The raw ascension you did increased the base damage, but removed scaling damage from your Uchigatana. If you want scaling dmg you need to reverse the ascension from raw to +6 and then continue upgrading to +7 through the reinforce weapon menu

It’s ok for NPC quests to just unfold naturally on a first playthrough, even if you get well meaning advice.
Well I consider it like two pathways of his questline. Both is good and depends on what you choose to do. I’ve seen someone kill him without needing advice about it. They said he just seemed sus which honestly when you talk to him he does haha
@@84rinne_moo 99% of people who kill Lautrec on their first playthroughs were spoiled ahead of time. Or they just thought they would get his armor as loot or something. Either way people need to stop spoiling shit. First it was the mimics that got spoiled and now Lautrec.
In case you didn't already know, when you get grabbed by an enemy, even a mimic, mash RB/R1 and LB/L1 repeatedly so you will break out of the grab sooner. All grabs have an "HP" counter, and each press of the buttons reduces it by 1. When you deplete that counter you break out of the grab (Zullie the Witch discovered this).
Just a note on Rings of Sacrifice. They will also protect your bloodstain. So if you do die and your souls are left behind, you can equip it as added protection on your way back to collect them.
Yup, I buy out those rings as an insurance policy. Just like that. Also, reminder to remove the raw path from your weapon, it's for people who don't put many points into strength and dexterity, like spell casters.
@37:05 Blacksmiths can Ascend weapons in different ways. Ascending a weapon to RAW will increase a weapon's base damage, but lowers it's attribute scaling. For example it would be useful a magic user with low Strength and Dex. They would be better off with the higher base damage since the attribute scaling for strenth and dex doesn't really help them.
I really enjoy this long format of videos that you do and the style of your editing. This is one of the most entertaining Dark Souls playthroughs I’ve seen so far.
@@shrekboss6993 dude I really appreciate this! I’m starting to feel like I’m finding my groove in editing and content in general so this is super reassuring 🙏 I’ll keep em coming 🤝

