I want a dog so bad that I'm over here watching dog vids update: after 3 years, i’ve finally gotten a labradoodle 🥰 another update: i now have 4 doodles
She knows her Bullmastiffs! FABULOUS breed of dog. Menacing look but hearts of GOLD ! Sweetest dogs going. I had Boozer for nine years, nine WONDERFUL years and we lived in an area with a lot of pit bulls. All I had to do was walk with Boozer down the sidewalk and the seas would part, like he was Moses at the Red Sea ! In the few scrums we got into (inadvertently) Boozer would throw a right paw, knock the other dog off balance and usually down and Boozer would pin the other dog until he submitted. Bullmastiffs are NOT killers, they are "submitters", they overpower a dog and gain a dominant position and that's that ! Boozer was "Therapy Dog" material but he was just too large and just nudging against an older person could knock the person down. RIP BOOZER ! I LOVE YOU ALWAYS ! and p.s. Jax is BEAUTIFUL !
Had my Bullmastiff - "Anchor " for 9 yrs. A very impfessive beast. He was very easy going but stuck terror just by his size & face mask.Glad I had the chance to have him in my family.
I lost Elsa at 10 years. A most fabulous family dog who grow up with my two children (from 6 and new born). i can not begin to tell you what a wonderful dog she was, to think of her now still brings tears and we all still miss her. On one occasion I was out walking her and two drunken dick heads stopped me and threaten me with a bottle, raising it above my head with the intention to strike. I said out load 'have you not seen what I have by my side' Elsa just looked up at them, move that bottle one more inch and I will introduce you to her. At this point and for the first time ever, Elsa growled and bared her teeth. Lets just say I was not hit and the nobs walked on and apologised lol
@TheRealCritique PitBulls isn't a breed numbnuts. 😂😂😂 . It's a label. Don't blame the dogs. They are one of the best breeds if raised correctly. My American PitBull Terrier is so social and friendly, i feel like he will guide the robbers to my safe if that ever happens. 😂
I have a brindle bullmastiff named Ralph, he’s so loving and protective of everyone in my family. The woman in this video is so right about the breed! I’ll throw the ball for Ralph and he’ll look at it and lay down lol. He always wants to be with the family, but he also is very aware of his surroundings. Sadly, he’s 9 yrs 8 months and getting close to passing, but he’s lived such a great life and I’ve never regretted getting my wonderful dog.
@@glizzymixtapes5268..... yes, they're lazy but don't get in their way. Lol. I remember us coming home, Bucca lying on her bed, and we'd get TWO thumps from her tail. One for each of us... to lazy to get up, just go back to sleep knowing all was well. Such a blessing she was. 😍😉
I got my son one it has been a favorite breeds. As large as mine is he is the easiest to have around. Very laid back and quiet till a legitimate change in environment that they feel need to be alerted he would suddenly let out the largest deepest bark I've ever heard. Lol they will definitely scare off a bad guy
this is a very unique channel - giving an objective view and one of sentimental value at the same time while presenting the gorgeous species dog. very well done.
My mom had a bull mastiff and when he turned a year old she had to get rid of him and asked me to take him. At 1st I didnt want him and for a week tried to find him another home but when someone actually did want him I couldn't go through with it. A year later and hes my bestfriend and I couldn't imagine life without him now
This is my first Bullmastiff. At 15 mos. He is already 152lbs. A very BIG & STRONG boy. The entire family loves him SO much! Can’t imagine being without him.❤
The day you let a bullmastiff into your home, is the day you secede sovereignty of your household to their capable hands. Yes, I will prioritize scratching your ear over my food. If you lay on top of me, that's were we are stuck this evening. I love you so much, and I am afraid you don't understand that.
