As someone who lost my Boston not so long ago, I know you will appreciate having 7+ years of Pistol's life documented.
Big hugs to you! I imagine it’s a heartbreak that never goes away. 💔🐾
The Keys are my favorite part of US....Caribbean in America with American infrastructure, laws, legal system, education system, language, healthcare, etc.....
My most memorable of your adventures is Dave surviving his ride alone bike ride..a miracle.
That was a doozy!
I retired five years ago, living in the Fl . Keys and hit the road. Back and forth across the country several times and also found spending more time in areas is the best.
Awesome! It can be easy to get stuck in a rut. Change is good!!!
If I may offer, Dr Wayne Dyer said "when you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change" I hope I have that right! Thanks for all the great videos so far.
Love that!
Yes travel has a way of changing us. But we have a huge world filled with mothers. Have a good day darlins.
FISH! to Dave are like SQUIRREL to dogs! Too funny!! I enjoy your sit down talks and how you travel, cook, hike, bike and enjoy the trips with Pistol. Thank you for sharing and keep the ride going.
Thank you so much🙏❤️
Congratulations on 7 years!! I do enjoy your videos!!!!
Thank you so much!
If you have not been in the Hocking Hills of southeastern Ohio, I would suggest a visit coming or going on your way to or from the east coast of Canada toward Nova Scotia. You can see icebergs floating by in the summer.
Travel is addicting as there is so much to experience. As a Park Ranger, and traveler, visitors often asked what was my favorite national park, which ever one I'm at.
You tubers Carry and Dave (one adVANture at a time) went to Newfoundland this summer (3 months). If u want to get a good review of there and ferries. I went to Nova Scotia this summer but found it too expensive for me. But I loved the whale watching and the Cape Briton Na Park. Which is set up very differently that the US Na Parks I’ve seen. But I also recommend the Adirondacks in upper New York ( lots of free camping). The green mountains of Vermont. The White mountains of New Hampshire. And oh my the winder free camping public lands of Maine. Moose Head lake is gorgeous. Then the Cutler public land over by Machias (that little town is fabulous and has two overnight parking areas right on the river. And has gorgeous rapids and waterfalls right in town. All of the places have no restrictions on dogs. As long as they are leashed or under control. Campobello island while technically Canada has a free national area where FDR’s family summered Beatutiful homes you can tour for free. Whale watching from the lighthouse and little town just as you are at the bridge to cross over.
My favorite van life couple! Love your videos and adventures! Don't ever stop! Cheers to you!
Thank you! 😊
I remember being one of the first few viewers back in 2018 (including Facebook)! Has it been that long?
Been a long time. We remember meeting your family! Thanks for coming along❤️
I have been watching ya"ll for a few weeks and I enjoyed learning more about you. Three other you tubers went to eastern canada this summer. they all have dog's. one advanture at a time, advanture of A=K and van trekking life. May God bless your travels.
Seven years! I feel like I've been following you for much of the time. I came for van life, I stayed because you two are fun, interesting folk who provide great content. Long live the Green Bean Queen! Wishing you both joy and happiness. Carey On!
Thanks! It’s been great chatting with you over the years. We will definitely have to meet up one of these days!
@@CareyOnVagabond I look forward to us meeting up. I know you guys will be back in Montana someday. Just hit me up if you come near Bozeman. Thank you for letting all of us have a view of your life. Carey On!
Keep traveling, life is better and longer this way! Don't forget to visit Greece, it has magical places to see.
The ferry to Newfoundland allows pets. We traveled with a number of travelers that had their dogs with them. I think you do need to reserve early to ensure you get a space that will accommodate the pup but it’s well worth considering. We found Newfoundland to be so amazing that we’re heading back this summer and adding a bit of Labrador to the plan.
Thank you so much for a beautiful information you guys a great couple!
20:29 Hey there! I have been watching your videos for years. I dragged my wife into this lifestyle kicking and screaming on January 3, 2020. We started out just part time. On September 30, 2023 we sold our house and went to Michigan to work the beet harvest. Mostly for the experience. We are currently in Okeechobee Florida caring for my elderly father. If you get down this way we would love to take you out for dinner or lunch and chat. We are wonderers like you and would love to pick your brains!