@@Wuggernautthe reward for killing Lautrec gives you one of the best items in the game and aswell you can bring the keeper back to life. Lautrec will drop her soul and it can be used to restore firelink!
@YHShin If you reverse your weapon reinforcement do you get your titanite back? I have a Str build, currently using a lightning zwei +4. I have 40 str and think I shoulda just went the +15 route
The sub count is too low for the INCREDIBLE QUALITY of your videos. This is definitely one of my favorite ds1 series! Miscellaneous spoiler-free aid: - you are not likely to overlevel even if you try, so don't worry, keep upgrading when you get the chance. - Remove the raw upgrade on your uchigatana, as it will probably only reduce the damage you deal at this point. Keep leveling it instead. - that snake dude in firelink is not an enemy, and, if you find him sleeping, you can hit him up to once to wake him up without aggroing.
I still maintain that reveal of Anor Londo is one of the best moments in video game history. After slogging through the bleakness of The Depths and Blighttown, and enduring the horrors of Senn's Fortress, you're finally greeted with this uplifting (figuratively and literally!) moment of entering the "realm of the Gods," literally the "shining city on the hill." Thematically, you can even think of Undead Burg as the "middle classes," (with a "church" and a "channeler" that controls an army of the undead) Blighttown as the "lower classes," (with a rickety town built on a poisonous swamp) and Anor Londo as the "upper classes" (with its pristine, glorious architecture) Of course, like the upper classes themselves there's some dark (again, figuratively and literally!) secrets in Anor Londo, especially as it pertains to the royal family (Gwynevere, Gwyndolin, and Gwyn). Hopefully you find them yourself, but if not you can always come back later.
My first contact with Dark Souls was through a video recommended by TH-cam and the guy in the video was doing a speedrun in which he achieved the world record (he finished the game in approximately 20 minutes) in one of the categories. When I finally played and arrived in Anor Londo, I didn't have that first surprise, but the amazement and enchantment of the place is inevitable. I can say that the only moments that for me surpassed arriving in Anor Londo were defeating Ornstein and Smough where I was so happy with myself for having achieved it that I literally started jumping like a child. And also the day I finally finished the game for the first time. Ps: I loved the song. 😂😂😂😂
Found your channel a couple days ago and caught up on all the DS1 vids. Happy to be along for the ride! Pls be careful of the spoilers folks drop! You got this! 👍
Bro risks setting himself on fire to celebrate reaching 100 deaths on Dark Souls. This is truly one of the gamer moments of all time. Loving your playthrough, keep it up! [praise the sun emote]
The fortress always offers a good time for new and old players. By the way, the bonfire you missed is near where the bombs the giant threw fell, right where there is no fence and you can jump. Also, the cages before the Iron Giant arena are a shortcut. The idea of the Iron Giant is that it falls from the arena, that's why it can be knocked down and it has so much defense. Great video as always!!! 🎉
When a youtube channel have become my favorite TV Show it feels like an eternity between episodes, love your channel. I didn't understand the upgrading at the start either, it can be quite confusing xD Also love you started to use the knife, so handy for a meele build! A hint: The bonfire is outside before the boss, :)
58:30 Most don't even know this spot exist, congratulations. 1:01:40 You gotta love dark souls don't you? Everyone who gets to this point was warned by a friend to be aware of chests, only 1 out of 10 actually realise the trap 😂😂😂 1:04:30 I still can't believe we got to sens and I'm still genuinely cheering.for you so well you're playing 1:10:10 Hell.. 1:17:48 There you would find Mr.Onion who would give you extra dialogue about his trouble dealing with the boulders, but since you switched the boulder before, he just moved over, not big deal.
Amigo, I am SO glad that I found your DS1 playthrough. I can't praise the style of your videos enough. The clear focus on gameplay is refreshing in a time where most TH-camrs overload their videos with memes and jokes. Not saying I don't appreciate a few memes here and there to lighten it up. But more than anything, I am here to watch Dark Souls. This focus on gameplay also shows when you do stuff like moving the facecam out of the way if it covers something or make it transparent if you show the environment/background. Or when you tell us where to skip to, if we don't want to watch why you are not using a greenscreen anymore. All these little things make your videos a joy to watch. And if its as much work as I think it is, then know that its much appreciated. Now to your DS1 gameplay: I dont wanna tell you which weapons or shields I prefer, where to go or what to do, but I just wanna say that in regards to how you approach the challenge I couldn't wish for more. I really feel like reliving my first Dark Souls experience with you. The way how you tackled that hydra, got frustrated, but didn't quit... That was peak Dark Souls. And in the end you managed to do it. It felt so good, when it finally died.
Dude thank you so much for this comment. It’s these comments that tell me I’m heading in the right direction 🙏 seriously I really appreciate you picking up on these things and letting me know they make a difference. You make the long editing nights worth it dude 🥹🤝
You're in for a fun time in this next area! There's a ton of lore here and the scenery is gorgeous. I'm super happy that you did Lautrec's quest, as you can get some unique items from him only if you fully complete it. Great job getting through Sen's, it becomes a lot easier once you go through it once, since most of the area is just pathing. If you'd like any general advice, I've listed a couple things below :) 1) you were on the right idea on the giant cannonballs unlocking the hidden path (over near the mimc). You should also explore other directions the ball can go for other paths as well, as there **might** be an npc in Sens that you're familiar with already. The gorgeous view note wasn't wrong :) 2) stopping and looking is super important, especially in the next area. If an enemy projectile is being blocked by a wall or once you killed the enemies in a single room, just stand there and look for other areas to approach! 3) I noticed that you were using the "lock-on" method to determine if people were npcs or not, which is super good practice (rip Eingyi); make sure you check out Firelink again since you skipped the giant snake! There's also another npc at Firelink that you missed while running around the area. 4) For weapon upgrades: raw will increase base damage, but removes any scaling you're getting from leveling strength/dexterity. I would recommend having Andre revert it back to +5 and level it that way. For context, once it's ascended (via modify equipment), you have to go back to reinforce it to continue leveling it up. The game literally prevents you from overleveling, so don't ever feel bad if you end up maxing the Uchigatana out right now.
