No one is talking about the elephant in the room, Moerat? I'm sorry but how many chances does he have to get? It's one thing to select someone for his captaincy credentials, it's quite another to put up with his poor line-out jumping and "hospital passes" he keeps giving to other players. I've never seen someone hold back for so long on a pass before passing it once the opposition is on your lap. I would have thought you're a good player first before being selected as a captain...something doesn't make sense. What am I missing @Brenden?
Rassie's bromance with Moerat. He loved that Moerat flew over to support the Stormers with his own money and messaged Rassie asking what he could do to help. Rassie loved that.
@@enriquenelson7184 Indeed, the problem is though that could be viewed in two ways, either as committed and showing support or as a teacher's pet. Anyway the bottom line is he needs to buckle up because Jean Kleyn, Lood, Sous are al coming back eventually, we don't pick players as captains first...Rassie knows this I'm sure. Make Sasha the next captain in 2 years time. Graham Smith was captain of the Proteas at the age of 21, and had a stellar career with strong leadership, it can be done.
Jaden Hendrickse was a good scrum half who also played a fantastic fly half game at school level where he was the outstanding main place kicker. He carried Durban's Glenwood school into the top 4 nationally.
Argentina needs to win by 3 trys to get the BP, they don´t need 50+ points because it will be decided on the head to head between the two if they tie 19 points. Still, almost imposible, but you never know.
It was the teams fault we lost. Our defense was very poor, 26 missed tackles!! Rassie wants his players put under pressure, we pay now, but benefit later.
Those who state they do not know what Moerat is doing in the team are quite disingenuous. Rassie stated himself why...Moerat is presenting a specific demographic group. In that lies the answer already that Moerat is surely not in the team as the best player. Moerat is an average player at best. All the talk about where he comes from and how good he was as school boy and U20 is all smoke and mirrors.
They know why he is in the team but if they admit it, they will have their channel squashed. No established rugby journalist in SA will run the risk of being honest about interference in selections.
Moerat school level lock nothing more why not bring in Jason Jenkins as well we have problems in our line outs as well rassie pse chase away Moerat truly
Well it's undeniable that this Bok squad missing 7 of their star players would play in a final. If anything it gives confidence and we are used to seeing Rassie try match the Bok squad to the team they play, experiment didn't work this time and it's easy to pick apart why which is what all the rugby channels are doing but a tweak here or there, defence issue, missed tackle, yellow card, missed kick at goal or the sideline, a lineout, unexperienced captain etc could've easily gone the other way and Libbok would've been carried around like a hero had he pulled off a Steyn or Pollard moment, these top games are won by very small margins and I think Rassie has now answered all the questions he needed. We must not forget the quality of rugby of a well preforming Pumas side, equal to that of NZ, Aus, Eng, Ire on a good day and to have just come short considering PSDT, Kolisi, DDA and all the rest weren't even playing is quite remarkable. The other point is that all teams around the world have been studying the Boks D. The game and strategies progress constantly so emotion aside this is not a train smash for the Boks as much as it is a celebration day for the Pumas so let them have it, it's good for the sport and good for Argentina, they waking up after sleeping through the RWC, well done to them for beating the big SH 3
Manie missed two touchline kicks from a difficult angle to win playoff games. One against Glasgow in the URC quarter final and one against La Rochelle in the champions cup quarter final.
@Brenden Nel i saw at the end of the game, the Argentine's hoisting atrophy... that same trophy I keep asking about ? Whats the name of the trophy bud ?
Why do we not have Braam van Straaten as our kicking coach. I simply cannot understand why such a successful rugby brand have not employed Braam. We have all the other fancy coaches - attacking, defence, scrum, ball handling coaches but no specialist kicking coach. It pathetic to say the least. We will lose the next world cup because we are too tunnel visioned to employ Braam.
Manie is an avrage kicker but under pressure he is a horrible kicker. Kicking under pressure is literally in the springbok fly half job description... We lost so many games in 2022 when willemse kicked for goal and he had the exact same problem. Why don't they learn!!!?? Even before that, when Elton jantjies lost us games coz he could kick under pressure.