We may wind up passing through there later this winter but no plans of yet. Keep an eye out for us!😁
My dream place to live when no longer full timing is Tiny Tranquility in Waldport. And you are from that area. He is no longer taking people on a wait list, so I am disappointed. I did the maritimes in 2022, it was so amazing. You would love that. There were a lot of people on the tour I was on with pets. Even in the ferry. I feel the way you do….about stopping. I think my determining factor will be physical limitations. So far so good, but I am 75. Loading the bike on the rack and setting up camp alone and breaking down gets old by myself, I can still do it, so who knows. Great video!!!😊
I love the Oregon coast we have a vacation house between Seal rock and Waldport.
Tiny Tranquility is a nice community if full go there and find another spot on the coast or upriver on the Alsea lots of places to put a tiny house I've noticed extra small almost tiny homes in Bayshore if you want the clubhouse, pool, ocean and Alsea Bay views???
I’m not familiar with Tiny Tranquility but the name alone sounds pretty perfect! May your journey lead you somewhere spectacular!
well, I’ve been tagging along with y’all for many moons and have really been inspired by your journey and am so grateful that y’all share it and more so,
inspired by your optimism, your zest for the eternal moment and
of course, sweet Irene’s smile…
p.s. wish y’all break out that ol’ Luckenbach cowboy hat, sometime…
Thank you!❤️ Sadly the hat was left on the dashboard in the sun and shrank. 🤦♂️😔
Time flies! Great job carving out a fun life that works for both of you.
Your videos inspire me to sell up and hit the road with my cat 🐈
Great discussion about traveling. Going many places living in a tight space works with the perfect partner. We started from FL and enjoy the Oregon coast. Yes, mostly in Mar to Jun. Winters in desert south are wonderful, less crowded, unlike here in FL. Perhaps in your next travels south, we can meet up at Satchels Pizza in Gainesville? Be here until mid-Mar.
We’re a bit ahead of our videos. We’re camped at Ft Desoto then Ocala for a few days, then to Ft Myers to visit friends. We’ll be in Florida all winter so I’m sure our paths can cross.
I enjoy your videos. I'm in Eugene and have my appointment to pick the design customizations for my van build in the morning. Maybe I'll see you on the road some day.
Enjoy! Imagine being able to hop in your van and drive away from all that rain!😉😁
May 10 will be 5 yrs for us! Congratulations on your adventure!
Woohoo! Time sure flies, eh?
Happy 7 Years!!!!!
Thanks!!🙏❤️
Thankyou for sharing your adventures! I am unable to travel all over the country but I love watching others.
We’ve enjoyed having you along! 😊
I really enjoyed this video. One of your statements about your videos being a normal routine and life style for you is correct, I suppose however, the point that people like me, enjoy your videos & your adventures since they are new & interesting as a camping & travel enthusiast. Also, it appears like you both truly appreciate each other and, are best friends. In my view, as you stated, is a real blessing!! Nice job on this video. Looking forward to following your future travels.
Thank you so much!
Really enjoyed all of your videos. This one is special. Thank you for sharing. 👍✌️😊
Thanks for following along!! 😃
Keep Going!
That’s the plan for now! 😎
I love your insights. We are retired and go on 3 week trips, then come home to Ohio, which is nice in summer, but winters are depressing. We are doing a trip to Upper Florida in January. I'd like to go further south, but it's such a long state, and we're already tired of driving by the time we get there. We try to do at least a couple of long bikepacking trips a year. I agree about the crowds at National Parks. Check out Theodore Roosevelt, north unit. It's pretty quiet. There is a BLM campsite right outside the entrance, and the Maah Daah Hey trail leaves from the campsite, although you've probably already been there.
Florida IS a long state!! So much to see! We have been to that park and it’s one of our favs..not busy at all and tons of bison..and the baby bison. So cute! 🦬🦬🦬🦬 I just want to see all the animals!
Great video!! Use to think when you sold your van you weren’t honest with your viewers about the truck camper but now I realize it was more about the adventures than the vehicle and maybe why you didn’t seem as happy is because you might have been getting bored and needed a change? Congratulations and I enjoy your content.❤
We always try to be candid about what we’re feeling and why. Sometimes we aren’t even sure! We are content but always keeping our eyes and hearts open for new opportunities, whatever that looks like.
