    We the black middle class voted DA for jobs to be created by white people. For 30 years, with our education and majority we failed to create jobs for our people. We're clapping for DA 'cause we'll be flocking white established businesses and institutions with our CVs looking for class and fake status. The poor are not as euphoric, they are working the land and keeping livestock in the their villages to feed themselves. At least they understand the significance of ownership even at a smaller scale. Spaza shops make billions which leaves SA but we don't see that as an economy. We have abondoned mines, farms, factories and buildings but we're making nothing out of it. Our excitement about DA is a reflection of our failure as the people, not unity. Count me out!

      You are correct in that we as Black South Africans have lost confidence in ourselves such that we believe in other races to help us out of the mess created by the ANC through greed, cadre deployment that has ruined our country. Having achieved nothing for 30 years but gone backward as result of corruption and patronage. It's about time that all the intellectuals of this country stand up and save our country from the myopic view of the anc. How can the anc claim to be leaders of society when millions of South Africans are living below poverty line? What were they doing in the past 30 years? Were they not seeing unemployment rising? All what has been happening is shameful to those who claim to be leaders in this country.

    • @paulisidore6639
      @paulisidore6639 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You cannot be counted out instead all the educated South Africans must stand up and do something because politicians have lost direction through greed , corruption. This gnu is bound to collapse very soon because of the arrogance of the anc. These other political parties will soon realize their mistakes instead of joining their votes and remove those who failed to govern for the good their people.

    What gives me comfort are the intimations of the ANC secretary general. That they will not loose their identity. The geopolitical global power dynamics are changing in favour of the South vis a vis the north. Unfortunately regardless of calls for realignment to effect change, the architecture of global economic and political interactions is undergoing an immense metamorphosis. The ANC needs to look at this solidly

    Landsberg is so anti West. He likes to live in the past and seems to struggle to accept the outcome of the elections. DA is the most diverse party in SA. Incorrect of Landsberg to say ANC and DA don't also represent the poor.

    Prof Mangcu is spot on with all he said.

      A single common ideology under anc failed South Africans for 30 years. The 2 contrasting ideologies anchored on sharing a single most fundamental mandade, e.i, taking the country forward will work. DA and ANC is a better option for SA not for a certain groupings. Those differences on pragmatic national and international agenda will yield unexpectedly positive results, again this transitional process should not end in this term, till we have GNU that is none partison

    Chris seems to ignore the multitude of Black voters who did vote for the DA. Characterising the political parties in the starkly divided terms from 30 years ago also ignores the shifts over 3 decades. The ANC clearly doesn't represent the working class... Evidenced in its decidedly anti-workerist policies as government

      Well they are. I'm not a supporter of the ANC nor of the DA but together I believe South Africa can be saved.
      Majority of times Black Africa leaders forget their people and on the other hand the White people know we need to serve the people.

    • @paulisidore6639
      @paulisidore6639 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The problem is that the multi party charter failed to stick to its agreement instead they feared the dominant voices of the EFF and MKP. These two parties are not in a position to dominate anyone currently. The project was to depose the anc but the project failed because of ideological differences. Pride of political leaders is the hindrance to their goals. Right now this gnu is nonsensical because the very same things that they don't like has happened so blacks who are unemployed are still going to suffer because of this arrangement that is directionless. It looks like the whole thing is about positions and nothing else.

    • @paulisidore6639
      @paulisidore6639 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      To deal with this huge unemployment is going to take more than five years. So where will the current crop of graduates going to find employment as things stand? Why are we relying on foreign investment largely instead of showing those foreign investors that we believe in ourselves as South Africans and start by grooming our own entrepreneurs through state funding? It's clear that Western opulence has destroyed our visions and goals and we are now too individualistic we care less about the next person

    • @unathimichaelmxaku8105
      @unathimichaelmxaku8105 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@paulisidore6639 That was the biggest mistake of the ANC relying on 8% for employment instead of promoting small and medium enterprises.This is a very difficult task the whole of Africa is here with cheap labour no union no fuss and less stress for employers.

    • @paulisidore6639
      @paulisidore6639 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      During the Chinese revolution, Chinese leaders realised their mistakes and changed their approach quickly and look where they are now. So in our case we are so fearful to start anything on our own. Where are we going right now? Indirectly the anc wants to share the blame of failure with those who agreed to this arrangement. I thought the DA is smart but they have proved me wrong. The failures of this gnu are going to haunt them all as they agreed to collaborate with the failures of the anc. One example is the unfinished business of the Zondo Commission, phalaphala and other corruption that is going to be unearthed very soon. Or these parties want to deal with the ANC from within and push them out of power from the inside.
