I'm not really happy about the time I've been spending lately just scrolling on social media. So I've pulled out my box of knitting supplies that I haven't touched in several years. I'm working on a scarf and reach for it now instead of my phone.
Knitting or crocheting helps me stop being on my phone while I'm watching TV. A really good alternative! I'm going for my first knitted blanket this year.
I need a combination of both bread and vegetables because if I want bread I will not be satisfied with eating only vegetables. That’s what I learned coming out of anorexia and binge eating: I need to eat a healthy amount of the food I’m craving at the moment in combination with nutritional dense food to avoid binge eating.
For me I found the gym is one of the few things that work. Overwhelmingly on the internet I find people say they hate the gym but I loved it. I would dress up in cute clothes, work out and afterwards I'd go food shopping and count it as weight exercise (I dont drive.) I also crave healthy snacks and water after a workout so I'd often get huel or some fruit as a treat. I hate seeing myself in the mirror though0 it makes me self conscious and I focus on the gym as a time to feel good. I also have special headphones and a good playlist too! I definitely recommend making it as fun as possible!
I used to watch a lot of series, episode after episode and it always ended in feeling bad and my mind felt cluttered. I switched series to reading books! It helped a lot, after a good reading session my mind is not overstimulated and I get to buy books which look pretty on shelves.
I have adhd and it’s literally not possible for me to workout for more than a weekend if I don’t like the sport. But I was lucky to find smt I really love. It’s dancing. I love so much to wear my dancing heels and dancing clothes and dance sexy passionate choreography in my dance school! It just amazing feeling. 💃
Working out at home since covid, 5 days a week and it still feels like a chore (never been a fan of the gym either)! However, I also have noticed that, when I feel a bit cuter when working out, it makes a difference, glad I'm not alone!😅
I completely agree that you want to look beautiful while you work out! I used to be a pre-proffessional dancer and now I do ballet recreationally. My ballet technique as well as my enjoyment is always much better when I have a nice outfit and lipstick!
Thank you so much for sharing these excellent tips! While I set a goal to meditate each day, my bad habit is that I often skip it. I found something as simple as using a cashmere eye mask filled with lavender while I meditate motivates me to do it each evening.
I totally know what you mean about having a 30-minute body appreciation type workouts. I am not a red lipstick girl currently, but feeling pretty and in front of a big mirror the whole time I work out is like the number 1 priority and thing that gets me doing it and being consistent. Love how honest and fun your videos are!
Would you consider doing any food videos again? I used to get so much inspiration from how you prepared and presented your meals, not recipes more the snacky and picky dishes. They always looked so fresh and healthy and tasty! 🥰
You are absolutely fab, love your unique content. The mirror you workout in front of is gorgeous, do you know where I can get one like it? Cannot promise to workout in front of it. ❤
Thank you Jenny, great video! I put my phone on airplane mode on risky days: new years eve and my birthday, when some people text you in the middle of the night or very early (i'm a parent who's been very deprived of sleep). Also, I try to do all the chores fast in the evening, so that when my child is in her bed, I have some free time for me alone before sleep and no chores at all.
Comfort eating -> nutrient-dense snacks Too lazy to work out -> making workouts enjoyable (cute outfit, music, etc.) Being stressed-> going airplane mode (on the phone) Drinking alcohol-> beetroot smoothie and walk in the park
As strange as it sounds, the best way for me to feel on top of my game, mental clarity, and feeling great is a prolonged fast. This means I don't eat anything for 24-36 hrs., I do drink coffee, tea, and lots of water during that time. I don't think about food at all. I feel my body "heals" during this time and it's a sort of balancing phase for my body/soul. I do this once or twice a week.
Not at all strange. Fasting is proven to enhance clarity by balancing blood sugar, reducing inflammation and fueling the brain on ketones which are shown to improve cognition.
I stay up too late, getting up is difficult! Haven't found a solution yet, I think I am just a bit of a night owl. Love your blouse with the big buttons in this video, where did you find it?
Another amazing video ❤. I’m just obsessed with your videos . What camera do you use for your thumbnails photos even looking back form 5 years your thumbnails look so sharp and beautiful 😊
Last year I noticed that coffee, although I love it, affects my wellbeing so I swapped to tea which was the best thing I did and meanwhile I get more sleep as well. Now I only drink coffee when I am out, like a treat sitting in a cafe watching people, talking to friends ... So I made out of an unhealthy addiction a mental health positivity treat ... Or at least I like to think I did😂❤ I absolutely love your trade off on snacks , for me it works with sweets. Means I can satisfy the craving by eating fruits ... So I am lucky there
. . I'm eating popcorn while watching this (speaking of popcorn obsession). Your video is making me so hungry (for more than popcorn). haha. I have never thought about working out with lipstick on! That sounds fun!! I sweat a lot and think moisture on my lips would add to feeling good while getting all hot. Nice. Thanks for the advice. I know coffee is a drug (which I am not a fan of at all anyway and have only ever tried one sip of ever), but cocoa/hot chocolate is something I drink every morning and is really good for you since it has fiber, antioxidants, good for your heart, and is tasty too. I've been starting my mornings drinking it lately.
The popcorn is really really healthy. It literally is a vegetable and it literally has a lot of fiber I mean I guess if you’re putting a lot of oil and butter like that on it it’s not but it’s certainly not the worst choice. There’s a big difference between crisps and popcorn popcorn would be a healthy substitution for people that need a lot of Christmas and french fries.
I made myself a cute month planner and stickers. I'm like a child but it's working for me so far. I think it's also important to occasionally mix it up... Yoga feeling stale? Find a belly dancing class on YT. Normal walk feeling boring? Hop on a bus and walk around the city a bit :)
As someone with ADHD, who is also massively drawn to anything potato, im trying to cut down on my carb consumption and eat more protein. Makes a difference in ADHD brains, apparently! I'd like to do more healthy snacks and meals, but stress has me going for whats easiest a lot of the time. As an android user, I've found using the minimalist phone launcher incredibly helpful to stop spending too much time on my phone. Not a magical fix, but it has definitely helped!
Hello kindred soul who hates working out! I don't know other people who feel the same. Everyone goes usually "I eventually start feeling good when I work out". That aint me. I hate it from when I start to when I finish and then I want to go to bed.
I hate physical activity sooo much. I tried pilates once and felt I will die of boredom in the middle. But I don't mind moving but in a meaningful way for example driving to second hand on bike, use stairs when going down (I live on 8th floor) or even moving by foot when possible
I think home made popcorn is nutritious. Cooked with olive oil and marine salt for example. Of course bio kernels. That's really a thing. You eat less because it is really delicious... and actually cheaper. I love homemade popcorn from time to time. It had tons of antioxidants and magnesium btw 😊
Yes! Finally! Someone who is pro-placebo. The mind creates most of our reality, so if something is creating a pleasant reality, whether it’s ‘true’ or not, you are existing in a pleasant reality. How is that not a desirable effect?