The points system is a absolute joke, the way it's calculated and which makes the World Rankings a farce. Example, Ireland only gets to the Quarter Finals in the WC and is placed second in the World Rankings, but the Springboks & All Black's,win there games in the Quarter Finals,Semi-Final and meet up in the Final of the WC, South Africa moves to 1st place in the World Rankings and here is the ridiculous thing, the All Black's are placed 3rd in the World Rankings, and the Springboks have won 18 of there last 20 games and only have lost 2, but now they are moved to 2nd World Rankings, completely ridiculous.
Brenden - some time should have been spent focusing on SALMAAN MOERAT. At least on TV we saw NOTHING of leadership or inspirational skills. Others have pointed out he didn’t chat to the referee and he didn’t get his players together meaningfully during the 26 point horror stretch. Worse than Manie, Rassie surely cannot continue to accommodate him on perceived future captaincy value when arguably he’s further down the rankings in locks as Manie is in flyhalfs. Might as well give the vice captaincy to Sacha when he returns - he’s got swagger AND talent!
Why are the Boks always behind by 4 to 12 points at half time...and then they have to fight back with the help of the Bomb Squad in the last 20 minutes to win the game narrowly??? Sigh...this is FAR TOOO STRESSFULL!!
My question - everyone knows Pollard kicking % is way better and should have come on in the last 20min when it's important, start a play maker if you're not going to take the 3. The game plan was stupid
They should have started marnie and had polly on the bench. I think they are not doing well by marnie he needs game time. And no one is noticing our other guys missing kicks
I will ask this about any player. How do you not have confidence and at the top of your game at that level? WTF are you doing there then? Either you can kick consistently or you had better bring something else to the game.
Manie missed a sitter 5 points by offloading when he should have held it. He has to play more to get the pressure plays!! Loose forwards and Salman very poor. Back line also poor. Bomb squad nearly pulled it off!!
My concern is the apparent lack of rugby nous from our players . In a situation where we know we must score to win a game , I don't see our guys doing anything constructive to make this happen . Full time professionals should better be able to dictate things on the field .
Bok fans feel let down by this performance.... Not because Boks lost, but more because of the manner in which they lost. It's not that Argentina won the game as much as Boks lost the game. Boks could have, and should have, won this test match. The poor execution of some basics when not even under much pressure led to their downfall and it should never have gotten to the pressure situation on the kicker in the final minute.

Rubbish. Marx is far more active in general play than Bongi. His lineout throwing needs some work, but Bongi was far worse in the second test against the ABs.

Plain race politics.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂@@enriquenelson7184
Jaden Hendrickse was a good scrum half who also played a fantastic fly half game at school level where he was the outstanding main place kicker. He carried Durban's Glenwood school into the top 4 nationally.
Argentina needs to win by 3 trys to get the BP, they don´t need 50+ points because it will be decided on the head to head between the two if they tie 19 points. Still, almost imposible, but you never know.
They have to win by the alot because they need a bonus point and because of our points difference.
Love G’s input, agree with so much he has to say. 👍🏼
Great content as always Brandon. Enjoy hearing Gavins thoughts on the game.
Take away players who do not perform, match fees and fine for 3 matches. Morrat se moer Libbok se Nobok
It was the teams fault we lost. Our defense was very poor, 26 missed tackles!! Rassie wants his players put under pressure, we pay now, but benefit later.
Maanie missed kicks when he played for province in the Currie Cup as well. The problem with Maanie is that he can only play at 10.
Ramos from France is a good example of a metronome kicker (Kolbe charge down aside)
Funny how no Saffa commentator talked about the SA v Ireland elephant in the room: Kolbe's deliberate dive to cheat a win.
If you guys want to talk for hours, I’ll gladly listen for hours
Why do we not have Braam van Straaten as our kicking coach. I simply cannot understand why such a successful rugby brand have not employed Braam. We have all the other fancy coaches - attacking, defence, scrum, ball handling coaches but no specialist kicking coach. It pathetic to say the least. We will lose the next world cup because we are too tunnel visioned to employ Braam.
Defense lost us the game not Manie
As bad as our defense was we still had the opportunity to win with that last minute pen - so no one is buying that
Manie is an avrage kicker but under pressure he is a horrible kicker. Kicking under pressure is literally in the springbok fly half job description... We lost so many games in 2022 when willemse kicked for goal and he had the exact same problem. Why don't they learn!!!?? Even before that, when Elton jantjies lost us games coz he could kick under pressure.
Interesting measured discussion. In Rassie we trust.... bring on the threepeat
Y can't u guys give credit to pumas thy came back from 17-0 down come on u guys are sore losses.....
