Peter, as always great content and so happy to see your willingness to assist your neighbours on Christmas Day none the less. Happy New Year too you and the family.
Man still can’t believe how much snow you guys got in NY, that’s crazy. Feel bad for everyone with a smaller blower. Been hearing reports of bulldozer operators finding bodies buried in the snow very sad. Prayers are with everyone there
Love it. I'm sitting here in Chicago hoping for any amount of snow just so I can use my tractor. They predicted 8-12" with this same storm system, and by the time it hit us we ended up with 1-2" that mostly blew away. Barely had to even shovel.
You have it dialed in! I suspect the key to reducing the chute clogging is controlling the forward momentum and not using it as a snow plow. The passes you made around the 20:00 mark illustrate how much snow it's capable of moving - impressive!!
Happy New Year, Pete! That T66 seems to get break in and baptism by fire by all the weather coming your way. I am in a snow curse again, steady 32 - 42F for last 7 days and melting. I'm sorry people are giving you a hard time with this skidsteer. We've all been new at something at sometime in our lives. People should be more considerate. I still think it is a beast of a machine and a good choice for your perimeter of intended purpose. I put out the 1st snowblowing video of 22/23 season a week ago using my drone in daylight, it actually snowed on a weekend I was home in the daytime for once 😁. -Ronny
Ronny I'll watch your video, I don't know why it is not on my home page. Wow viewers can aggressive can't they...so much anger. You have my back thank you. I don't know why people are so aggressive. I hope you get more snow if that's what you want...I didn't see this coming when I purchase the Bobcat...makes me feel more sure. Thank you
It looks like you are bringing you blower out of a warm garage. Put it outside for an hour before you use it and let the metal cool down. The snow won't stick to it so easy. Also when you are going through deep snow like the end of you driveway lift the blower up as high as it will go and ease the unit into the bank taking a half of the blade width. After 5 or six feet back up and clear the rest, and don't blow the show up so high if its windy. Good machine and will get you through anything after this. A Canadian Friend from Ontario.
Brian agreed after the Christmas eve video I have been doing everything that you have suggestion and it help in this video. The silicon wore off the chute prior, and I did not let the blower acclimate to the temps on the Christmas eve video. Thank you for your suggestions we love Canada
No. Colorado here. We got hit with a surprise 6.5 inches with this storm and I thought I was buried. I can't imagine 60 inches. We did get a 30 inch dump in March a couple of years ago, and that was a huge mess. Nice video!

Lounar I could really blow the minds of my viewers but I'll get to that later in this replay. I've stated I prefer a snowblower over a plow as it does a much neater job of placing the snow verses piling the snow. It is far better than a plow detailing around my wing wall, garage doors, stoop, vehicles and my front sidewalk. I could not plow my front walk. Also I cut the street snow bank along the curb between my neighbors mails boxes...a plow could not do that at all, my neighbors with plows have to shovel out their mailboxes. With a plow your driveway gets smaller and smaller during the winter as the plow piles snow, the piles turn to ice and more snow gets pushed against the ice encroaching the area of your driveway. I blow snow 5 to 35 feet away from the edge of my driveway. Long driveways and parking lots plows or snow box pushers are preferred but for my little driveway with obstacles I like a blower and have used one for over 20 years. I have plows and my JD5090M tractor for my office and commercial properties. Some my find this hard to understand...I choose to be as self sufficient as possible. I could have my brother plow my driveway for nothing...zero cost....but I won't I prefer to do myself. I also don't want the plow damaging my driveway and I want to take care of my own property. Your question is excellent I should do a video on this topic...and I will. Please post another comment if you have additional questions. Thank you for supporting my channel...I need to explain this more often. Be safe.
I do my 300 foot driveway with a 26 year old John Deere snowblower(made by Ariens). We get some serious snow in Massachusetts. That is quite the machine.....
If you look at the blower fan on your snowblower you will see excessive space between the vanes of the blower fan and the housing. This is why your blower plugs. I added (I discovered on TH-cam) rubber extensions on the vanes. No more plugging even in wet snow.

You will get less clogging if you don't take a full-width pass, try cutting a strip about 2/3 of the blower in width. I think you pushing too much snow into the chute and it's being overwhelmed with too much snow. You can also spray Pam Cooking Spray inside the chute to keep the snow from sticking, spray it in the morning and let it dry before using it.

@tom If you want to see great blowers, look at the European designs. American snowblowers all seem to have a designs similar to this, which means, it's likely OSHA or some U.S. gov't agency sticking their fingers in there somewhere. Also, Tom, a skidsteer is a great multi-use machine, but it has limits. In this case, if his blower was much bigger, he'd have a hard time seeing where he is going. As it is, you can see the holes in the bucket which, I presume, are there so he can see if he is too close to something.
Don't know if you've ever watched the old comedy movie moving with Richard Pryor and randy quade, but what was done with lawnmowers I'd do to a snowblower. Would make great content and surely rip through that snow like nothing.

