Both of these streams are great fisheries that are lightly fished. Downstream from the Medway dam, you will find a pretty good flow of highly oxygenated water, and the fishing can be quite good here at times.
The town of Medway is a community of 1200 residents. Located right off of I-95, Medway is conveniently located. The nearby towns of East Millinocket and Millinocket have hardware stores, grocery stores and a critical access hospital. You can find about everything you need right here in the Katahdin region. Baxter State Park and the North Maine Woods are just up the road. This is the gateway community to the 3 and ½ million-acre region of Maine called the North Maine Woods.

Great looking property. Perfect size for my interests. Rick, you mentioned Moose tracks and deer habitat. Is there any sort of black bear and or grouse population on property? Thanks!
Martin there are probably a few bear and grouse that may be in the area, but it is not an ideal location to hunt bear or grouse.
Like the property, nice flat near river.. How are they on Off Grid Solar Camp/Home all year round? Would the Sun support it if I took couple trees down? I didn't see how you got from road to the water? Was there a trail? Would I have to cut a trail in to build near the river?
As long as you had a clear view south you should be in good shape. You will need a generator too, as there are times when the sun does not shine.
We are cloudy 8-9 months of the year, so good luck with that.
@@SirenaSpades Well my solar panels work very well at my home, as they do at the off-grid systems I have installed. That being when you are building an off grid power system you need to have a generator too.

No it is not in tree growth. To be in tree growth a lot would have to be at least 10 full acres, this is 9.8+-.
What does it cost to bring in utilities?
Not sure. The run would be about 1500 feet. Best estimate is to call the local utility.

Deeded right of way is always a problem
That would be a gross misstatement of fact. Deeded ROW's are registered at the registry of deeds and are very secure. Now that being said< I have seen ROW language that was completely vague and either written by a want to be attorney or a property owner themselves somewhere in the properties history, and in those cases yes, the ROW was not worth the paper it was printed on. In general, in my experience a deeded ROW is very secure. Most of Maine's properties would be inaccessible without ROW's to access them, now that is a fact.
