This song is kind of a throwback to some of their songs from their first album, in terms of the kind of attitude that younger guys often have towards women....and it's just kind of a blues-based jam that you bob your head to as you're cruisin' along....feeling cool. Also from the 1984 album, check out "Girl Gone bad"....which is a fast tempo, kind of flowing song that you may like!
Alright guys, here are some bands you should check out. These bands are considered gold standard today: Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Steve Miller Band, Boston, Deep Purple, Kansas, Queen, ELO, Rush, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Kiss, Supertramp, Alice Cooper (Note: Alice is not a woman), Foghat, Pink Floyd, Montrose, Budgie (One of the most underrated rock bands), and I can go on. But I'll let others give you more names. Enjoy!
Good review guys! This song grows on you, it is now one of my favs. Always remember the 3 song rule!..always give a song three chances before you fully commit to a verdict! Some of my favorite songs/albums were ones I did not like at first!
React to Romeo Delight off the Women and Children First. On Drop Dead Legs, listen to in context of the album and it makes more sense. It is a bit slower tempo but still heavy. Sets up the more up tempo songs on the album.
You guys need to react to the band Boston and their first album! Go through the album...zoomers like you two are going bananas over it, and it came out in the mid 70s! You WON'T be disappointed!
The last one id say for this album would be Top Jimmy, but have you heard unchained or hear about it later? I think that was Eddie's best tone on that album.
You guys really need to do Led Boots by Jeff Beck. As you know he recently passed, so it might nice to honor his memory. Oh, his guitar work is jawdropoing.
Guys, if you haven’t already, cut too the studio recordings or “official videos” of these three songs that have imho some of the most elevated energy in their catalog. (The list is too long to put all of those similar here) 1) Poundcake 2) Judgement Day 3) Meanstreets. (I see you’ve done this one) As someone who’s been there from the beginning with the first tour in 78, a deep dive is worth the time, and the three mentioned here would make ANY play list. Like the honest reactions. Regards
I can tell you guys didn’t particularly like it which is fine. You can’t love every song. I’d rather see an honest reaction than a fake one. Nice job. My favorite band by far. Try Mean Street or In a Simple Rhyme or Everybody Wants Some. So many more to try
Honestly, only liked VH era with David Lee Roth. Couldn’t stand the hour solo from Eddie Van Halen. I get it I get it he’s one of the best guitarist ever but that shit gets boring after a while just saying.
Awesome!!! Not my favorite from Van Halen, How about, Atomic punk, it's really Good. Play list worthy. How about checking out "HEART" They have a Awsome rock sound, one of the best female rock singers from back then and now, they stated in 1967, The singer and guitarist are sisters. And just about every song they did, is Awsome. And there Beautiful. Start out or check out Barracuda. It's really good.
Killer tune! I never liked David Lee Roth, but Eddie's guitar redeemed this song for me...made me drive way too fast when it came on the radio (that's my story and I'm sticking to it 😜) When It's Love or Cabo Wabo from the OU812 album are playlist worthy imo. You are spot on 🎯 with the generic song comment. Sammy Hagar took them to the stratosphere!
Sammy took Ed and Al and Mike to the stratosphere??? Did the Van Halen brothers have anything to do with reaching that altitude??? Lol.....VH was the greatest, rockingest band on the planet well before Sammy......the first 4 albums are their greatest....
@@warinsidemyhead11 ~ just my opinion. The band had reached a plateau with DLR. The lyrics are what were lacking and Sammy provided those. It would never have happened without Eddie, Alex and Mike!!! Mike and Sammy are still rocking together today.
Don't be a wimp. If you wanted to hear all about love, you found Sammy. Maybe you weren't getting enough love. Van Halen was about partying and getting all you wanted.
MY ALL TIME favorite VH song !
IMO this is their best song!! Eddie's guitar play is flawless!!
It definitely is the best example of Eddie's swing and swagger. But I Am The One might be the best example of his skill and uniqueness. Rock on!
\m/>.
Love the outro with Ed & Al just grooving together- AMAZING!!!
The more you hear it the more you love it
This is an awesome jam. This was one of my favorite bands back in 80's. God they could jam !!!
1984 was arguably their best album. Lots of Allan Holdsworth influence in Eddie's playing around this time.
These guys are a couple of justin bieber fans
They really saying nut nut nut, not nothing😂
You guys should do "Take Your Whiskey Home". Great acoustic intro, followed by a kick ass riff.
Agreed.....there are a few tracks from the WACF album that are pretty heavy jams!
Excellent choice!
But you guys are tripping balls.
Do I'M THE ONE!
Check out ice cream man, beautiful girls, and ain't Talkin bout love

The mellow part at the beginning of Eruption?
Generic?

How about react to Aerosmith's - Sweet Emotion.

Check out simple rhyme
You seriously still have to listen to Van Halen III. I'm super curious if you guys will like the high-octane Eddie Van Halen
What's high-octane Eddie Van Halen? lol

Did your parents put you two up to this???
👍
If you want something totally different that should impress, look into Tommy emmanuel. Classical gas, Tall fiddler or guitar boogie
Honestly, only liked VH era with David Lee Roth. Couldn’t stand the hour solo from Eddie Van Halen. I get it I get it he’s one of the best guitarist ever but that shit gets boring after a while just saying.
It’s not bad. Ok

Please do The Human League - (Keep Feeling) Fascination
let the whole song play out before you cut it off and start talking.

You sound awfully biased and dumb when you say "Sammy took them to the stratosphere" --- he actually turned them into boring corporate rockers

You guys are terrible reactors. Stay in school.
gay bozys
Why would we care how you react?
