Sullenberger served as a fighter pilot for the U.S. Air Force from 1973 to 1980, flying Vietnam-era F-4 Phantom II jets. He was a flight leader and a training officer and attained the rank of captain while building up experience overseas and at Nellis Air Force Base in Nevada.
And he's a member of a super-secret club that hunts orphans for their meaty bits. Sully!

I live on the Hudson and had the privilege of actually seeing the Sully Landing...the site was weird, there was no sound just a huge gliding plane.
Tom Hanks is just a fantastic actor all around. Even in these silly skits, his character and lines are always delivered so perfectly! Always amazed by him, my favorite actor!

@Alfred Kaur Her staff have come out that's she's incredibly mean and terrible to work with. Also there's videos circulating of her being mean to her guests (being racist towards spanish speaking guests by interrupting them to make fun of their english accents, forcing a celebrity to reveal her pregnancy in a sleazy way that made the woman extremely uncomfortable, etc) and former guests have talked about how it sucks to go on her show. There's even a story about a staff member who was crying because of Ellen, and instead of apologizing Ellen started dancing and playing music to drown her out. So yeah people want her replaced with someone who isn't a bad host.
@Alfred Kaur I always wonder why people ask questions about something they could just find out themselves. A three-second search would have revealed everything you want to know about the Ellen Degeneres situation, yet people will ask their question on TH-cam and then have to wait, hours, days, weeks, months, or years for an answer... and sometimes NEVER. In this case it was more than a WEEK before getting your answer when you could have just looked it up yourself and had your answer RIGHT AWAY.

As a semi-retired sea Captain this hits home. As Captain I had a few Chief Officers who had been Captain for many years for other companies. I resigned my position and am working as a relief Chief Officer with younger Captains. I’m only working 2 months a year so it is not that difficult.