Not quite sure why you parked the snowblower in the garage with the blower facing inwards. better would be to park it in a way that you can start blowing snow the moment you open the gate. that way you can not get snowed in in a way where you can not get it out to start clearing ghe snow.
I parked this way so I could melt the ice on the snow blower with hot water, it flows better to the garage floor drains. After the ice was melted the blower was parked facing out the garage door. Thank you for commenting awesome that you are watching my videos. Welcome to the channel be safe.

@@maraudermitchelli You are welcome. I watched the video where you parked it for the cleanup only after wathing this video, now it makes a lot more sense. Thanks for posting, It is always a lot of work to tape and cut videos, so commenting on them is the least I can do to help with the algorithm, at least when I think I can contribute a hint. I live in Austria, so loads of snow are no stranger to me, building standards and available tols are quite different because a lot of the stuff you have is cost prohibitive over here. usually people either shovel or have smaller snowblowers that you steer around by hand, similar to the smaller units available in the US. City roads are normally cleared within reasonable time, but the driveway is a different beast. Furthermore we have a law that you have to clear the sidewalk within three meters from the border if you border a public street during the timeframe of 0600 and 2200 and also need to make sure it nis not slippery either. Most people hire companies to handle that because you are otherwise liable for damages and can get fined.
I had a little cub cadet walk behind it would plug badly in slushy snow. I made my own little modification super easy. I saw from watching some TH-cam video. I’m not selling anything just some gray haired guy that watched some guys videos (you) and Long story short. My neighbors followed suit when they were high powered machines were plugging and mine didn’t plug once. Anyway let me know if you want me to try to find the dudes video or I can just explain it here I you want me to.
Also you should faced to shoot not up in the air you should make it level sure he does not across the top of the snow instead of making a shoot raised up all the way he’s shooting at far away it’s better to shoot the snow like horizontal
Roger I'm near Buffalo New York. This was a blizzard and although we do get lake effect storms I can't remember if this fit into that type. Probably the worst sustained blizzard of my life.
Heard you say you needed to learn the shoot, it takes time to learn controls, when your blowing against the wind try to keep the shoot low,it will not throw it as far and may need a few extra passes the remove but at the same time the wind will not catch it and blow it back. You will get it you seem like you have some brain power and understand. About the silicone/ Pam it does work but will wear off over time. Fluid film works great if you have the money to buy it, I don’t that why I use a cooking spray like Pam I like the butter Pam smells good lol.
the guy in this video suggests using a car detailing ceramic coating on your snowblower to give it a better longer lasting nonstick surface th-cam.com/video/ydLWkh43LOw/w-d-xo.html

@ thank you
I had a little cub cadet walk behind it would plug badly in slushy snow.
Thank you...gray haired guys are great we need to stick together.

Also you should faced to shoot not up in the air you should make it level sure he does not across the top of the snow instead of making a shoot raised up all the way he’s shooting at far away it’s better to shoot the snow like horizontal
I will discuss this in a debriefing video
How do you get the fuel for that machine do you have in your garage
yes
Where are you located, what city? Lake effect snow ?
Roger I'm near Buffalo New York. This was a blizzard and although we do get lake effect storms I can't remember if this fit into that type. Probably the worst sustained blizzard of my life.
why not back into your garage so you can blow snow as you exit?
I do, I pulled it in to wash the ice off the blower with hot water. Be safe
Thank you Mike for the help
Stop putting it in your heated garage and it will not stick and more got to keep it the same temp!!
Agreed Kevin thank you
Oh and do you have snow tracks on that thing
No but they are wider, and multi bar was recommend for snow
Do you have heat inside the Bobcat?
Heat AC the works Curtis....I can't play the stereo when i film but I'll live. Be safe
Are you happy with the 74 hp or would you go bigger hp
The demoed larger machine was not as nimble and very heavy. It barely fit on my 14k trailer. I like this machine.
Are you engaging high flow?
yes sir
How about a video from inside the Bobcat so we can see what you see? Next time!
Coming this week when I helped my neighbors
How wide is the snow blower?
I think 74"...at least 72"...I hope that helps.
@@maraudermitchelli Yes it does and thank you! Are you still pretty happy with that track loader and snow blower so far?
the guy in this video suggests using a car detailing ceramic coating on your snowblower to give it a better longer lasting nonstick surface th-cam.com/video/ydLWkh43LOw/w-d-xo.html
Thank you
Know way your old tractor work better then this skid steer... this machine is build to do heavy load work like this . And tractors more build do farming stuff . Not saying your old JD wasn't a good machine, I just think this skid steer is moving snow better , we never see his old JD tractor snowblow feet of snow
David I couldn't agree with you more thank you
first...'
So, you do still have the Bobcat skid steer. Which do you like better Peter; the Bobcat or the JD 5090 M for snow removal?
Brendan two totally different machines for different jobs. I like them both, but for loader work the Bobcat rules.
