on the 3-3 stack the teams we have played brought the third backer as an overhang and he is blowing up a lot of plays to side the running back is on the will also rotate the safety down to cover the y receiver
The reverse pivot tells me this is more of a mid zone to true inside zone instead of wide zone. I know it’s splitting hairs…
This is awesome. Thanks for posting.
No problem!
get on top of the ball - 100%
Always!
How many reps would you do of each one?
About 3 throws for each is a good amount to warm up withh
I am a varsity RB coach at the high school level. Our running game is subpar, and so is the passing game. Our OC is constantly ripping into the RBs if they dare leave the Center Line before reaching the back of the O-Linemen. In your video clip, the RB almost immediately tracks to the open field. My OC wants the jump cuts at the line before deviating off the center line with the belief the two LBs in the middle will close down on the center. I am a “see green and go” believer! Just get frustrated when on a 24 yard gain by my RB, I get lectured that he left the Center Line! I want to stay on my OCs same page, and I know his philosophy will work on a piece of paper with Xs and Os, but a football field is a fast moving dynamic with players moving and plays not always going to plan.
I do want my backs to press the A gap with their hips/shoulders square but if they see grass right away I want them to take it. A lot of times they see grass on the cutback which is when they jump cut to slip out the back
Definitely illegal. WRs need to do a better job of playing it off by turning their heads like the ball is coming to them or even cutting but they all just engaged right into the db , no type of slick play off Terrible
I will like to help you edit your videos
😊
what's the purpose of the tennis ball during the High Knees drill?
I see you’re from Monterey which is near my area. Thoughts on Aaron Rodgers and Mahomes mechanics?
Sweet! Where are you located? They have made it look super easy. They are both elite at getting their front foot down to the left of their target which helps them get their hips rotated through. Insane rotational force which is why Rodgers feet pick up off the ground
Blocking
It's so great. What software are you using for the video? Are these vids from an iPhone or other?
I filmed with my iPhone
Do you have a video on running Inside Zone and Outside Zone with The Tight End on the Line of Scrimmage? Great videos keep up the great job
Not yet, but something I’m working on!
Love it coach :) It looks like they are reading the DE on the Counter/Screen package...if the DE sits they give to the RB, if the DE immediately strikes upfield off the edge, they throw the screen...We actually run this concept out of 30 formation (3 RB's in the backfield including the QB, just as USC is aligned and it is a simple read for the QB (with practice reps).
Love the video especially the ole Miss esq play fake
Enjoyed the video, Coach! The link to the condensed formations video was not there at the end.
Coming soon, coach. Will let you know when it gets uploaded!
Thank you coach! I play amateur football in China. Your videos and articles help me a a lot!
That’s awesome! Glad to be able to help you all the way out in China!
Great stuff as usual coach but volume is very low on this video
Thanks for the feedback, I didn’t realize volume was low… I didn’t have that issues playing it back myself?
More drill video would be more beneficial
I’ll do my best to put more drills together!
Great info!! Ive been having a problem with my 10 yrs old son with him keep his throwing arm elbow up, putting his hips into his throw & following through with his throw.. He use to throw from his hip I broke him out of that
Glad it was helpful! Takes a lot of reps to build muscle memory but it sounds like he’s on his way
Would this work against Palms 2 read
Yes it will as safety takes 2 vertical opening up the post by 1 behind it (in 2x2)
Thnx u coach
Of course
Using Zachariah Branch strictly as WR is limiting his production, he should be used more like Deanthony Thomas at Oregon just get him the ball at all cost.
Loved DAT in the Oregon offense
It’s a chase concept, it’s a concept that Miami dolphins use.
After looking into it I felt it was more like the Bow Concept
It’s a chase concept, it’s a concept that Miami dolphins use.
Great video, thanks!
No problem. Glad it was helpful for you!
Imagine that was Adrian peterson at running back
Great job going through the QB basics for the rollout. I like your 3 keys!
Thanks coach!
Excellent presentation... Love the "layering" concept! Have you used the Oregon or Okla St. version?
Have not pulled a guard but looking to add the motion from the RB next year
Thank you!
That lions play looks like a sucker concept
You might be right on that one. Very similar
Thanks Coach. Love your videos! If I ran this out of Ram with a sniffer. Would I have him arc for the LB or block outside on the safety?
Thanks coach! I would run it to a 3 man surface and have my sniffer get LB
Outstanding presentation Coach B!
Thanks coach
Im using these plays in my PSX madden playbook, its awesome man totally works
Thanks for video coach. Is there any key that center take over 3Tech DL? After flat 3 steps how center and RG decide who will reach to LB?
Their eyes need to be on the 2nd level defender in their combo. It depends on what gap the LB tries to fit into. If he fits A then the Center is coming off for the LB. If he fits B then Guard will come off and Center will take the DL. Center will communicate by saying “you you you” or “me me me” for who comes off for the LB
Coach, do you have examples of this against single high/MOFC?
Yeah let me see if I can find somethin for yoh
Coach, how would name the trips inside zone read bubble w/ a tag for backside hitch?
You can make it a one word call, or tag that WR to run the hitch..: “X hitch”
what is qb read in man coverage
Don’t like RPOs vs a defense that likes to play man. Still read the ILB
and also do you utilize any motion out of this?
You have any pass concepts out of this coach?
Yep; flood, snag, cross
@@TheSpreadOffense thank you.
CJ is such a great athlete and guy to look up to in general
I'm gonna use this in Madden.
As a reds oops I mean cammanders fan I miss him Ron Rivera is a Jack ass
He was a good QB
In trips..if they lock backside…and uses the WS to help the trips..it’s essentially..3on3 with the two safeties and corner on the double post and wheel…do we settle for the late crosser or work the 1 on 1 backside?
If they use WS to poach trips then yes I would talk to my QB about taking the matchup with the CB. I’d also tag comeback to the single WR against man. I’d work the RB into the concept to the single WR as well
Freakin love the Single Wing
Great stuff!
Thank you!
Coach, love your stuff! I had a couple thoughts and wanted to get your perspective on: how does shallow cross/drive/bow/dagger/mills all fit together and differ? They all seem to be somewhat similar with the dig/basic. Also, would love to hear/see your thoughts on concepts good vs Cov 3, and also your All Purpose Menu/Good vs Most things concepts. Thanks so much!
And I forgot, what other movement/defender key concepts you use and maybe how these apply to the concepts I listed in the initial comment.
All those concepts are going to depend on how you would teach the progression for your QB. Teams will read Dagger / Mills as the front side of the concept and Cross / Drive / Bow on the backside of another concept. They all put similar stress on a defense but at different parts of the field. Cover 3 I love snag, sail, curl, double post, 4 verts with tags with quick game concepts of slant/arrow, fade/out, stick...
@@claymangen3617 All quick game is movement key, stick being one of those.. movement key on ILB would be drive / bow / dagger. Cross / Dagger / Mills would movement key on the safety
Thank you so much for your reply and clarification! Newer OC trying to learn! Thanks for your help on that journey
