Retired RN here. In practice, a fever is usually 100.4 degrees or higher. 😂
YUP! And during Covid in 2020, the CDC said to gather have a temp below 100.4 too! And yet.... Kody has his own criteria

I decided to do natural childbirth with no drugs which was one of the dumbest decisions I ever made. My husband kept telling me to breathe and hold it up the postcard of my happy place and I kept motioning him to come closer to me so I could strangle him but he wouldn't😂

Now let's do a comparison of Truelys birth and Solomans birth...how supportive was Kody of Christine...oh...he wasn't...he was making out w Robyn while Truly was crowning

@@lisaowen6103 Kody is the worst. Terrible father. Liar. Terrible plural husband. Gave up on Truely before she was born. Christine had Truely after a high risk pregnancy that ended in miscarriage. Kody did not deserve that sweet child. But she has Christine as Mom & she has David as her Step-Dad.
I was a labor and delivery nurse for 9 years. Relax and breathe to allow the head to settle into the pelvis will help while you are laboring. When its time to push you should keep your breath in and push, this is the time for silence. If you scream at this point the internal pressure is not there to move the baby. That being said crying out is a natural response to pain. Especially as the head crowns, no woman in pain should need anymore expectations placed on her.

What I find interesting is, Robyn had both babies with hardly a whimper..
But, with COVID, when she needed no oxygen...she was able to make a video.... Had a small Hospital bag, then sent home.
She said once that she was "wasting away'', and another time said, "I was near death".
Kody was crying about missing Aurora for 10 days.
My husband got COVID, and because of my Cardiomyopathy, he wouldn't let me do anything for him. I had to stay in our Sunroom, which has a refrigerator, Kitchen, and full Bathroom.
He was sick for four days, and once he tested negative on our Home Kits, in three more days...he went to work!
He said that the first two days, were the worst, as it felt like a bad case of flu.
This is a man, who wrenched his back, and had me running the entire time.
Anything else, he never complains.
And Kody would have been escorted, with her mother and stepfather , out of the room.
The Midwife's face said alot.
And Jenny,...you are much better than I am, concerning Robyn, who had three kids, but never thought to tell Kody, that he needed to get his butt to The Hospital, when Christine's water broke. In fact, he never should have left her.

We all know Kody has never had a natural birth class but knows to tell Robyn "breathe". In lamaze you are taught different types of breathing depending on where you are in the delivery process.
So true. A wife could have brought the next day clothes. But I have to say, I am caught up on the fact that your sunroom has a refrigerator, kitchen and full bathroom. Can I move in?? 😃
Oh my goodness that is right. Christine can labor alone. Robyn needs a micromanager. Christine may have found an unintended benefit of being neglected at the hospital.
Yep I was delerous for 18 hours, had a month of stomach issues after, slept alot for a month , got weekly migraines for two months after. I live on my own got my friend to throw me ibeprofen, and although I nearly phoned for help due to temoature. I coped cos I knew it could be worse. They were wimps. As soon as I tested negative went to my normal routine where possible despite issues. And told takeaways I had covid and got them to leave before I opened the door. So yeah WIMPS
Well...Robyn kind of HAD to act like she was dying from Covid, because she had spent nearly a year demanding Kody stay away from the rest of his family because Covid WOULD kill her. She couldn't very well say "Oops. Guess I was wrong. Sorry your family was destroyed by me for absolutely no reason."

After seeing this I always thought Christine had a more peaceful labor because Kody wasn’t there the whole time, lol, and with the staff he wasn’t able to be the center of attention because they kept the focus on her.

She is clearly suppressing her emotions and trying to be submissive while push a human out of her. The people she chose to have there are odd. Don't you also think a perk of polygamy would be that you have three women who have given birth and would know how to motivate and look after her. I feel that she may have been submitting not only to kody but her step dad's wishes to be there. What women chooses two men and their mother to be there when giving birth. 2 men one woman and none of them tell her she is doing well. Why didn't her mother defend her when kody was telling her off? Why did noone comfort her? Why was noone talking to her. They reminded me of vets watching a sheep in labour. The whole thing was very odd and very telling.
For one sobin Robyn wasn't crying. I don't know what happened to her in her childhood but I suspect something sinister.
Robyn was on zoom with maklty and she did give words of encouragement more than she got here.
Sorry but from a psychological point of view this scene is like peeling and onion.
Mercy. I had felt sorry for Christine, but she was fortunate she didn’t have to hear those ridiculous comments from Kody.
If it were me, all the extras would have been escorted out of the room. Period. And any stupid remarks by Kody and I’d ask him to leave too.
Seriously. Making it a family affair was super creepy. And why were they just like, splayed out on the carpet like children? None of this makes sense.
It's insane how poorly he's coaching her. He is stressing ME out just watching this. Did he ever consider she's already done this 3 times without him. I'm no fan of Robyn but I feel bad that she was told such crazy things by her mom re childbirth. Plus her mom & step-dad are sitting right there to make sure she "acts properly" while trying to bring a new human into the world. What a horrible experience for Robyn.
Right, this was my one Robyn sympathy moment. PLUS there were CAMERAS and a camera crew in her room! She had the WORST birthing environment ever!

