Why can't there be more people who combine Metal and Electro like Blue Stahli and Celldweller do? This is so awesome, but there's so little of it!

    Lyrics (corrected by Dmitri Leontev):
At the edge of the hellfire
It's the end of an empire
In the line of the gunfire
It's the end of an empire
    Again, again, again
It's the end of an empire
A start, an end, a rise and fall
No system eternal and no one immortal
Creation all must end in destruction
We cannot change the fate of civilization
    Start, end
We build up the symbols of power
    Rise, fall
    Constructs of a mortal mind
    Life span
    Conquer in our brightest hour
    Mortal
But then we all must fall in time
    Through space and time
    We can't escape this paradigm
At the edge of the hellfire
It's the end of an empire
In the line of the gunfire
It's the end of an empire
    Again, again
It's the end of an empire
    Time, love
    Kingdoms, each of us reigning
    Dreams, death
Over the realms of our hearts and minds
    Space, mind
    Conscious that death is awaiting
    Sea, pit
But even death will end in time
    Through space and time
    We can't escape this paradigm
At the edge of the hellfire
It's the end of an empire
In the line of the gunfire
It's the end of an empire
    Again, again
It's the end of an empire
In the death of a desire
It's the end of an empire
At the close of a lifetime
It's the end of an empire
At the edge of the hellfire
It's the end of an empire
In the line of the gunfire
It's the end of an empire
    Again, again, again, again
It's the end of an empire
    Again
It's the end of an empire
    We're falling into the unknown
Another ending that's beginning to unfold
We're falling into the unknown (it's the end)
Another ending that's beginning to unfold
It's the end of an empire
We're falling into the unknown (it's the end)
Another ending that's beginning to unfold
    It's the end
We're falling into the unknown (it's the end)
Another ending that's beginning to unfold
It's the end of an empire
It's the end of an empire

@@NickQuarfordTf are you talking about, Celldweller already “sold out” years ago doing Dead Rising 2, Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel and Need For Speed: Underground. And it’s not selling out, it’s gaining money and publicity for the use of your songs, selling out is when you sacrifice the soul of your band and in turn ruining your music, or going back on the true message of your music, Celldweller doing Cyberpunk 2077 wouldn’t have done that. Let me guess, you don’t like things that are popular and mainstream.

Once upon a time, a sweet lovely woman named Wish Upon A Blackstar appeared. She was beautiful and graceful with sweet melodies that blended well and synths that could make a man drown in tears.
Then before her appeared a gruff man named Celldweller (The Album). He was more rigged and based with drums and many riffs that felt sad and powerful, but he himself knew how to push through the pain and became great.
They approached each other... fell in love... and had amazing wild sex. After nine months, this amazing child was born with both heavily well blended riffs and absolutely gorgeous synths. He was named... End of an Empire.
    Theeeeee end. ^^

Thank you so much Klayton for creating this song, it is indeed the end of an empire.
Although it’s kind of sad that this song reminds me of a game of mmorpg (like RF online) that I used to play with my friends a long time ago. Sadly, our game services didn’t properly reach their agreements with the server moderators and closed our favorite game. So we had to say our last goodbyes and close our game. But it was good to have an experience full of great memories and nostalgia.

I disagree. The phrase can mean you are good at many different skills but someone who specializes in 1 skill will still be better. In general, the more skills you are able to perform, the fewer weaknesses you'll have.
Just because you may not be the best in anything, doesn't mean you are worthless. Where others fail because the task is outside their comfort zone, you'll thrive.

    • @Cynful

Allthough still get irritated by the reminders of how much of Melek T'aus's holy wyrd has been appropriated to create the vile Xtian lie employed by Emperor Constantine to cement Rome's power over the masses and perpetuated by the decieved .

Celldweller is back. With a bang! This new track incorporates all the things I love about his music and also brings new elements to the table! I love how progressive it is! It's 7:30 minutes long and yet when I listen to it, it does not feel that long at all. I also like how there are different acts: a beginning, an interlude and an ending - helps in telling the story.
It is a bit repetitive with all the "It's an end of an empire" lines, but, honestly, that doesn't really bother me at all.
Overall, a great start of what would most definitely end up being a great concept album! Can't wait for the rest of the Chapter to release!
Klayton will always do what he feels is right with his music and I wouldn't have it any other way!

I don't get it. First it was "too much dubstep", now it's "meh, not that great". What the hell people?! Klayton doesn't make music by how other people tell him, but by how he sees it best. If he wanted people telling him what to do, no one would be here right now, so be a little more considerate.
Personally, I find the heavy riffs combined with fast DnB beats the most epic sound there is and not a lot of people make it, even less make it sound this good. (possibly no one else)
Klay, keep up the awesome work!

It doesnt matter if its "better" or "worse" than any of his previous songs.
I really do enjoy it though. keep up the great work man :)

At the edge of the hellfire
In the line of the gunfire,
In the death of a desire,
At the close of a lifetime,
It's the end of an empire,
    Again.

Klayton, seeing you in Jacksonville was my very first concert. It blew me away what you did in this showing. It was an experience I haven't been able to compare at any other show. From following you through transitions of circle of dust to now, even fist pumping you at the show :3 While other's have criticized you I remember why you split off and did your own thing in the first place. Don't let criticism ever get ya' because you'll be true to yourself, and your work. Thank you for the wonderful music you share with us and the passion you invest into it. I'm now off to purchase this...

Man, everyone complaining in the comments must have LOVED "The Stars of Orion" *rolls eyes*
Sure he repeats his lyrics a lot in this song, but that doesn't make them bad lyrics, plus there is so much more to the song than the vocals if you listen closely with some nice sound canceling headphones.
Plus, coming from an artist who has said before that vocals are his least favourite to record, and who has more mainly instrumental albums than mainly vocal albums, this is a masterpiece for his fans of his vocal songs (like me)!
    Keep up the great work!

To all those ppl who moan about the repeating lyrics: if you understood them you would have a right to say that... he feels they need repeating as it seems no one realises he is talking about the real world... almost all of the songs he has done have such an important message to humanity, and like most artists no one gets it... damn it must be frustrating for them :(

No one slates Fear Factory for repeating lyrics in "Replica". It's the man's art, if you don't like it, go elsewhere!!!

That moment when you get the idea of an animation when listening to a song...
Only to remember you can't even draw a damn simple normal guy.