Been with you all the whole time,so enjoyed your travels.
Look forward to many more , love and blessings to you both.
Bob here in Maryland
Thanks so much! It’s been great hearing from you throughout the years!
Good morning from snowy NE Wisconsin!! Loving your posts every Sunday am and hoping you both are well this holiday season! Carey on...
We are fantastic!! No snow here but I have to admit, there’s something dreamy about a snowy Christmastime! ❄️🎅
One of my favorite videos of yours is when Dave got the drone, and you were boondocking in the desert. I also enjoy watching Irene cook and am forever impressed that she was able to cook the way she did in the van's tiny kitchen.
If you get a chance to visit any of the Keys in Florida (in addition to Key West), I'd love to see them. Also, I've always wanted to do some of the historical stuff on the East Coast, though it might be too "people-y". But a visit to Jamestown, Roanoke Island, Tybee Island, the battlefields of Gettysburg...those kind of places fascinate me.
Your "Coffee Talk" videos are always a joy to watch but we have to admit we both got a "little verklempt" listening to Dave talking about "best friends" 💕 Cheers Vagabonds! 🥂🥔
Thanks guys❤️ Cheers!!
Understood...
Wyoming is beautiful. Looking forward. Happy travels. Carey on...
Thanks 👍
❤😊 my first time watching.. my husband and I had talked about doing this 33 years ago.
But know I don't my health is the reason.much love ❤😊
So fortunate that I was one of those early folks who was graced with a drop by my house and meet. for convo. It definitely kept me coming back for your adventures on you tube.
Yes!! And you are having plenty of adventures of your own! 🙌🏼
Mad love from the east coast of Canada !!! Yes come up and see the highest tides in the world here in New Brunswick :) -- You will love it here -- New Brunswick, Nova Scotia , PEI and Newfoundland and Labrador -- Our summer's are short June till October for nice camping. Awesome
We gotta do it! Have heard nothing but great things!
We relate so much to all of your points . 5 1/2 years for us. Hope we get a chance to hangout some time and share stories . safe travels ☺
Absolutely!!
So cool you have such a great history of all of your travels. I agree - when I look back at my old videos & Instagram pics and it takes me back! Love your “favorites” Dave.
Thank you🙏❤️
Looking forward to the next adventure with you, where ever it is!
Thanks!!❤️
Your love for nature and travel shows in your videos. You appreciate the beauty of places you see. Your description and excitement of seeing places shows. You make it interesting and exciting.

Plan a trip to Alaska. The newness is extraordinary.
We’ve been planning but things have always come up. It will happen along with the Yukon!
Alaska ! Alaska ! Alaska ! Did I mention ALASKA !?

Thanks for the recommendation!
Seven years great milestone keep it going!!!
I remember Up Your Alley is where we first met Irene our kids loved that first place and the corner was even better!!! my first video Dave was running in Rim Rock and Irene was back in Newport You are right about winter on the coast I spent last winter there at our place between Seal Rock and Waldport wet and windy but the beach and Hot Tub every day in Salt Lake now wet and windy lol snow is coming I think I will go back to the coast my wife 37 years married is still working so ??? See you down the road sometime.
Time flies when you’re having fun! Catch you down the road! 😎
I met you two in Ocala (briefly). I would have sworn Irene was 20 years younger than Dave (sorry Dave).
🤷♂️😂
Why homing when you can do Wyoming! Agree that lakes and mountains are the thing. It's cold here and luckily the renovation will be finished next week. And then there will be a week in Spain. Wishing you many happy years together no matter what you come up with.
Ohhh a week in Spain, you say? Hope to see lots of pictures from your trip. The food alone should be fantastic! Thanks for following along, Morten! 😃
Your Welcome!@@CareyOnVagabond
that is funny , Mary and i are best friend too , maybe that's the key
Winning!
Has someone from the East Coast I can assure you you would have no problem anywhere with your dog
This is a great video! But you do this all the time, and show some cooking. I DO like the cooking! Where’s the adventures? The hikes?
Are you going to come over to Europe ?
It’s on the list! 🙌🏼
What happened to your friends, the Dutch couple?
They are doing great! Some big changes for them this past year. We will be catching up with them for our third Christmas together!
