    Great informative video Peter I love my graded coins which make up at least 80% of my coin collection. I have never sent coins off directly myself like you did so that was new to me. I would just like to add some additional information for those who haven't sent off coins for grading that you didn't touch on in your video that makes the process easier & cheaper is that when there is a coin expo on & Imperial Coins have a stall present at that expo take your coins to that expo & they (Michael) will do the whole process for you & it not only saves you money on postage to them it also gives you the security of knowing your coins will arrive safely. I live in Adelaide & go to the expo every 2 years just to send off coins for grading. I will add that it does pay to save up not only the coins you want graded for saving but also the money to pay for them as sending off coins in bulk for grading saves you a lot of money too which I do & sending off multiple of the same coin/s allows you once they come back to keep the best grades & sell off the excess to recoup the money spent on grading. Hope this helps you Peter & your subscribers 👍🏻

    I have a beautiful NGC MS70 Silver Bird of Paradise & tbh I prefer their slabs over PCGS, I also hear ANACS is better for recognizing & grading errors & varieties?
    Love to see or hear your thoughts, thanks for this video, good reference material🍻

  • @barbielawrie75
    @barbielawrie75 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hi PJ, I bought 1 of the Queen Victoria/ Queen Elizabeth PNCs from Imperial Coins on eBay, messaged them and said don't bother sending it to me, just charge me to submit it for grading. Just for the same reason as you, so I would be familiar with the process. One day if I am ever rich enough, I'll send my whole collection in to be graded and slabbed, not so much for the grading but to preserve the coins, some of mine are from the 1700s. On a side note, I managed to snaffle 1 of the peacekeeper c mint mark coins this morn from the mint, and I picked up 1 of the dinosaur sets with the privy marks from Australia post today. Happy girl!!!

    • @PJsCoinCapers

      Good questions, I folded them over stacked a few on top of each other and used rubber bands across the middles from both sides. I used ebay sold figures to determine current values.

      Without being specific to any coin. I buy because I like a particular coin design or the commemorative appeal. I like low mintage coins and certain error coins. The higher the grade the better. I also buy for investment purposes.

    Hi Peter..
    I have 2013 Queens Coronation coins.
    Now all coins that are straight from Armagaurd in rolls or Satchels have some sort of markings due to them coming out from a 44 gallon drum’s and being tipped in the coin machine for rolls or bags..
    Are they ok for grading or do the have to come in those sealed cardboards to be for grading.?
    Cheers Famo59

    • @PJsCoinCapers

      Best to compare with other grades coins on eBay forsale or sold and check against yours to see where they might grade.
