    Thank you. I've never seen a video where someone explains gho-ja-cheh-gii (the motion at 8:50) in English. This is really cool!

      This is in English called Khatra , which is a tern borrowed from the Turkish/Arab/Persian tradition, it's basically that same bowhand movement and a good yt source on it is Tirendaz and Armin Hirmer. It's curious to see that, the more i learn of Korean tradition and Turkish one, the more similarities i see between them, like this Khatra/gho-jah-cheh-gii

    This is wonderful, thank you sir, for passing your expertise and knowledge to the archery world. My new Korean style bow is wonderful and powerful for my needs. Thanks from America. Very new to me, but very useful also. I was able to take a rabbit for dinner, great.

    자잘한 문법적 오류가 있지만 커뮤니케이션에 전혀 문제가 없고, 특히 영어가 모국어가 아닌 사람이 실수하는 건 당연하니, 실수를 전혀 두려워하지 않으시고 하고 싶은 말을 바로바로 영어로 바꿀 수 있는 능력을 가지신 게 부러워요. 오랫동안 외국 생활을 하시며 영어로 지도하신 게 엿보입니다.
    (영어 울렁증을 가지신 분들을 위해 좋은 내용은 조금 알려드리자면...)
    겨울과 여름철의 습도 차이로 10파운드나 차이가 나는군요. 이성계의 사불가론이 생각나네요.
    그 차이 때문에 높은 습도로 활이 약해지면 더 강한 활을 쓰고, 겨울엔 더 연한 활을 쓰며 일정한 감을 유지했겠군요!
    고자체기를 하는 이유는 화살의 진행방향이 활의 센터에서 벗어나 있기 때문이고, 숫깍지와 암깍지 중 취향대로 쓰되 강궁엔 숫깍지를 추천하시는군요. 암깍지는 손가락이 아파서 전 강궁엔 쓰기가 힘들던데, 50파운드나 75파운드의 강궁을 쓰면서 암깍지를 쓰는 괴물같은 아재님도 있더군요. ㅎㅎ
    국궁은 거궁 자세를 왜 꼭 할까 궁금했었는데 파워를 얻기 위함일거라 생각했는데 맞았네요. 막상 줌손 고정에 깍지손만 당기려고 해보니 활이 강할수록 당기기 어려워지지만 활을 들었다가 내리면서 만작을 하면 등근육 개입 때문인지 훨씬 큰 힘을 낼 수가 있어서 만작시키가 훨씬 더 수월하더라구요. 줌손은 밀고, 깍지손은 당기는 동작을 동시에 하면 양손의 밸런스도 맞아서 만작이 더 수월 해지더군요. 그래서 그렇게 만궁시켜왔는데 궁금증이 풀렸어요.
    만작시엔 깍지손이 귀밑에 있는 게 바람직함. 얼굴과 시위가 닿는 부위 화살과 얼굴이 닿는 부위, 시위의 다른 부분은 가슴에 닿는데 세 접촉 부위가 일정하게 하면 좋은 화살 집탄이 됨.
    조준기가 없으니 거리 별로 활이나 줌손등에 마킹을 해도 되는군요. ㅎㅎㅎ