Yes! My boy is 18months old now and 151lbs. Definitely a gentle giant…he loves people and other dogs. Sometimes he forgets there’s such a thing as personal space and he thinks he’s a lap dog. This is also my 1st BM. I’ve always dreamed of having one but had to wait until we had the time and funds to properly support a larger dog’s lifestyle ❤ 😂 🐾
Great video! We had a female Bullmastiff and she was the best. Lost her at about 8 to Cancer. In my search to find a similar dog that lived a bit longer and was a bit less prone to health issues we got a Boerboel next. She was a little different, but really good too. Higher energy, about 30lbs bigger, and a bit more aggressive in a good way. Now we recently lost her to a health issue, and here I am again contemplating our 4 legged future.. I never look at it like I'm replacing a dog when we get another dog. I look at it as I'm just getting another family member. The soul crushing loss is awful when you lose them, but it's no match for the years of joy and laughter they give you. So soon we will begin again..
my female is 2 years old. pretty protective of her territory against other dogs. when the other dog behaves well then everything's fine but she doesn't like it when they get loud, show aggression or dominance. doesn't tolerate any shit on her territory :D
Thank you Nicole for this wonderful and accurate video. My un-neutered show bullmastiff, was a red-fawn color similar to Jax's. It touched my heart to see you with Jax since it brings back so many memories. My boy was named "Grendel", after the monster in "Beowulf" the oldest epic poem in Old English. He lived to 12 years old and I was heart broken at his passing. For a number of years I worked from home and was a bachelor, so it was just Grendel and myself for hours on end. We formed a VERY tight bond. He had a 200 word vocabulary after years of constant training, and he protected me several times where he actually took control of the situation in a very concious and calm manner - he totally dominated these situations by using just the right amount of force, the minimum needed to control the adversary and nothing more. It was amazing to watch his mind at work. And, he was the most loving, funny, loyal, caring, tender, and wise companion anyone could wish for. Bullmastiffs all the way! I am planning on get a new guy this year (2019), and watching bullmastiffs online is how I ended up viewing your video. Jax is luckly to have you for his 'mistress'.
My little buddy Max died of lymphoma at 7 years, 8 months a couple a weeks ago and I miss him so much. The Bullmastiff truly is a wonderful companion. I miss those beautiful brown eyes and the way his expression changed when we would interact. He was just a sweet boy....

Had 2 bull mastiffs. One of mine in particular was extraordinary. Unbelievably loyal dogs they are. Everyone says they are but you won’t ever know until you have one. Absolutely fantastic family dogs, I was raised with one in my household. She was the greatest gift my parents ever gave me. Miss her so much
Lost my bully one week ago, she was 10 so a good age but the most devastating thing I’ve ever experienced, our house is just so empty without her, this is a special breed of gentle giants!
I have a bullmstiff and he's only 4 years old but your comment made me cry for you as well as myself for when this eventually happens to us. Very sorry to hear about your loss. They are the best friends in the world!
The only thing equal to the love and affection that you get from a bullmastiff is.......the pain and heartache that you get after they get cancer and you put them down and watch their god like eyes roll into the back of their heads....you are absolutely right ....best dog.....short life.....I love you always Brutus........
We lost all four to cancer, one aged 10, two aged 7 and one at only 4 years old. Lymphoma, sarcoma and spleen cancer. So sad, best breed ever but I am too scared to buy another, I desperately want to, but the sadness when they go is unbearable. Love you Cherry, Lewis, Leo and Harley🧡💙💙💙
This is by far the best video to describe the Bullmastiff. I'm the proud owner of my 2nd Bullmastiff and everything in this video is so spot on. Once a Bullmastiff owner, always a bullmastiff owner. Greetings from Belgium.
@@HollywoodColt the english mastiff is much bigger and lazier. It is very much an easy dog to live with. The bull mastiff is a mix of the english mastiff and the old english bulldog. Super high energy, very athletic and I can do a lot of my running, cycling and hiking with them.
I found that if the boy is around there are smiles and laughs all around, big gentle giants that are so good with children it's a joy to see! my daughter has grown up with one and wow you have to see it to believe it.
I have a 16 mo old bullmastiff, Truman. Everything you talked about in your video is so exactly spot on. He's our first and We are crazy about him. Thanks for a great video. Such a great description of temperament and behavior. Hope to see more from you and Jacks (sp)
I had a Bullmastiff. He was amazing. Super smart, layed back, social butterfly and a DROOL MONSTER. She is right about their personality. They think they are people if they are raised properly. Great dogs.
Me and my family had a bullmastiff, but he died because he was top old! We loved him so much, he was the best dog! He never attacked people just like that, he was always playing with me and the other kids on the street! He was good natured dog! His name was Ronnie 😭😭😭 We miss you Ronnie ❤️❤️
My mastif died in Oct., Chops, he was 147lbs and 7 years. Its been such a hard time for our family because he was such a large part of our family. I didn't realize that not only do I miss him, but everything you said is 100% accurate and exactly how we raised and handled Choppies. Relating to this really made me smile and I still can't believe he is gone but this video brought me some joy and I really appreciate you!