Found your channel last week and really enjoyed catching up on all these videos! Keep it up man. Can't wait for your reactions for everything great to come. The effort you put into editing etc. is really noticeable. Gonna give your Demon's Souls videos a watch whilst waiting for the next episode 😁
Dude tysm! I’m really glad you found my channel :) the editing style is much different for the demon’s soul play through but hopefully you like it 😅 welcome aboard!!
That was quite the runback, through all of Sen's Fortress! Great job! A week of waiting for the next episode feels like a year.. You just want to know what happens next, like in a really good movie 😄
So much of this episode was me screaming. Seeing you take on the Iron Golem multiple times was definitely unexpected, and I was so upset when you died!! But also really happy when you won! The cake part was hilarious as well. Legend has it that Wuggernaut still hasn't found the Sen's Fortress bonfire. Good luck with Anor Londo! Simultaneously one of the most beautiful and distressing places in DS1 in my opinion
By the things you did on the beggining of this episode I can easily see how some people where angry that you killed Eingyi and polietly asked you to consume the dung on yourself. I guess you can decypher the message lol
Oh no, what a cliffhanger! The end broke me, the noises were par for the course to a Souls ambiance lmao. 4 childs are no joke dude, you HAVE to had patience inside. They are the real tutorial to a Souls game lol. Joking aside: I was malding cause some times you look at the floor messages and some times you pass along like a full bus lmao. There's a troll bonfire in upper sen's, you need to fall to a balcony from a broken ledge. I'm sure the message left near was to warn about it. Be absolutely aware that some messages will help you to find secret areas if you can't (and I mean ENTIRE areas that are easily missed). If you feel that an area is being harsh cause there's no bonfire, it's probably cause there's one hidden/or not that visible. The game doesn't leave you stranded that bad, they just really want you to be aware of your surroundings. Not only cause places -and even common enemies- are part of the lore itself (Annor Londo has great bits of lore just looking at statues lol), but to discover things like that. Have in mind that the game was made in a time where people had much more time to spend on a game and internet wasn't like today. I think they wanted it like that, to make you do several NG+ and probably discover lot's of new things just by losing first timers fear. Sen's done dirty to you! It's a very tense place, made it to get you very paranoid about your surroundings. Everyone suffers it, and can be absolutely worse than Blight. And now... now it's gonna be peak Dark Souls. Annor Londo has some of the best copium moments to viewers, and doesn't let you make gray points to discuss. You'll love it, or hate it. P.S: You're Canadian, Wug? It says Niagara Falls up in the description (i'm not sure why), if so, it's really cool! A bunch of my favourite youtubers are Canadians lately, always polite, patient and very funny 😂.
Ive been so excited for this episode, and it did not disappoint. From the song of the comment from last video, to the cake for 100 deaths you can somehow make 2 hours feel like 2 min thank you bro.
Dude I found your videos while also playing Dark Souls 1 for my first time! So far I’ve beaten and plat’ed Elden Ring, Bloodborne, Demons’s Souls and Dark Souls 1, my journey still has DS2, DS3 and Sekiro on the path It’s so fun to watch someone struggle in the same BS I did! 😂 And man you’re one of the nicest and funnest dudes here in YT! Can’t wait to see you traverse Anor Londo and beyond! Btw, hope you find your bonfire man! Cheers!
The bon fire for the Sen’s Fortress area is pretty devious. It’s incredibly well hidden and a huge source of pain for newcomers however with a little inquisitiveness you should be able to find it. Regardless, thanks for the great video and love to see you not giving up easily.
1:19:07 shotel are actually east african specialty in real life. You may want to upgrade a weapon to level 10,to use a boss soul and turn into a boss weapon, each category got its own. For Quelaag is curved swords, for golem is axe and fist.
Boss weapons are a thing in the game. Not all are winners, but they may intrigue Wuggs, since he doesn't do much weapon buffing(I like to use magic a lot and most weapons outside of the normal weapon upgrade paths can't be buffed by magic or by consumables). Boss weapons do take different upgrade materials, which is a positive and a negative.
Just started, glad to see you upgrading and been awaiting the trip through Sen's since I dread it every playthrough. Update 1: Large titanite shards are dropped by the Baldur Knights(big armoured guys in the Undead Parrish). Update 2: Takes murder elevator, then somehow survives and gets to safety. Opens a Mimic chest which Murders him. Priceless... Just priceless. Update 3: Enjoy Anor Londo, there are Archers to look out for... And God forbid you get to the power couple in the next playthrough.
The Balder knights only drop small titanite shards in Undead Parish. The ones in Sen's Fortress are the ones that drop both the small and the large, it can also give you some humanity if you grind them before facing the Iron Golem. I like to farm the knight of Berenike(the big boy), so I can get large titanite shards and parts of the steel armor set for free(I always farm the Baldur Knights in Undead Parish anyway for "soft" humanity(before the gargoyles), the small shards, and the Balder Shield).
@@Wuggernaut Very important caveat: DO NOT join another covenant after you donate humanity to this one, otherwise it will remove any humanity you donated by half (e.g. 30 will only count for 15)
@@svedkanine5353 You get penalized for leaving a covenant in terms of progress, but if you save up 30 humanity and offer them to the Chaos Servant covenant all at once, it will take you from the bottom rank up to rank 2. Once you get covenant rewards, you keep them even if you leave the covenant or lose rank. Although you have to be in the covenant to use some rewards, your rank doesn't matter.
