be surprised if they hang out at the Red Rock Lakes Wildlife Refuge down in the far southwest portion of Montana, along the Idaho border. Thankfully, no twisters in Bozeman. Though eastern Montana does get hit every so often. You guys be safe out there. And do... Carey on!
Had no idea there were pelicans in these areas🤷♂️
Where do you get burritos in Clinton MO? Our daughter and grandkids live near there in Warsaw. Just got back from there a couple weeks ago.
El Puerto!
Thanks! I’ll have to try it next visit.👍🏻
Go with the deluxe burrito. You won’t be sorry.😉😋
El Puerto is awesome, just ate there last weekend after a great nephew's soccer game. We would have freaked out of you were there when we walked in!
It’s a good thing we don’t live too close to that place. I’d probably go over my burrito quota.😂😂
Hi guys😃😃, hi Pistol rub, rub rub 😃. Been dealing with vertigo here😲😩🤢. Don't wish it on anybody. Have finally caught up to my tubers!!! You guys are the best. Love where you've been and all that you have done. Would love to see that little train museum in Douglas. The boats are awesome! Keep both if you can. Nice hunting licence Irene 🤣. Your is getting so long, looks good. Your idea for bacon/egg earrings is good😃. Saw your handy work on Instagram Dave. Marvelous! Nice handle on that chefs knife too! Carey on, be well, be safe. Extra rub for Green Bean Queen. Vickie
Thanks Vickie 🙏❤️ sorry about the vertigo. That sounds like no fun at all.
I saw a couple pelicans in CO last year when we were at Chatfield State Park. I was so surprised I didn't take any pics! What was the name of the park you stayed at in North Platte? We're trying to find other options in that area for our next trip.
Cody Park campground. 👍
Sugar beets?
I think so:)
Maybe sugar beets.
I think so:)
I used to teach a polymer clay workshop. It's a lot of fun, but you don't want to bake polymer clay in the same oven you use for food. Polymer clay needs its own dedicated oven. We had a toaster oven we used for just that purpose. Have fun with it, but be safe, too!
Thanks for the tip!
Sugar beets
🙌
Probably sugar beets.
I guess you’d know. 👍😁 How was your season?
@@CareyOnVagabond we're still working. And honestly, it hasn't been great. Last season for beets.
@@CareyOnVagabond oh, and I still have my leather and bead earrings I bought from you some years back.😍
Where’s winter for you guys this year?
@@CareyOnVagabond partially AZ and NM, but want to head back to FL by end of Jan.
Goat heads! Yikes!
😳🤪
Are you two married?
Almost 20 years
Sugar beets