I love how they always want a close bond with their family! I'm really thinking of getting one in a few years when my daughters are a bit older and understand how to treat a pet with love and friendship. I want them to grow with their buddy.
Don't wait to long, even if they are to rough for a minute, he will stop them, they just know how without any agression. My children were just like that, pulling at his skin and ears. He would just put his massive foot on them and try to play You really do have to have one before you can understand them, they're beautiful dogs and very gentle with wee human's. Their interactions with children can sometimes bring a tear to you. So don't wait, there's no need! Get one, you will not regret it. Ps. Inclusion is what they crave the most. Even if it is only a ride in the car for milk!
My family had a bullmastiff. She became the little sister, and I still cherish the memories of that dog, because she was as sweet as can be. She joined my mother in visiting old folks homes etc. and I can easily see the part of the video where she explains that a simple change can "trigger" their instincts. We changed a pot around in the garden, she would circle around it and tell us something was "wrong" with her turf. I miss that dog so much, there's so much more than words can describe. She was perfect. The old timers loved her, and she loved them. RIP Hera.
Bull Mastiffs are a marvelous dog. Wonderful disposition, but train them well. Great guard dog. They're quietly guarding all the time. AMAZING. !! We had BUCCA. (boo-ka) for 8 EIGHT great years. Lost her to cancer. The most wonderful dog you could have. She was 130 pound mass of muscle and gentle as a lamb. She watched out the window watching like a hawk....and cool as a cucumber. Love you boo boo. Rest in peace, we love you. 😍😍😢😢
I have owned dozens, upon dozens of breeds, but the Bullmastiff is a very unique breed !? I am so attached to this breeds everything, that I can't imagine ever owning another breed !!? Their shear dedication, and concern for their owner, has spoiled me !!! Highly intelligent, great memory, nose, eyesight, sensitive, yet tough, alert, yet calm, doesn't bark unless necessary, doesn't bite, unless necessary, just the best family guard dog, and companion, you could ask for !!!
This is my first "discovery" of your channel and I think was a great look at this particular dog breed. Thanks! Great woman - it was like sitting and listening to a friend tell me about her dog.
awe this makes me miss our bullmastiff Goodie was awesome she would check and make sure that we where all in our beds asleep before she would go and lie down in her kennel for the night it made me feel safe know that we had a 100+ lb bugler alarm
My best friend was a bullmastiff and he was very protective of me. He gave me so much unconditional love and he always cocked his head in the funniest way at us...I lost him due to sickness. I miss him so much everyday. When he was a puppy I was a baby so we really grew up together and sometimes I can still hear his barks and see him running all over the backyard from one side to another.
I'm a huge fan of Mastiffs and Rottweilers,I've had two of these crosses and imo it's the best cross ever, similar dispositions and size. My current Mastweiler is playful, loyal and follows me absolutely everywhere...even to the loo!
I had a lab-mastiff and he was smaller than my actual lab. Cutie. That made me fall in love with mastiffs. They seem so sweet and he was one of the best dogs ever.
I have multiple disease and I truly believe my bull mastiff is my Angel because he has saved my life so many times. When I have seizures he alarts everyone. Some how he can tell when I'm in pain because he follows me all through the house when I'm not feeling good. I love him so much
I had a fawn male bullmastiff named Sam who was a wonderful family dog as well as being both a Canadian and American champion. He was the easiest dog to train of the three breeds I have owned. I highly recommend getting a bullmastiff as they are ideal for families with children.
I lost my Bullmastiff to old age a few years ago. She never left my side during the day but insisted on being outside at night, instinctually. She was the best dog I've ever had, and I'll never own another breed.
Bull mastiffs always make you laugh as she said especially as a puppy or atleast my dog she is always in her water bowl she plays around in the grass and she is the craziest little pup to!
We had a bull mastiff for many years.,and he was the love of my life. My boys adored him and when Iost him it took me years to over come his loss. Good bless my darling Walter
I've owned a Bullmastiff, he was so gentle, loveable, and loved kids. I now own a Bullmastiff/Shepherd mix. He's 125 pounds and looks exactly like his mastiff part except for the nose. The only drawback owning one his their lifespan. The average lifespan is 8 to 10 years. Our dog gets excited when I tell him the grandkids are coming over. He's so good with them, and takes all the ear pulling and being used as a pillow in stride.