@jakevintson4786 I’ll keep this in mind 🙏 I usually stop when it feels right in the range of 2-3 hours recorded, but I won’t be afraid to go over if it calls for it 🙏
Brief explainer on upgrading weapons. DON'T ascend to raw UNLESS you plan on using that weapon with its bare minimum requirements. Raw ascension basically increases the weapons base damage, but removes attribute scaling, so no matter how much you level up your strength and dex, you will not be able to output any extra damage from that weapon. Only leveling the weapon will increase its damage. There are other types of weapon ascension types but you have to find the corresponding embers to do so, as well as the respective blacksmiths. Fun fact, there is another blacksmith hidden that you could have contacted immediately upon reaching firelink shrine without having to fight anyone (let's see if that's enough clues for you to find him edit: yes New Londo guy). When equipping a weapon, you can hit x (on xbox controllers) to see the weapons stats and scalings. If an attribute type doesn't have a scaling letter, you will never be able to do more than it base damage with it. The only exception to this rule is chaos weapons, which scale with humanity, but don't worry about that. BTW: I know where you can get large titanites for free, if you're willing to put in the work. ;)
@@Wuggernaut you can do convenient one way trips using the homeward bone consumable. It will send you to the last bonfire you RESTED at. So, for instance, if you want to go back to Andre but don’t want to fight through Sen’s Funhouse again, rest in Anor Londo, go through the fortress backwards to get to him, and then use the bone to instantly transport back to Anor Londo. This type of traveling will become very handy later because when you unlock fast travel, you’ll notice that not all of the bonfires can be warped to.
Well worth the wait, what an episode! The intro song, your reaction to the Firekeeper missing, the bonfire being out, and seeing Frampt (big slug head) for the first time were epic. And the Mimic!! 🤣 People already gave you great advice on the proper weapon upgrade path. Just make sure to check all menus before making decisions when you can! :) Looking forward to when you swing back around later on and find some of the missing goodies... and the bonfire lol. Small tip, be cognizant of when you're two-handing vs using sword & shield, gives you a little extra damage when you 2H. You'll still get Grass Crest's effect when it's on your back, and it's not like you're gonna block Iron Golem's attacks anyways. "Don't jinx yourself-" YOU DIED
Hey man I’m loving this play-through. Watching someone else experience this masterpiece for the first time is the only way to bring back the nostalgia I had when I first played it. Tip 1- look around more please. This game is hard but you’re making it a lot harder on yourself there wuggs. You’ve missed a few bonfires and good items. Most of the time it’s easy to try and differentiate the main path it wants you to take with a side path. The side paths always end with a dead end with loot or they’ll put you back on the main path so it won’t hurt anyways. Tip 2 - The blobs that drop from the ceiling in the depths drop large titanite. If you explore some doorways in the area before blightown there’s a place where at least 6 drop from the ceiling, there also may be some bright treasure in that same general area Tip 3 - It doesn’t hurt to grind souls if you feel underleveled. However if you go back to an easier area the soul output won’t be as good as when you were first there
Yeah, someone must've had a brainwave or a good trip, because I beat this game 10 times, read item descriptions almost every time, and I only knew about this by looking it up. My brainwave was to buy more talismans and chain them to get my favorite item early, an item that has killed me several times and will again. Wuggs, good luck to you(you killed the only guy who sells them)!
@@Sudden_Dairydoesn't Chester also sell Lloyd's Talismans along with mostly everything else? Although I must admit that by the time you get to him, you probably don't need them anymore lol
Very good episode as always! This is probably really late, but there's still a ton of stuff to get in Sen's fortress. I'd also strongly suggest to fully explore the upper level of Firelink shrine, there's some really useful stuff (Can be reached via the lift to undead parish).
@@Wuggernaut That's good. You can return to an early area and get some new loot, Including a ring that removes movement penalty of deep water and the swamp. So it'd be a huge help for getting remaining loot in Sean's fortress and Blighttown. But I reckon it's probably a good idea complete Anor Londo first regardless.
Congrats on making it through the Funhouse! There is indeed a well hidden bonfire at the top of Sen's, and one shortly after you arrive in Anor Londo. Near the end of this area, before the main boss, you will have the chance to use the black eye orb and avenge the firekeeper. The spiral holds many secrets.
Hint: there’s a secret area that you can find in Blighttown. Try walking to the left of the bonfire instead of the right which leads to Quelaag’s Domain ;)
@@Krucifus I think you can walk back out just fine... I do not recall having to leave that other way The Dlc you definitely need it to nope out of maybe you are thinking of that
It's ok if he misses that secret area. It should be treated like a temptation to do more runs of DS1 :) Getting back from there is a little tricky and illusory wall(a youtuber) has an explanation for it, it's his hitbox video or his geometry video.
I started the video, saw the death counter and thought "oh, maybe he'll hit 100 this episode", then i rememberes it was Sen's and i knew it would be more than 100 lol. Loved the episode, Sen's is my favorite area in this game. It's such a troll 😂
I can appreciate your comment section with the positivity about the choices on ascension. Try to avoid the raw modification, it hinders a weapons full potential, upgrading to +15 youll see a significant difference. Other than that you're very adaptive than most players first time! Keep it up Wuggernaut!
That terrible moment when you realise that, so far, Dark Souls has just been a cute kitten playing with a fluffy toy. Then you get to Sen's Fortress..... The kitten is suddenly a fully-grown tiger and isn't interested in "playing" anymore! 😢
Amazing how to you did the Sen boss run without the bonfire lol. The "Pumpkin" knight was supposed to be in there but he wasn't there for you, maybe he dissapears after you change the way the balls roll. Loved the 100 death moment lol, nice cake. Good job reaching Anor Londo! Also you might want to visit the big serpent at firelink shrine when you get back there,
