My mother had a white single cab Sonoma she bought new, I remember that it had purple and blue pinstripes going from the cab to the tail and thought it looked like one of those old Dewars milkshake cups. It was a manual and both me and my younger brother remember her teaching us how it worked even though we were in the 3rd-4th grade. I remember getting in from elementary and smelling the cloth seats and how clean she kept everything. The country songs that would play from Garth Brooks to Toby Keith would almost always be playing. Eventually we moved out of state from Hawaii to California and couldn’t take everything including the truck. I would love to see it again or at the least get one as similar as it can possibly be. Even down to the pinstripes.

It's amazing how sentimental a vehicle can become due to all of the memories they can hold through years of use with family. This was a great truck! Hope you can find one like your mom's someday!

Strange how that truck was optioned. No A/C, bench no armrest, no cruise, no tach but yet its got the V6 and automatic.

Great simple truck! I would just drop in a bed liner, Done. The bench seat is great for squeezing a passenger in the middle if need be. Steel wheels can be dinged up, cheap to replace if needed. No AC or power windows to fix. I miss small basic pick ups.

I've had 8 S10 and Sonoma pickups...I had a 98 new almost the same as yours....it was 4 with the 5 speed....yours was called a dealer optioned model....only a dealer could make the options available to you it was GMs way for their dealer to make a few bucks on a baseline model....I have one now with almost 400 thousand on it and I've replaced the brakes tires hoses belts and radiator.
