  • Here are a few simple rules that you can use when blocking counter trey against an odd front.
GT counter is a great run scheme whether you're facing even or odd, but the responsibilities change depending on the front.

So you're blocking ace and arc on the front side and running a triple concept with 3-4 with both OLBS walked up ?

If both OLBs are walked up then I have a 7 man box, which is why I package run plays with pass plays to give my QB the option to throw it

      10 Personnel?
Ace doubles the nose for the 1st LB to the backside of the Center Line
PST takes best release for 1st LB to the play side of the center line.
      BSG kick out the EMOL
BST Wrap pulls for the LB stacked on the center line (over the nose)

4i to play side with 2 BS...are you kicking the 4i? Is your PST still going to BSLB?

PST still down to BSB. If 4i wrong arms we’ll log and wrap around it.