Looking all the edits and logo etc, i thought you had like 1-1.5m subs man 'cause you definitely deserve that recognition. Your reactions to pretty much everything are so genuine and hilarious haha! You clearly love the souls and all the journey they offer. BUT you play too damn safe dude. And believe me, playing safe is not that rewarding in souls games, most of the time at least. Sometimes you've gotta hit that R1. You don't have to do all that rolling and dodging while the enemy literally looks at you staying still. HIT THAT R1 mate! Spam that shit, god! Anyway, love your content. Have fun! Cheers from Turkiye!
Aye I appreciate this dude! And you’re totally right 🤣🤣 I’m so scared while playing sometimes it stops me from trying things, I appreciate this advice dude 🙏 thanks again for the love 🤝
There is also an area you missed in darkroot garden with all the stone knights, there is a tower behind one of the knights at the back which leads to a pretty cool event. And it shouldn't take much time as you were supposed to go there earlier, but I think we might've gotten sidetracked with the secret tree path.😅
MORE 2 HOUR VIDEOS YES!!! Sen's is hell, hyped for this. And the fact you sung that song at the start. Amazing performance 😂. Btw this is Ethan, changed my name
A raw weapon is a faster upgrade path that is good in the short term but bad in the long term A +5 raw uchigatana (maxed) is equivalent to a +11 standard, although the max standard is +15 (but it requires the very large ember above +10 later in the game)
@@Wuggernaut You can talk to that deformed spider girl, but you don't speak her language, some old witch probably knew that language... but all that is left of that witch in this game is some seemingly useless ring... no reason to go look for it, you will make yourself sad only... Raw ascension increases raw damage and decreases attribute scaling. Good for early game, but horrible for later game in my opinion. Good thing is you can always revert it back.
I do love how Sen’s Fortress lets you know exactly what it’s about. The area is a complete asshole, but it’s honest about it. *step 2 feet inside, trigger trap* Also, love how you went for a quality build that thrives off scaling then removed the scaling from your weapon. I love it because I absolutely did that too my first time. It’s such a weird thing.
Great video as always!! Get ready for one of the best area and a boss fromsoft ever created! Idk if anyone said this, but you need to explore Firelink a little bit more…. do some parkouring 😂 There are some really interesting things to find out…… maybe find a bird and its nest 😉🤔 Also, yeah you totally missed a bonfire 😂😂😂
FUCK YES! I think Sen's Fortress is way crazier than blight town and the gift of Anor Londo at the end makes it quite the experience. I want to give you a tip on parrying too. Once you learn this, you'll have so much more fun dealing with tough enemies and mobs. Pay attention to the enemies arm and weapon. If you wait till the last moment and hit L2 as soon as the attack is about to hit you, you'll get it every time. It's a reflex thing and takes a bit to learn but is super easy once you have it down.
To add to this a bit, just hit the parry button as soon as you see their arm start to come forward. There's almost always a "wind-up" and then a point where it just starts coming forward. Hitting the parry button any time during that "forward" motion will work, but it's less risky to do it early. It's a super useful technique in Senn's where it's often impossible to get behind enemies.
Dude, you missed some stuff in Sen's Fortress, but so did everybody in the first playthrough lol it will be good to come back later. Not a spoiler, but a information you may find usefull: most DS players master the parry in Anor Londo Grest video!! Didn't expect you sing that well lol
1:03:46 raw weapons have more base damage than scaling. But it scales worse For example if your weapon has a A on dex it will go down to B but it will ibstead of having 100 base dmg it will have 120 damage. Raw weapons are not the best cause scaling ends giving you more damage. Only on some weapons it is recomended to use.
Nice job with the Funhouse. And yes, that one spot where you thought the boulders could stack up; on the money there, pardon the pun. Now onto the beauty of Anor Londo. I'll wish you luck here... You'll need it. Always love seeing you your uploads, Wuggs. Hope you're doing well, both in the game and out. Peace for now.
i have mad respect you manage to finish Sen's Fortress without using the bonfire in the fortress. and give you some advice you need to level up your character and level up your weapons and armor because you are in halfway point of the game and all the enemy is going to hit harder now. why good luck again
If it makes you feel better, making the uchigatana raw essentially turned on hard mode for you. Once you fix that mistake and put the uchigatana back to regular, you will find you deal considerably more damage. Completing sens fortress without weapon scaling (even with the increased base damage) is quite an accomplishment in and of itself. Its good training for when you reach the hard sections of the game.
@@Wuggernaut yeah. I don't know if someone else has told you, but i would suggest looking at the stat screens of the weapons and seeing if you can figure out about scaling. I will leave it at that, unless you want me to just briefly explain.
Aww you dissed my boy Frampt at Firelink Shrine 🤣. If you had talked to him you would have gotten some good lore for Sen's Fortress and Anor Londo, plus he's the only NPC in the game you can sell items to, which is good when you have duplicates (like a bunch of broken straight swords) and don't want to scroll past them all the time. He'll disappear if you finish Anor Londo without ever talking to him, so it might be worth getting the Sen's Fortress shortcut (and also the bonfire haha) and going back to chat with him before progressing too far. But if he disappears it isn't that bad, he's closely tied to one of the endings so if you let him vanish it'll just ensure you get a different ending than most new players who talk to him right away! Can't wait for Anor Londo though, one of the most memorable areas in the Souls trilogy and also one of the most frustrating lol
Being cautious to avoid spoilers here, but it would be interesting if he ended up skipping Frampt and did... the other thing... instead. I've never seen someone do that on a blind first playthrough.
@@thrashhhhh Agreed, I've watched many Dark Souls playthroughs over the years and have never seen someone skip Frampt before, so part of me is glad he didn't talk to him even though it strays from the "normal" first playthrough experience

