"You'll Never Walk Alone" Virtual Choir/Orchestra 15 Countries: 300 People

  • In the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, 300 people from 15 different countries came together to participate in a virtual rendition of the beautiful song "You'll Never Walk Alone" from the Rodgers and Hammerstein musical, Carousel. Please share this video to help spread a little hope during this time!
    “I left New York City on March 14, anticipating a short absence. The Brooklyn College Choir had been preparing for performances with the New York Philharmonic, and then that was gone. Arriving home in Iowa, I found comfort in playing the beautiful song from the musical Carousel, ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone.’ I embarked on collaborating online like so many others are doing. What started to fill the void of music collaboration has evolved to new meaning for me with the lengthened quarantine. Hopefully, the words, ‘you'll never walk alone,’ along with the visual of 300 people joining together offers the audience some comfort and peace during this time. Stay safe and healthy my friends!"

      @@gentlepen1. God witnessed to me of the truth of this song one time, just after I had a nervous breakdown, and ended up with really bad mental illness symptoms. He knew that for the rest of my life, I would be plagued with them, up and down, and anything else I experienced as a result. And I have been through some of the worst possible trials. But I always knew that God was there, especially when I had hope and faith in Him. It’s true, even you don’t feel that he is there. Even if horrible things happen around you or to you!! Even if you feel like the heavens are closed. Or if you feel that your prayers go unanswered....never give up hope!! Sometimes God is trying to get us to think outside the box. Cling to the Lord, and there is no way you will fall. Do NOT put your trust in man!! Do NOT!! Take it from me. I have suffered from listening to those who did not know what was best for me. Just put your trust in the Lord, and lean not into your own understanding.
      The Lord once told me these words, “Look unto me in every thought...doubt not, fear not.” Those are also in the scriptures.
      People do not understand the Lord....many don’t. He is not only all powerful, but the most humble being of all!! How could he make Mount Everest, the Mohave Desert, the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans, the sun, moon, starts and universe, and still make a little an beautiful butterfly, and tiny insects that all have life....even some so tiny you can hardly see them!!

He will soon weary of the rejection and the endless flipping off that rejecting people are doing. They are destroying His creation, both the human and non human. The message should be accept God and acknowledge His deity and love for all humans and His patience with us to come to Him, repenting of our sin.

    You'll Never Walk Alone is a very well known song in Europe. When thousands of people sing it in a stadium, it's hard not to tear up. Now, people are playing it frequently and singing it to healthcare workers from their balconies. Unbelieveable how one song can be so powerful.

    • @millyherzog4640
      @millyherzog4640 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It might be a very well known song around the European football stadium, but it comes from the magnificent American Musical, Carousel. Written by Rogers and Hammerstein. The first singer to record it was Frank Sinatra back in 1945. Subsequently Ray Charles, Nina Simone, and at least ten more different artists had recorded it. The English like to think, that the song is “theirs,” because it is played at the Liverpool football matches.

    • @manspetter9921
      @manspetter9921 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@millyherzog4640 That's true, but YNWA didn't become that famous in the mainstream until Gerry and the Pacemakers decided to cover it. If Liverpool fans didn't start to sing this song, it wouldn't have been a significant anthem because the song would be lost in history for most people. That said, the Carousel original is still one of my favourite versions of the song, and I'm very glad that many singers recognised the meaning and power of the song early on.

    God testified to me this truth when I had a severe breakdown and got a mental illness. I was overwhelmed with the spirit of God at those moments. He is with us when we can’t even tell, too, and when we can. He will test our faith, to make it stronger. He wants us to study and pray, and prepare for the tests of life which inevitably come. They are a a part of God’s plan, and they let us know where we are strong, or when we need to work a little more on something, We have a Savior to catch us if we feel like we fall. We only need to put our full trust in him, and if we do, we cannot fall....not possible with the Savior as our foundation.

    For me this song is the most exact song for this time specially for those people who lost loved one's, friends, neighbors and even people who we even don't know who become victim's and perished because of this pandemic covid 19. May GOD almighty give peace to all of us no matter how strong the storm that always batter us in our lives. Just keep our head up high no matter how painful it is. And at the end of the storm is a golden sky.

    My mother loved this song. My best friend sang it at her funeral 32 years ago. Hearing this here reduced me to a pile of mush as my friend passed away 18 months ago. Beautiful arrangement.

    There is an overwhelming sense of love that emanates from this performance. A love of life, a love of music, and a love of humanity. This is the ultimate expression of peace and joy. Thanks to Richard Rodgers for a song that always brings tears to millions of softies just like me.

    This actually brought a few tears to my eyes because my big sister would’ve loved this. She used to be in the Arkansas Chamber Singers until her unexpected death three years ago. I can actually see her wanting to be a part of this.

    Amazing Covid took most of my family but I still walk on and hold my head up high. I always hear this song even sing it. knowing my Mother, Father, Sister & Grandma . may hear it from the other side. God left me for reason no idea why. to see the ending and the final war. I will fight and walk on.

    Through this terrible time that we're going through I listen to music and songs like this to give me hope and to see people come together, this country is divided we have to think what really matters in life, things we took for granted people we took for granted that aren't here anymore, let's try to stay together as one if not be hateful and nasty, yes I love this song it brings tears to my eyes I always cried when Jerry Lewis played it at the end of his marathons, and for those who have passed and supper I hope you walked on to the light to your final life and you're at peace, I don't know you, but I'm so sorry you suffered and you died alone, when I get to the other side I want to look up my son I hope he's waiting for me, yes I will walk on and I will never be alone ever again, God bless everyone out there enjoy your life don't worry this too will pass, I just hope people are better for in the end, and we learn to love one another a little bit more!!! God bless you, and be not afraid!!!