If u listened to the entire video you would have seen we did. But our chat is about the Springboks. So we talk more about them
Boks are number 2 in the world now ! But who cares ?
If we win next weekend I think we will be top again.....if anyone cares
@@sakabula2357No we won't. We are playing at home against a team ranked lower than us, we can not gain any ranking points, we can only lose points.
The points system is a absolute joke, the way it's calculated and which makes the World Rankings a farce.
Example, Ireland only gets to the Quarter Finals in the WC and is placed second in the World Rankings, but the Springboks & All Black's,win there games in the Quarter Finals,Semi-Final and meet up in the Final of the WC,
South Africa moves to 1st place in the World Rankings and here is the ridiculous thing, the All Black's are placed 3rd in the World Rankings,
and the Springboks have won 18 of there last 20 games and only have lost 2, but now they are moved to 2nd World Rankings, completely ridiculous.
What matters about 2nd place who are world champions that matters 😅
Pollard was heat exhausted
My question - everyone knows Pollard kicking % is way better and should have come on in the last 20min when it's important, start a play maker if you're not going to take the 3. The game plan was stupid
Manie spends too much time managing the shot clock - ready, aim, fire!
Manie is under pressure because the shotclock is in his head.
The Sharks no 10 or the Lions no 10 should be given a game
Excuse my afrikaans: manie speel soos a tannie,hy dink hy kan maar hy kanie, skop soos pollard of mngomezulu, want hy is nie a zulu 😂😂😂 poetic hey!
Springboks supporter am I and totally Rassie Believer South African follower quoted three times World Cup champions 🏆 in fact we The Springboks hold four world Champions 🏆 two in a row going for three in a row ...so proud 👏 and absolutely 💯 love rugby ...

Can you imagine if the Pumas win the rugby championship in South Africa! All hell will break loose and everyone will be after Libbok’s head
But Pollard directly let 2 tries in via missed tackles = 14 points plus a missed conversion.. Maybe they should ask for his head rather?
@@ajayc641Pollard single handily won us the 2023 WC - he can afford to have a bad game. He has credit in the bank. If it weren’t for him we would have gone home in the QFs
Agree, my point is not to blame Pollard tbh.. Just that everyone should look at the bigger picture in yesterday's game.. Plenty other mistakes were made and that is just how it is.. They cannot blame 1 or 2 okes for the loss..
@@ajayc641 unfortunately the blame will ultimately lie with him. If the kick was 50m on the angle - then one could forgive him - but practically missing straight out in front from about 30m at best is very poor ! If you can’t nail those kick in important moments what hope do we have for him to deliver on the biggest stage
Well, if Pollard did not gift 16 points then we did not need a 3 point kick.. So we disagree then.. All good
Moerat and Eskom needs a to go! Especially eskom. We have a whole bus load of loosies that can play Tony Ball so much better. Faster, better ball skills and tall enough to be jumping options
Vamos Pumas carajo!
Let us address the elephant in the room , which is Salmaan Moerat. Quota system all over again. And the ither players know it. Libbok should never have played for the Springboks after thd first few games expoaed his shortcomings.
The Bottom line is It was not a difficult kick !!!!
It was his Job to Kick it over , he is NOT OF INTERNATIONAL KICKING STANDARD...
Rubbish .... Manie played for WP A week or so ago...I think .
We will lose the championship thanks manie and moerat 😮
stop making excuses...messrs rich and nel...there are plenty of practice sessions!
This one guy with the glasses is a real puppet...manie fanboy...cant forgive and keep making excuses for manie...he needs to go back to Dobbo and his hoola hoop team...
'Analysing the Bok defeat' - really!! thumbs down on this one. Generalizations galore and reminiscing about games from 1990s left me no wiser on what and why it all so went wrong.
I dispute his game time as a defence. Even when he was playing week on week he was missing posts. Sacha at fullback and we rotate the pivots. Fullback could come in like a flyhalf.
Marx had a shocker all tournament.
Rubbish. Marx is far more active in general play than Bongi. His lineout throwing needs some work, but Bongi was far worse in the second test against the ABs.
Argentina don't have to win by 50 points. The tie breaker before point differential is head to head wins. If Argentina win with a bonus point while denying the boks a bonus point, they win the championship. Overall points difference is immaterial
Vamos Pumas carajo!