The raw ascension you did increased the base damage, but removed scaling damage from your Uchigatana. If you want scaling dmg you need to reverse the ascension from raw to +6 and then continue upgrading to +7 through the reinforce weapon menu

Just a note on Rings of Sacrifice. They will also protect your bloodstain. So if you do die and your souls are left behind, you can equip it as added protection on your way back to collect them.
Oh dude I had no idea! Thank you 🙏
I had no idea either
Yup, I buy out those rings as an insurance policy. Just like that. Also, reminder to remove the raw path from your weapon, it's for people who don't put many points into strength and dexterity, like spell casters.
OMG, my song made it to the charts! 😀
Haha yessir!!!

Yee-haw! 🤠
@@Wuggernaut Such a heartfelt tribute!
It’s a bop!!
Thank you for this clarification dude 🙏🙏
Dark souls is a game that occupies your brain so much that you’ll end up thinking about it all day while at work 😂
100% true!
Brother, that 100 Deaths Celebration was PERFECT 😆 I was grinning ear-to-ear as soon as you the music started. Your sense of humor is excellent.
Hahah thank you dude😅 I’m glad you liked it I was excited for you guys to see that 😄

Doing Sen’s Fortress without the second bonfire or the shortcut back to the first one is crazy! Well done!
Didn’t even know it 😅🤦♂️
I really enjoy this long format of videos that you do and the style of your editing. This is one of the most entertaining Dark Souls playthroughs I’ve seen so far.

The black orb will vibrate and let you know ones you’re close to Lautrec.
Btw you don’t understand how happy i am to finaly see some one not kill Lautrec and actualy do his quest.
Ahhh, Ty sir! And hopefully it’ll be worth letting our maiden die 😩
@@Wuggernautthe reward for killing Lautrec gives you one of the best items in the game and aswell you can bring the keeper back to life.
Lautrec will drop her soul and it can be used to restore firelink!
I'd recommend descending your weapon back down to +5 from Raw to get the attribute scaling bonus damage on your sword back.
Yeah after some info from the viewers I definitely agree
@YHShin If you reverse your weapon reinforcement do you get your titanite back? I have a Str build, currently using a lightning zwei +4. I have 40 str and think I shoulda just went the +15 route
@steveparker9482 Nah unfortunately any materials spent are lost
The sub count is too low for the INCREDIBLE QUALITY of your videos. This is definitely one of my favorite ds1 series!
Miscellaneous spoiler-free aid:
- you are not likely to overlevel even if you try, so don't worry, keep upgrading when you get the chance.
- Remove the raw upgrade on your uchigatana, as it will probably only reduce the damage you deal at this point. Keep leveling it instead.
- that snake dude in firelink is not an enemy, and, if you find him sleeping, you can hit him up to once to wake him up without aggroing.
oh he did forgot to try talking to him LOL
I appreciate this, I was so disgusted/scared I completely avoided the dialogue 🤣
Frampt doesn't aggro even if you hit him a 100 times, he just gets offended and screws off lol
Thank you for this comment dude, cause now I REALLY wanna try to take my time and explore everything… although that never seems to work out for me 😅
@@Wuggernaut You're doing well by reading all the item descriptions. There is an item that you can find in Anor Londo with a clue to the big secret.
what a fire intro hahaha - just casually strolling in with a voice smooth as butter, go off
Hahah I had to do it, the lyrics were too good 🤘
22:45 no, the ghost are one of the consequenses for flooding new londo, the dark wraiths are much more dangerous...
Ty for clarifying :D! And oh boy…

Damn that woulda been so cool! And ty for the heads up on what I missed :)
When a youtube channel have become my favorite TV Show it feels like an eternity between episodes, love your channel.
I didn't understand the upgrading at the start either, it can be quite confusing xD

1:01:40 You gotta love dark souls don't you? Everyone who gets to this point was warned by a friend to be aware of chests, only 1 out of 10 actually realise the trap 😂😂😂
1:04:30 I still can't believe we got to sens and I'm still genuinely cheering.for you so well you're playing
1:10:10 Hell..
100% agreed!
If you'd like any general advice, I've listed a couple things below :)
1) you were on the right idea on the giant cannonballs unlocking the hidden path (over near the mimc). You should also explore other directions the ball can go for other paths as well, as there **might** be an npc in Sens that you're familiar with already. The gorgeous view note wasn't wrong :)
2) stopping and looking is super important, especially in the next area.
I really appreciate all these tips, I’ll apply them 🤩🙏
Ahhhh. I totally forgot he never ended up going back to... that area.
Found your channel last week and really enjoyed catching up on all these videos! Keep it up man. Can't wait for your reactions for everything great to come. The effort you put into editing etc. is really noticeable.

This is the episode I was most looking forward to, for obvious reasons. You're gonna love Anor Londo, can't wait for next week.
That was quite the runback, through all of Sen's Fortress! Great job!
A week of waiting for the next episode feels like a year.. You just want to know what happens next, like in a really good movie 😄
Aye I’m glad it feels like that 🤩
So much of this episode was me screaming.

