    Chesley Sullenberger. You faced an impossible situation. Then you saved everyone on board. And then they tried to find something you did wrong. I cannot fathom what must have been going through your mind then. You are the man... I wish you were the pilot every time I get on an airplane.

    Video nor comment section has given any appreciation to Co-Pilot Jeff Skiles... Big respect to both Captain Sully and Skiles!

    It is absolutely amazing how carefully Captain Sullenberger prepared for this flight. Many would have criticized him for taking the precautions that he took especially since he was not supposed to fly over water. Some would have thought it a waste of time and space to do that and yet he thought it better to prepare. He is to be commended for letting his common sense prevail. I wish that others would take a page from his book and do likewise.

    Never see the first officer in any interviews or reunions. Wonder why. If he hadn't of been there next to sully, I bet the outcome wouldn't of been good. He's just as much of a hero as Sully.

      John citizen No, there were 154 other passengers on board and he was the last person to step off the plane after checking the rows several times. He was not just “saving his own ass” so do me a favor and fuck off.

    Glad he saved the people but seriously get off the TV. How many fireman and cops save lives on a daily. This guy landed one plane on a Hudson River and he can’t just say, guys I’m not a hero, I did my job, leave me alone.

    • @VeXu666
      @VeXu666 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Shut up.

    • @jimmyjames1411
      @jimmyjames1411 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Really. Ever hear a cop go on tv about finding Eric rudolf, Timothy mcVey, or Ted Kaczynski 10-20 years later? No! You ever hear about real heroes going on about their lives on the line and if they didn’t act quickly to stop a terrorist the entire country would be doomed? No you don’t. This guy landed a plane in the Hudson River, he followed a step by step process to land a plane safely and he did save hundreds of lives. My point is this, GET OVER YOURSELF!!! A hero doesn’t go on tv, a hero doesn’t speak about his courageous act, and he certainly doesn’t capitalize on it. A hero doesn’t consider himself a hero. I might be a hero and I don’t say a word.

    • @Broccoli_32
      @Broccoli_32 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Jimmy JAMES Last time I checked no fireman or cops sing handled saved 150+ people. Get off your high horse pal

    • @jimmyjames1411
      @jimmyjames1411 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Broccoli_32 let’s see, he’s full of it. He’s trying to capitalize, plain and simple. I don’t ever recall Steve Buscemi going on tv 10 years later to discuss how he went and volunteered his time to assist fireman during 9/11. He doesn’t go on the news or during interviews and talk about how he did what he did. He’s a hero. He risked far more than a controlled flight down to the water

    • @Broccoli_32
      @Broccoli_32 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Jimmy JAMES And did Steve Buscemi save 150+ lives? No, he did not and if you think 1549 was a controlled flight down the the water and safer than searching for 911 survivors you’ve lost your damn mind. Not only did he do the impossible he stayed in the plane and checked every row multiple times while the plane continued to sink, he was the last person off the plane.
