  • Ivyland, Bucks County, PA. Grenoble Train Station was built in 1891 on a farm in the middle of nowhere. It was torn down in 1953. All that remains is the overturned and abandoned train coach car. Rarely used stretch of New Hope & Ivyland Railroad.

The Lenapi Indians used to have a camp there , you can find a lot of arrowheads in that area.

Why did they build such a fancy station there I wonder if it was so desolate & forlorn? I assumed it was a pretty area from Old Jacksonville Rd.

Great job Mike. I’ve traveled that area working for Bell Telephone in the 60s and 70s. Back then Grenoble Rd was open from Old Jacksonville Rd to Rushland Rd. Keep up the great work. I look forward to the next one.

I always wondered about that bridge back there. Why did they cut traffic off from continuing thru?