Hahha thank you dude, enjoy!!
By the things you did on the beggining of this episode I can easily see how some people where angry that you killed Eingyi and polietly asked you to consume the dung on yourself.
I guess you can decypher the message lol
Can't wait to jump into this! Thanks Wuggs!
No worries, thank you!
Thank you for this advice dude 🙏 ever video I’ll keep trying to slow down more and more 😅 and yup Canadian! 🇨🇦

The bon fire for the Sen’s Fortress area is pretty devious. It’s incredibly well hidden and a huge source of pain for newcomers however with a little inquisitiveness you should be able to find it. Regardless, thanks for the great video and love to see you not giving up easily.
Really glad you liked it! And yeah at a certain point, I just figured there wasn’t a bonfire lol. Figures 😅
1:19:07 shotel are actually east african specialty in real life.
You may want to upgrade a weapon to level 10,to use a boss soul and turn into a boss weapon, each category got its own.
For Quelaag is curved swords, for golem is axe and fist.
Nice! Ty for this 🤝
Boss weapons are a thing in the game.
Hahaa yes I had to upgrade after Quelaag 😅
@@WuggernautGlad you enjoyed the better damage, check the edits on my original comment.
@2:07 Offering 30 humanity to the Chaos Servant covenant will raise you to rank two. You will get two rewards, but only one of them will be obvious.
👀👀 thanks for that spoiler free info dude I appreciate that 😄
@@Wuggernaut Very important caveat: DO NOT join another covenant after you donate humanity to this one, otherwise it will remove any humanity you donated by half (e.g. 30 will only count for 15)
If you need to get more Humanity, they can drop from rats. The implications of that is...disturbing to say the least
@Tony_409 I never thought of that… 👀
@@svedkanine5353 You get penalized for leaving a covenant in terms of progress, but if you save up 30 humanity and offer them to the Chaos Servant covenant all at once, it will take you from the bottom rank up to rank 2. Once you get covenant rewards, you keep them even if you leave the covenant or lose rank. Although you have to be in the covenant to use some rewards, your rank doesn't matter.
Watching people go through Sen's Fortress is such a treat. hehe
LOL you have quite the taste ;)

Thanks for letting me know :) you mean these two hours or even closer to 3??
@@Wuggernaut 3 hours is perfecto
BTW: I know where you can get large titanites for free, if you're willing to put in the work. ;)
Ahhh ty dude, and I probably won’t do any crazy traversing until we get “fast travel” so maybe keep that tip on lock 🤣
This type of traveling will become very handy later because when you unlock fast travel, you’ll notice that not all of the bonfires can be warped to.
in that case you infuse with fire
raw is useless to me
Watching this series makes me want to get back into playing the souls games
Love the videos man keep it up 😀

Well worth the wait, what an episode! The intro song, your reaction to the Firekeeper missing, the bonfire being out, and seeing Frampt (big slug head) for the first time were epic. And the Mimic!! 🤣
People already gave you great advice on the proper weapon upgrade path.
"Don't jinx yourself-"
YOU DIED
Dude I’m so happy you liked it 🤩 and Ty for these tips 🙏🙏 also.. I gotta stop saying things like this in near death situations 🤣
If you explore some doorways in the area before blightown there’s a place where at least 6 drop from the ceiling, there also may be some bright treasure in that same general area
Tip 3 - It doesn’t hurt to grind souls if you feel underleveled. However if you go back to an easier area the soul output won’t be as good as when you were first there
I appreciate this info 🙏🙏
Light tip, when you encounter a mimic, throw a Loyd’s talisman at it, see what happens :) hugs from Brazil!
Oooh thanks for this, I’m interested now 👀
Yeah, someone must've had a brainwave or a good trip, because I beat this game 10 times, read item descriptions almost every time, and I only knew about this by looking it up.
All I’ll say is… I tried my best 😅👀
@@Wuggernaut That's good. You can return to an early area and get some new loot, Including a ring that removes movement penalty of deep water and the swamp. So it'd be a huge help for getting remaining loot in Sean's fortress and Blighttown. But I reckon it's probably a good idea complete Anor Londo first regardless.
The cake was awesome. Love it.
👀👀👀
Great episode as always! Keep up the good work!

Hint: there’s a secret area that you can find in Blighttown. Try walking to the left of the bonfire instead of the right which leads to Quelaag’s Domain ;)

1:04:15 lol that backstab onto the vase
I started the video, saw the death counter and thought "oh, maybe he'll hit 100 this episode", then i rememberes it was Sen's and i knew it would be more than 100 lol.

The black eye orb will tell you when you can use it.
I can appreciate your comment section with the positivity about the choices on ascension. Try to avoid the raw modification, it hinders a weapons full potential, upgrading to +15 youll see a significant difference. Other than that you're very adaptive than most players first time! Keep it up Wuggernaut!
Thank you I will!

