So glad this game series have a sequel. But serious, Billy and Jimmy looks BLAND as f* Almost looks like they have been redesigned by average uninspired AI art generator... Even the enemies looked more appealing as characters in these trailers...
This novice gameplay is a disservice to this game. I'm not trying to be an elitist because on one note, it's not a bad thing to see how effectively the developer can communicate how the game is supposed to be played to a new player, but bad play makes the game look simply just worse because despite all the videos they've released, I still don't have a good grasp on what will be possible in the game. Juggling and resetting the basic combo by not finishing it seem to both be there but both times the player had an opportunity to do so, he just ran away instead so I don't even have a vague inkling on what will be possible with those mechanics. This is in stark contrast to Rushing Beat X which has released EVEN LESS and yet what has been shown + what has been laid out on the Steam page and the dedicated website gives me a decent idea of what will possible in that game. These are both games that were arguably revealed sooner than they should have but one looks far more polished than the other. Also that BitSummit gameplay video for Rushing Beat X looked pretty novice level and that still looked better than this gameplay. There's also a good possibility that they release at around the same time so if this trend continues, DDR could get absolutely washed.
wow i never heard of Rushing Beat X so i looked it up and I immediately saw the same animation used in this game where the boss grabs a player and spins him around and throws. same exact animation. Same company making both?
I agree with you. I didn't understand this game at all. The picture seems to be quite good, the sounds also sound good. Excellent interaction with the environment. But the constant chatter in Japanese is distracting. And the disgusting game of a man, as if he had picked up a gamepad for the first time.
Had similar thoughts. The gameplay is killing me here, and I'd really like to see what you can do with this system. But still it's Arc System Works, so I trust that it's gonna be good. Though, not sure how I feel about being able to break boss armored special moves by just spamming spin kick, but we'll see.
This truly reminds me of DemolishFist by Sammy.
this is reminding very much of a game demo Spark Hunt. the animations, the juggling, the art style, the particle effects.
Hakkyoku jimmy in this too? Im with it.
