I went to this concert alone. It was my birthday. March 20th. Ive seen him before but I thought of going on the 20th coz I mean how often does your fav musician come to your city on your bday? I was having dinner with friends and then I said goodbye to them and went to see John Mayer alone. Best decision seeing him alone becuase it was more intimate and I was able to really immerse myself in his music. I was also 15ft away from him (3rd row from the stage) I couldn’t believe I was able to see him that close!! It made it that much more special to me. Best 31st birthday ever.
I've always wanted to go to one of his shows alone and just fully splurge on a close seat. That was a really good idea that you fully immersed yourself into the music and the man!
@@anjobebe I highly recommend going to a concert alone, especially a John Mayer concert! I sat 15 ft away from him so being that close to him and seeing him sing and play that close was sooooo intimate and special to me! I had one of the best nights ever!!
Because he wrote them all on acoustic. He talks about it in interviews. Full band brings amazing colors, but this is the songs true “born and made” form. Special.
I think it's because he has so much joy playing and connecting with the audience. I am sure he loves his band, but he can improvise all he wants without worrying about the band following (although, I am sure they can adjust. Especially since they've been with him so long).
I flew over from Dublin for the concert as well. I agree it was worth it and I'd do it again in a heartbeat. Awesome show. Fingers crossed he announces a Dublin date in the future🙌🏻
I’ll never get tired of Walt Grace’s Submarine Test. It’s got a mystical feel to it and it’s probably the most underrated song in John’s catalogue. Thank you for recording the show, the setlist is near perfect and John sounded amazing! 🙌

I have bad anxiety as well. Have managed to go to three concerts so far in the past couple months. You can do it. Wont be perfect, just have to go for it. Go with someone you trust. That really helps.

John sings each song fresh & full of emotion, unlike some concerts where performers rush their songs to get through them. He is a musical performer for the ages, in his own CLASS.
LOL , some of my first videos were a mix of vertical and landscape and someone simply commented :( on the vertical one, that was all it took. And it simply fills the screen better.
I think the same, I can last for hours listening to that new version of Edge Desire, I think you should record it in the studio cleanly, it's extremely beautiful