I own a bullmastiff cross. Massive big girl and I love her drooling face haha. Always really chill and loves to greet people when going on a walk. she is extremely protective at home but I make sure she sits a behave. When people enter the house I have her go to them instead of having people approach her, after that she's your best friend. We look after a 3 year old and he's been coming over since he was 1. she loves the little boy to bits and will follow him around and just loves cuddling him and playing.
Your Jax is magnificent! I just lost my Boy Jackson to lymphoma last month he was 7 and brindle 😭❤️😭💔Needless to say I’m devastated by his loss. Everything you say about this amazing breed is so true. They are the sweetest, most loving, faithful dog you’ll ever find. I didn’t think I’d get another Bullmastiff or any other breed after losing Jackson, but after having a bullmastiff in my life I can’t imagine my life without one.
Kebekske, My Rottweiler is very sociable. He loves attention from people and leans against them for a hug. I took him to an art festival last month and he got lots of hugs by leaning on everyone. A police officer was rubbing his belly.
GOOD LIVING rotties get a bad name. mostly by people who have never interacted with one. one of the most loving, affectionate dogs. my mate has one and it's more of a lap dog than my king charles
I love these responsible owners
Thank you! It is always so nice to hear that.

He's a Gorgeous Dog. Love This Breed.
RIP Chops ❤️🙏.
I sat through 6 ads for you, love you Dogumentary TV!
Good looking! :)
He would just put his massive foot on them and try to play
You really do have to have one before you can understand them, they're beautiful dogs and very gentle with wee human's. Their interactions with children can sometimes bring a tear to you. So don't wait, there's no need! Get one, you will not regret it. Ps. Inclusion is what they crave the most. Even if it is only a ride in the car for milk!
Really nice looking dog
Thanks for the compliment!
Yeah, they're really good with kids too. I have one.
This Bullmastiff is truly blessed to have this type of owner.
Such a beautiful boy!!! It's also soooo nice to see an example of an owner who hasn't had their pet 'fixed'!! :)
RIP Hera.
I am getting a mastiff in 4 weeks 5 days and this owner has actually give me some useful tips, like the one reward them rather than disciplining them.
I love these series bro, gives people a true sight on how it is living with a certain breed. Very educational.
Just signed up I have a 3.5 month old! Thank you!!!!🎉
Thank you Kate and congratulations!
i want this dog breed so bad i made a whole presentation on the bullmastiff just to persuade mt parents :>
She is a wonderful owner! And Jack is a great boy!
I loved my baby Sampson. He was a bullmastiff and this described his character to a T! This was informative and great!
He’s so amazing looking!!!! I love Jax!! I have a 10 month old brindle boy and he makes me so happy every time I look at him!!
She's such a wholesome person
I love your channel, you've come a long way!!
Best dog I’ve ever had or had the pleasure of knowing. RIP Rebby.
This is my first "discovery" of your channel and I think was a great look at this particular dog breed. Thanks! Great woman - it was like sitting and listening to a friend tell me about her dog.
Agree, she really knows what she's doing, and she seems like the owner every bullmastiff deserves.
Fantastic video and it's really nice to see somebody as responsible loving and caring for an animal as this lady is.
awe this makes me miss our bullmastiff Goodie was awesome she would check and make sure that we where all in our beds asleep before she would go and lie down in her kennel for the night it made me feel safe know that we had a 100+ lb bugler alarm
Magnificent owner and Jax well what else other than awesome can be said really intelligent too .
love the bullmastiff breed. perfect dog. thanks for the video.
HMT MTH r
These dogs are amazing. I had 2 females separately and they are calm affectionate, quiet and great with kids. They rarely barked. I miss them.
Excellently done and very informative video it helped inform my wife about this breed and now we're getting one.
This was wonderful. What an awesome dog and dedicated, passionate owner. Great job as usual +DogumentaryTV
I like the dedication that you have for your dog and each and every minute details about him.Love the way you love him amazing 👍
I'm a huge fan of Mastiffs and Rottweilers,I've had two of these crosses and imo it's the best cross ever, similar dispositions and size. My current Mastweiler is playful, loyal and follows me absolutely everywhere...even to the loo!
