I like how when he described the big mods he didn't go into meaningless product numbers that so many people go into. Just "roots blower", "different head", "polished cam", "big brakes".

I've been trying to tell people about the Japanese ness of an automobile or motorcycle for years. It's just a comfy feel. Like an "in my bedroom watching TH-cam videos." Type of comfy. The ergonomics are amazing due to simplicity. Had my 02 NB2 LS Torsen for about 3 years now. It's gonna take me through med school.
During residency, I would like to do a full vvt low boost, small turbine bullet proof high revving set up. sharp cornenring/ road gripping street car. Comfy yet fun. Then I am going to invest in a track oriented NB(99) k20 powered itb . Let's see

Nice video. This series will work well, interesting to see other people's perspectives. His garage was awesome being hewn log built. Would have been great to see a tour. Keep up the good work! A handheld gimbal might be a help for action shots.

Good video, great Miata, excellent advice! His advice reminds me why I like my 6 cylinder Z3 so much (even though I have an MX5 and a 986) Listen carefully and learn: 11:53 Question: ~ "What's the best advice you can give someone in the car hobby like what's the best car advice you've either got or can give to someone? (awkward phrasing). 12:00 Answer: … really think about what you want out of the car... rather than taking a car... and saying ok, I want to do this with it. … Take a step back and ask what's the driving experience that I want? If that's in your current car, then great. If it's not, find the car that fits that rather than trying to make it into sorta what you want sometimes, cause you'll end up modifying maybe a car that's your putting a lot of money into something that's really just not gonna really ever do exactly what you really wanted." Exactly, excellent SC MX5, but look at the time and money involved! And ya COULDA had an M Roadster (z3), or a 986 Boxster, both which outperform a mod street Miata! I'm still waiting for a factory Miata RF with a turbocharged aluminum V6! Oh Yeah!

What size and type of wheels are those? Did the fenders need to be rolled? I'm looking for a wider tire without needing to roll fenders. I'm slightly lowered(about 1").

haha it all depends what you want from the car. The Miata is an awesome drivers car, but not the most practical. With the e30, you can take your friends cruising since it has more room!
actually a have a 7 yr old daughter and a car with rear seat is best....but bmw parts are expensive....i also like the body style of mini cooper but like bmw parts are expensive and i see a lot of videos showing they are unreliable.....maybe ill just get a miata and keep my ever reliable 1999 camry LOL
Having a Miata and a daily is the way I would go. I have a 2006 Elantra "Hand-me-down" as my daily right now. As much as it isnt cool, its dead on reliable, gets great gas mileage, and allows me to not rush work that I do to the S2000. Because of that, I have grown to like the elantra...for now
What wheel set up are you running?
15x8 +20 C1 by TRMotorsports. In order to get them from Tire Rack you have to buy them for a BMW e30 because they don't 'fit' a miata. I had to roll the fenders, no liners either. They aren't super light at 14.8lbs and you can tell. Had 6UL's before but I wanted a change and loved the aggressive fitment.

is the supercharger a roots/centrifugal
Kevin Smith roots, if you look at that small snippet of the engine you can see over by where the stock intake manifold used to be there's a roots type supercharger, also you can gear it.
