The only thing that the s10 had that I wish the Ranger had was the true oil pressure gauge, instead of the dummy gauge. As far as engines went, the ranger had the 4 cylinders on point. But when it came to the v6 models, it's really hard to beat the old, tried and true 4.3l.
I don't even remember, it had to have had close 200k. For some reason 187k miles keeps popping up in my memory. This was almost 2 decades ago now.@@GMC.Sonoma.4.3

I've always liked the S10s and Sonomas but the Rangers seem to hold up better over time.

S-10's were junk Rangers were much better designed and better built Truck GM quality is straight up garbage.