Hey, Jenny! Loved that you talked about dressing up and feeling pretty to exercise, that makes a HUGE difference for me as well! 😊
it's so worth it!

I have a hard time exercising. I was a sports physio for 5 years, overworked, so I got to the point I hate the gym or any exercise.
This was a great video, thank you!

I think it has a very high glycemic index 😬
Corn was never meant to be popped. It is no healthy choice 😊
I recommend making popcorn at home with nutritional yeast!
A good vid Jenny, thanks for that:)
Mine are : replacing a coke with fizzy mineral water
With every cup of coffee a huge glass of water 💧
With these simple acts my life is more peaceful
Yay for healthy comfort eating! :) Love this vid! Xx

Oh my how I've missed you. This is the first time youtube has re-recommed to me!
To be honest, I only enjoy yoga.:) I liked the sunset colour.:)
Does Fanka only ship in Europe. I'm in Canada...

Those Matrix-like workout pants are 🔥
I also detest the gym, but swimming, anywhere is wonderful.
I do yoga every morning without fail, otherwise I feel ‘off’. And I know what you mean by not being hung over but the drink ‘affecting’ you
I just love your content. I have for years.
Wow, thank you!
Promoter of placebo. Loved it!😂❤
how tall are you?
My unhealthy habit is definitely drinking wine! And funny enough I counteract it working out.
My unhealthiest is bedtime procrastination. It's a vicious cycle 😢

Start CYCLING seriously. You will never lack motivation, the pleasure of riding is endless
My counter and healthy thing is to eat raw almonds. I keep a large bag on hand
