So, who are the business analysts and how do they fit inside a company? Depending on the organization, this can be an entry-level position or a role for experienced professionals. In fact, business analysts engage with a wide variety of tasks and the job description from one firm to the other can be very different.They may report their findings to the head of a particular division they are assigned to; or alternatively, they might be discussing a specific case with a product or a project manager. And, in some instances, the business analyst serves as the link between the business development manager and the respective head of division or product owner.

about the Bachelor's degree, which field should it be related to, Business or data science?
you don't know anything and learn unless you test and do the job ! As an entry level, I only see theoretical things I need to do in practical ways, which is very different from watching academic information .

How is it different from financial analyst?
I am myself BI Analysis ( I can only speak from my work experience here ) I do touch a bit of the finance side but we analyze data for all department. Optimizing the logistics and supply chain ( what product do we need where and when ) Optimizing the warehouse layout so product flow better from packaging to packaging. Analyzing witch demographics has responded better to a sales/promotion. As a BI analysis you collect the most information you can on something the company wants to enhance/fix then you find the trends and best practices then help the manager implement changes in their processes. As a BI Analysis I really like meeting new people from all department and working together to find the best solution to the problem they are experiencing.

It will be very helpful it anyone answers this
It would help understanding some formulas you'll use however, everything is on the computer and excel so the math part is automatic.
You just need to understand what the math connotes and whether or not its useful for your findings.

What about technical business analyst
Some years back they decided to split BA as Business BA and ICT BA. The latter needs a more s/w design skills set rather than business enhancement skills. But he still needs to know business basics to design solutions to improve business

Sir I am a Mechanical Engineer with 15 years of experience in core sector (manufacturing). I want to pursue MBA in Business analytics. I am 36 years old. Is it a worth to switch my career at this point as I am not enjoying my current role. And I have interest in data science.
I am 35, I will be completing my MBA next month, I enrolled as a part time, it took me three years instead of 18 months, and I never regretted it once. Now I am further studying courses in business analysis to specialize in it more and I am looking for a job suits mba graduates.
Not sure where you come from, but I am so happy with it, I have done my mba in doing business around the world. And I also studying data science on data camp, me as well have deep interest in data science.
Note: I am originally a secretary / assistant and I wanted to step out of being assistant for 10 years.

Data Science is related, but is very specialised. Beyond the level a BA needs to get to. The BA will ive in the information and report space. The data analyst lives in the data space. Where he brings sanity to the data.

Lmao the salary requirements are so off. 50k is extremely low for a BA. Even for entry level you should be well above 60k. I say 65k is decent for entry level for most US regions. Very experienced BAs should be making well over 90k. If you're a very experienced BA and only making 90k or even lower, get a new job.
How is it different from financial analyst ?
A financial analyst is really all about the numbers as represented in the financial statements. He can draw reports on these and make recommendations on where to cut costs or improve revenues. He is not too bothered with the how of doing it. The BA though has to recommend the "how". In the vid they talk about implementing "findings", which is incorrect. The findings inform a recommendation, which when designed and approved, will be implemented