😄What a doofus! I would have thrown him out of the room. Like Jenny, I turn inward when dealing with that level of pain. I didn't want anyone talking to me, let alone touching me, as it broke my concentration. I chose no pain meds, because I felt that was best for the babies, but one nurse kept coming in and asking me if I was sure I didn't want the pain meds. I told her, through gritted teeth, to get the hell out of my room. I hate to imagine what would have happened if I my labor coach had tried micromanaging every contraction like Kody! I did apologize to the nurse afterwards, she was very gracious and said that she'd seen worse 😳!
Oh, I'm sure labor/delivery nurses have the best stories!

I DID! No joke. I tried to go natural with my first child. I made it until the biting and was totally ready to throw in the towel, cry mercy and get an epidural!

Excellent point! I’ve watched a ton of Call the Midwife. I’m sure that makes me a midwife. I can also solve crimes, perform a surgery, and renovate a whole house. Cause I’ve seen it done on tv.

Kody is willfully stupid about anything having to do with what women experience in their bodies or minds. Yelling, crying, moaning helps expell energy to give birth. Been in labor & was groaning & apologized to the nurse & doc & they laughed said whatever you need to do. I think a 3:55 delivery room doc & nurse know lots more about L&D than
Kody. Kody should leave Robyn alone. Go chop down a tree Mr know it all.

What I remember about Lamaze class is that the breathing is to help you attempt to relax as much as you can because tensing would make the pain worse. Also, the less noise you make when you push, the more productive the push is, thus requiring fewer pushes. That being said, everyone is different, and we can’t always control our pain response. However, everyone present needs to be kind and empathetic to the person in labor. Acting like a gym teacher is not ok.

Robyn is an odd one. She picked up the quiet birth from Scientology. They wrote letters to themselves for the time capsule in present tense talking about the future. That's a cornerstone to metaphysics. And the crown jewel is her vision board from the movie "The Secret."

I'm yelling "shut the F up Kody!" I had very little to no control during natural birth as the nurses were telling me to push or not push. Fun fact, Scientology touts a "silent birth" also as they believe and words the baby hears at this time will stick in their minds their whole life and have influence on them.
Scientology also requires a woman to get permission before getting pregnant. The kids are taken away at about 6 years old & put to schooling & brainwashing. That is why his daughter, Suri, was taken out of the cult by her mother. To protect her & keep her out of hands of Scientology.

This big baby…..I had a steady temp of 103 for 6 days straight and when my throat started sucking IN when I would try to breathe, I finally went to the ER, admitted for 5 days 🥴 He is such a Drama Princess 🤪
Right? We women never go to the hospital until we're in dire straits (except for Robyn). I had a ruptured appendix and chalked the pain and vomiting up to food poisoning and didn't go to the hosptal for over 30 hours. 😂

@@SeniorPerspective-123 My Mother(bless her heart) had appendix pains as a 20 year old but she thought the terrible pain would be on the left side not the right. She almost died. This was back in the 1940's.
It proved to me that Mom liked to always be right from a young age! Also why did her parents not take her to the hospital to begin with. What were they waiting for?

Love, love the snarky-ism! Totally made my day! The military deployed my ex 2 weeks before I gave birth, let him come home, but he fell asleep on the train and had to wait 3 hours for the next one...my mom was with me telling me to say all the cuss words. (I gave birth in a German hospital)

Remember Ysabel. Keep sweet and breath and promise never to get surgery and do all these exercises and wear the painful brace until you are old enough to pay for the surgery yourself. He was not at Christine’s when Ysabel awake or he is really a blank father seeing her through that and not getting her surgery in Vegas. OMG.
Christine had Ysabel have her spinal surgery in NJ because they had spinal surgery that was top notch. Kody refused to come due to Covid. Kody did not pay for the surgery. That was left to Christine to crowd source funds.
@@g.flesch9731 in a season still in Vegas Kody talked about not going back to the doctor in Vegas cause he recommended surgery. This is our last visit. Please tell me you won’t have surgery. And Ysabel promised her dad she would not have surgery. It should have been done when the doctor said have surgery. It should have been done cause she was hurting, why spend more years hurting? He figured it would go away or be delayed to when it was not his problem anymore. It was just something else that needed money. When she announced going to community college and living with a Maddie he kept saying the school isn’t expensive. She was kid 11. What parent with 11 kids from military to private school out of state does not know community college is the cheapest college option available? The novelty of inserting and breeding wore off and suddenly he had dependents that needed simple things. Like a pain free life. Exercise and a brace was his response to a curved spine and pain. He never listens to doctors. I understand now and them but it seemed a pattern. The midwife is saintly having to endure that on camera.
I think Christine told Kody not to stay at her house anymore right before they left for surgery. He was pissy toward Christine at that time as well.
Kody was furious because "giving Ysabel strength" through his eyeballs was supposed to be a storyline focusing on him.
His primary concern for Ysabel was that she didn't become a bitter old housewife.