After having a bull Mastiff I can say they are the best breed for me. I love my baby girl
Me: “I hate bull mastiffs”
Sees this video: “mom let’s get a dog”
Mom: “what dog?”
Me: “bull mastiff”
Chxxxry Plays trust the best family dog you could ever have I used to have best dog I’ve ever had
CapriPapi how
I had a lab-mastiff and he was smaller than my actual lab. Cutie. That made me fall in love with mastiffs. They seem so sweet and he was one of the best dogs ever.
Great video and what a great dog🙂
Thank you for the compliment!
Glacier Blue and a good person, the owner, Nicole.
I have multiple disease and I truly believe my bull mastiff is my Angel because he has saved my life so many times. When I have seizures he alarts everyone. Some how he can tell when I'm in pain because he follows me all through the house when I'm not feeling good. I love him so much
Great video I've watched almost all of them keep up the great work 👍👍👍👍👍👏👏👏
Jax is just a reflection of his owner.... you can tell she s a very positive, happy Individual. Beautiful Dog
That dog won that lady.❤️
I had a fawn male bullmastiff named Sam who was a wonderful family dog as well as being both a Canadian and American champion. He was the easiest dog to train of the three breeds I have owned. I highly recommend getting a bullmastiff as they are ideal for families with children.
thankyou for a very well produced and accurate bm video.
Great vid on this breed. What a lovely animal, the owner speaks well for them too. I can see that they are very much part of your family!
Excellent video! Lots of good advice about the best breed there is.
Why am I watching this? I miss my boy so much 😢
We had a bull.
Yes he was chilled out guy.
Thats all you need to know.
Easy going nice guy..
So enjoy ;)
I lost my Bullmastiff to old age a few years ago. She never left my side during the day but insisted on being outside at night, instinctually. She was the best dog I've ever had, and I'll never own another breed.
Bull mastiffs always make you laugh as she said especially as a puppy or atleast my dog she is always in her water bowl she plays around in the grass and she is the craziest little pup to!
This video was the clincher for my purchase of a 5th generation pedigree BM. We love our dog. Thank you.
What an impressive BM (Jax).
Thank you very much for the compliment! We are very proud of him.
Thank you for sharing your story, Nicole!
Nicole Riesgo Beautiful pup.
TopShelf dont flush take a pic
We had a bull mastiff for many years.,and he was the love of my life. My boys adored him and when Iost him it took me years to over come his loss. Good bless my darling Walter
YUP I all ways have my "slobber cloth" near by!!
Melissa Griffin we call it a drool rag
at least they don't drool as much as some Mastiff, like the Neopolitan.
Why are bullmastiffs so prone to cancer?
This dog wants to show people how fun life can be? Wow!
The burglar pet my bullmastiff on his belly and my dog accompany him to his escape car...
Pepito Manaloto lmao u had a chill mastiff no bull
So did mine lol. His sister however is a different dog!
@@Itsjussmonie lol 😂
I've watched so many of these videos. This one is just lovely
Excellent video, you have the best dog breed videos!
Jack is such a handsome boy!
Our Dino has had knee surgery and so bow legged that he doesn't get enough outdoor life but WOW what a incredible friend!
When I move something in the house Tyson always barks, let alone anything new like a christmas tree :D He wants to kill it
I own a bullmastiff cross. Massive big girl and I love her drooling face haha. Always really chill and loves to greet people when going on a walk. she is extremely protective at home but I make sure she sits a behave. When people enter the house I have her go to them instead of having people approach her, after that she's your best friend. We look after a 3 year old and he's been coming over since he was 1. she loves the little boy to bits and will follow him around and just loves cuddling him and playing.
loved this video, thank you so much !!!
13:37 is so true. My dogs know when to jump up and play vs when not to depending on what I'm wearing. Its crazy
Nice dog! My doberman is named Jaxon and we call him Jax as well.
I didn’t think I’d get another Bullmastiff or any other breed after losing Jackson, but after having a bullmastiff in my life I can’t imagine my life without one.
please do living with a rottweiler.
Karandeep Shura yep
They have already made one.
bullmastiff bite force is stronder than rottweiler...google it they did a video..
I miss my Boy❤️that's a nice boy you got👍🏼
