2025 is the year of investments and budgeting! 2024 was a very spendy year, so I'm looking forward to no-buy, no international travel, and planning for the future.

I love my alone time and being an introvert shouldn't be seen as a problem... My goals are pretty simple. Gym, whole foods, save, family time and find a new hobby like knitting ❤❤

Agree, Agree, Agree... I periodically do a clean up of channels that I no longer get inspired by. I never get tired of seeing your videos. I love your way of thinking even when it's complex because like you said your complex way of thinking also has its pros and btw produced some amazing inspiration for all of us viewers. Eternally inspired. Thank you! Since you asked... I too started to make some changes in the last year for a more slow paced enjoyable life and I started by cancelling my IG account and unfollowed many YT channels that did not align with my hobbies, goals or values. I try to only follow ones that are truly what I enjoy and happen to be relaxing, educational or inspiring. I made an effort not to watch shorts of any kind or scroll anything. I realised immediately (ok and with a little help from my husband) that it was leaving me frantic and shorted my already challenged attention span. I FEEL SO MUCH BETTER! I was concerned that by constantly scrolling, comparing etc. I was not getting anything done in my free time towards any of my own creative goals. For now I only watch You tube as a treat when I want to wind down or have a morning coffee. TBH In the last few months I started to analyse a toxic friendship that I was allowing to guilt me for not wanting to socialise and gained the courage to confront them this past year in which said friend decided to not speak to me anymore, and can I tell you?... It's been really peaceful. The holidays were so much more relaxed without the added pressure of feeling like I am obligated to see, gift or spend time with others. I know that sounds selfish but if all of the above was causing me to live un peacefully and constantly feel disappointed and guilty because I know I "should" do this or that and allowed others to make me feel guilty about it then it wasn't worth it, was it? I also agree that life it IS too short and I need to work on making it the best for me and those I love. My New Year's goals are to paint more, read more, and love more. Work towards making my relationships less superficial and more profound and sincere. Work out my quirks, or on the ones that need working on and dedicate organised time to my goals one step at a time. Jenny, I wish you and yours a very peaceful Happy New Year filled with all that you desire. Can't wait to see what good things are ahead for this New Year. sending love your way.

Definitely spending. My hubby and I spend too much on food as well. 😊 This year I want to pencil in time for rest. For the past couple of years we have been feeling burned out by year end and we realized we need to make rest a priority. 💕

    Love this! Let’s start fresh!
    My list is:
    1. Saving money for an emergency fund, I am so bad at saving money…. I thought I was over with my shopaholic tendency but no 😅 so I really want to make a change.
    2. Following spending less time on social media that trigger my wants and I need this mindset.
    3. Curate my wardrobe first and then everything I own. This year is going to be a slow/ no buy, I have set a list of more thoughtful things I want to remplace in my home and need to sale before buying anything new. And i am adamant to follow the rule one in one out.
    4. Listening to my body, November I was on the brink of burn out saying yes to many times to extra hours thinking making extra money and December my body just punch me by being sick for two weeks , that I would never do again!

I love when you do these videos and I find them so relatable! I was just talking to my husband today about how obsessions and rabbit holes are so bad for my brain and I want to relax and not fixate on things so much. So maybe " don't worry about it" is a great motto for me this NY too! And YES, anti-multitasking 🙌🏼

Thank you for sharing Jenny ❤ I choose a theme and a word every year and 2025 is I Choose to be seen for the theme and my word is Transcendent. I Absolutely can relate to the desire to save and have a calm life. This is an absolute for me but I also want this to be the year my side business becomes my full time job and the year I master French & German. 2025 is my last year before I'm 50 as well. That brings a whole other set of goals and values with it as well. I am looking forward to your recommendations for books in 2025. I absolutely loved the books by Jean Rhys. Thank you... tiff

I decided that 2025 was to be my year of refinement. An intention to refine my skills, my possessions, my finances, my self care etc you get the idea. I’m in desperate need of of taking charge of my life and having a focused intention to keep me on track.

I don't watch social media on my phone, I watch it on my computer and I have autofeed shut off. I'm working on replacing the furnishings and whatnot stolen by moving van thieves in december of 2023... too many things still in cardboard boxes. I'm low income so things are bought slowly, and carefully.

Very helpful & inspiring as always! Happy New Year to you both. Next year I want to try to worry less about what others say or think, which is difficult in a NYC Co-op! I also want to get back to regular meditation.

I call myself a functioning introvert. So I enjoy socializing a bit but I'm perfectly fine with alone time and have a thousand things to occupy my interests. With you on abandoning books and TV shows or anything else that doesn't really interest me. Cut back my YT time and just watch my favs (obviously your channel). I'm abandoning my bullet journal. I used it to create good habits and now that they are routine I no longer need to track most things. Have my daily To Do list but I prioritize and have no problem to moving things to next day. On the other hand I'm increasing journaling and incorporating book notes, anything that inspires me and sketching things. I'm hunkering down for the winter to sit back and observe how the world is changing around me and figuring out what my place in it is. Slightly annoying that you are so wise so young and have come to conclusions that it took me into my 70s to figure out. ; )

Reset? I'm very worried, concerned, scared of the unknown about my country. Money is at top of the list, medical, taxes on my house, food, bills, ... etc. Unfortunately, I am stuck, afraid of the future, and the unknown.

Saturday, when all the possibilities are possible ;-)
You could ferment your kombucha by yourself. You'll need a huge jar and the fungus itself (I think it's called). A new one will split off from the old one when it's done.
Doing one thing at a time is a luxury when office life requires one to do everything at once. Getting ones priorities in order is the best way out of that and towards a more linear way of working again. But you need to make sure that you do prioritise enough things that are fun as well, and save time windows for spontaneity as well, even within the work life.

Love these videos 🤍 For me
    - main goal - working on being more present and intentional about how I spend my time (this ofc includes reducing time spent scrolling)
    - saving money - last year I had no choice but to dip into my savings a bit, so I want to save it back up and then some