That terrible moment when you realise that, so far, Dark Souls has just been a cute kitten playing with a fluffy toy.
Then you get to Sen's Fortress..... The kitten is suddenly a fully-grown tiger and isn't interested in "playing" anymore! 😢
100% describes my experience🫠
Then you arrive at Ano Londo and you realise that Sen's fortress was a kitten as well...
Also you might want to visit the big serpent at firelink shrine when you get back there,
Thank you dude 😄 and if I haaaave to 😖🤣
Looking all the edits and logo etc, i thought you had like 1-1.5m subs man 'cause you definitely deserve that recognition.
LOL true, I think what I’m gonna do is once we get “fast travel” I have a segment once a video where I go back and check out something I missed :)
The dedication to the death count celebration, what an honor it must be.

A raw weapon is a faster upgrade path that is good in the short term but bad in the long term
A +5 raw uchigatana (maxed) is equivalent to a +11 standard, although the max standard is +15 (but it requires the very large ember above +10 later in the game)

Raw ascension increases raw damage and decreases attribute scaling. Good for early game, but horrible for later game in my opinion. Good thing is you can always revert it back.
Pre-watch comment: yes was wondering when this would drop!! (Also: stellar singing voice bro lol 😂)
LOLL TY dude 😅😂

Also, love how you went for a quality build that thrives off scaling then removed the scaling from your weapon. I love it because I absolutely did that too my first time. It’s such a weird thing.
🤝 I love it when I hear of people doing similar stuff as me in this game 😅
Quelaag (Kway-Lag) 😂🖤 Plus if you have any new viewers tuning in for the first time on this video... that original song intro will hook'em!
Looool, hopefully they’re country fans 🤣
@@Wuggernaut im not a fan of it but it made me laugh. stay true!
Great video as always!!
Get ready for one of the best area and a boss fromsoft ever created!
Idk if anyone said this, but you need to explore Firelink a little bit more…. do some parkouring 😂
There are some really interesting things to find out…… maybe find a bird and its nest 😉🤔
Also, yeah you totally missed a bonfire 😂😂😂
I think next episode I’ll definitely be heading back at some point, if not the one after :)
Loved watching the video. I hope you go back and explore. You missed so much.
👀👀👀 also ty dude 🙏
Ahhh okay Ty! I’m so bad at it right now so thank you for tthis
Parry timing changes depending on what you're using to parry. If you're finding them awkward with one tool then trying another may help.
Dude, you missed some stuff in Sen's Fortress, but so did everybody in the first playthrough lol
it will be good to come back later.
Not a spoiler, but a information you may find usefull: most DS players master the parry in Anor Londo
Grest video!! Didn't expect you sing that well lol
👀👀👀 iiiinteresting, and LOL Ty 😅
woo Sen's Funhouse. also beautiful singing. love the content keep up the good work my good sir.
I will!! And ty dude 🤣😅
I hadyhe same reaction on a first firekeeper's death. Or even worse. A was sad.
Understandable😔
1:03:46 raw weapons have more base damage than scaling. But it scales worse
For example if your weapon has a A on dex it will go down to B but it will ibstead of having 100 base dmg it will have 120 damage. Raw weapons are not the best cause scaling ends giving you more damage. Only on some weapons it is recomended to use.
Gotcha, i think I’ll be reversing this soon 👀
Nice job with the Funhouse. And yes, that one spot where you thought the boulders could stack up; on the money there, pardon the pun. Now onto the beauty of Anor Londo. I'll wish you luck here...
You'll need it.
Always love seeing you your uploads, Wuggs. Hope you're doing well, both in the game and out. Peace for now.
Hey Chimera! I’m glad you liked it dude! And I’m doing good in both bro ty for asking 🙏 have a good one :)
Nice job Wuggs! Welcome to the mid-game.
That’s so wild!
Great fight with the Iron Golem.
Thank you dude!
You never forget your first Mimic chest.
100% I will die with that thing taunting me
i have mad respect you manage to finish Sen's Fortress without using the bonfire in the fortress. and give you some advice you need to level up your character and level up your weapons and armor because you are in halfway point of the game and all the enemy is going to hit harder now. why good luck again
I appreciate this advice, I’m definitely gonna take it 🙏
If it makes you feel better, making the uchigatana raw essentially turned on hard mode for you. Once you fix that mistake and put the uchigatana back to regular, you will find you deal considerably more damage. Completing sens fortress without weapon scaling (even with the increased base damage) is quite an accomplishment in and of itself. Its good training for when you reach the hard sections of the game.
Appreciate this… wait what do you mean when!?!
Sin’s funhouse is one of my favorites 😂
Such a delight 🤣
It actually hurt me when you changed it to a Raw uchi!!!! hahahaha and you leveled it up
Changes need to be made 😅😖
@@Wuggernaut yeah.
Thank you, this was hilarious and entertaining 👏👏👏
Thank you so much 🙏🙏 I’m really glad you liked it!
The first time through the Sen's Funhouse is special
True!