Not showering at her home was Kody moaning about all his crap that Christine boxed for him- was Kody looking at all the boxes & he mentions even his "toiletries" were in a box! I think he was mad at himself that he had taken his name of Christine's house, so he could qualify for a HELOC on Robyn's. That meant he had no say in ghe sale of her house. I think that's why he was pushing Janelle to buy it. He wanted it back in his control.
I didnt realize until the fight at Janelle's house, thst he felt entitled to her $80k in savings. He was furious that he didn't get to tell her how she should spend her money.
A fever is not 98 now for a baby its 101 or it was for my kids who needed their spleens out , when Kody says that he looks as clueless as he really is and he wasnt vaxxed so yes Kody your death like experience was your own fault, even tho you were fine and when Janelle got Covid with her whole family you did nothing.

I had no idea. My mom was mentally ill and an alcoholic. I screamed my head off with the first because she told me it was like pooping out a watermelon. The fear 😰. The second I did the breathing and it was much easier.
That whole thing gave me the ick. The step dad at the end of the bed 🤢🤮 absolutely not. I didn’t want my own dad in the room. Birth is a medical procedure not a spectator sport. It’s also a deeply personal and private moment. Well I for the Browns they don’t much care about that. As for good ole Kooters “coaching” skills……. Girl when I tell you I may have gotten a brand new baby and a battery charge on the same day. I’m pretty sure I’d get off. One women on the jury is all I’d need. Roll the tape. He said what while you were is labor?!!!! Not guilty! Free to go

In the middle of a contraction, while getting an epidural, I cussed, and my husband came in and told me to watch my language. If I could have reached him, he'd have been unconscious for the birth

I had 2 natural no meds births. I also am quite suffering person. My 3rd I got up to 8cm then needed emergency C-section. He was breach and I had hernia. When they put in the epidural in I thought WTF!! Why did I NOT do this for my first 2 births!! Haha😂
In all fairness, Robyn gave her parents permission to b there. Her choice. Would not b my choice . Robyn is full of anxiety & control issues. She gave permission.
True. If that was her wishes, so be it. I just feel sorry...the midwife was amazing. Other than that...Kody saying to breathe constantly even when she was pushing, her mother and step father sitting at the foot of the bed (monitoring if she's being "ladylike") and a camera crew in the room......it just sounds like the worst birthing environment ever. (oh, and no access to drugs....she's a better woman than I am).

Surprised Kody did not call Robyn in heavy labor - nagging. To Kody women are either complaining or nagging. That is Kody's viewpoint of women in general. He only really seems happy when they are filming him with his dude friends.

I have given birth 5 times. There’s no way I would’ve been able to put up with Kody. He was making things so much worse! The last thing we need is someone bossing us around!

Telling someone to relax has never helped anyone relax. How hard is it to tell her she is doing well and to keep going. Telling her she can do it.
Don't talk to her like she is a child having a tantrum. He is scolding her when he should be uplifting her. She is giving birth to his child.
She isn't screaming she looks to me like she is actually doing very well. I don't like Robyn but clearly she is in pain and she is handling it well. Funny thing about empathy is you don't have to like someone to not want them to be in pain and to see that they are.
If this doesn't prove he is a narcissist then nothing will. His favourite wife is bringing a life into the world and he is trying to remain in control. Take credit for being assertive and just making the whole thing more difficult for her. He really thinks he knows best. He thinks he could do it better.
Seeing this birth scene where Robyn is telling Kody she is breathing does give me empathy for her. It's called LABOR for a reason.
Ha ha! This is the experience Christine told Robyn not to cheat herself out off, a home birth with coach Kody!! 😆 The only reason he’s incessantly telling her to breathe is because that’s the only thing he knows about birth coaching. He wants the accolades for being such a stellar helper, so he’s repeating the only thing he knows. 😄

A woman is designed to push a baby out. That is the line from Robyn that made me hate her. I never had a baby. I adopted. It does not matter how the baby comes out. It’s natural for the baby to come and mom and baby both live through it. There is no badge of honor whether c section or vaginal or vaginal after c section or having a doctor there or not. None of that is really in anyone’s control. You just do you best to get the baby out alive and mom fine. Seemed like shade toward Christine. This was alls the first indication they were excessively alternative medicines with the horse incident at least grandma was a nurse. This do it yourself healthcare started with advocating for labor and delivery your way and then turned into pandemic expert and scoliosis expert. To the detriment of poor Ysabel.
I scrub in and assisted MD with C/S. But i don't think watching surgery is qualifying to doing surgery.

When my daughter was giving birth, the nurses told us for her not to scream because she’s wasting good breath. If you blow hard through your lips, pierced your lips and blow hard the push is much more effective. At least that’s what we were told by one of the head nurses when my daughter had her child. And it seemed to be true. Her pushes without screaming and piercing through her lips worked much better. But I’m not an expert so I’m only going by what I experienced was the nurse told us.
