The V12 is dying. We've kept it alive with forced induction and hybridization, but even these measures won't save the thirstiest of internal combustion engines from its doom. On its way out, however, the twelve-cylinder is performing at its best. Only hydrogen and electric powertrains are smoother, and only ultra boosted motors are more potent. For these reasons, the V12 has been a natural fit for full-size luxury sedans like the BMW 7 Series and Mercedes-Benz S-Class.
The BMW M760i is among the most subtle $160K vehicles on sale. Loaded with premium materials and boasting over 600 horsepower, the flagship Bimmer is no flashier than a standard 7 Series. Sure, it appears out of reach for the average Joe (like any car in this segment), but just how out of reach is a mystery. For the overworked or over-socialized owner, these covert attributes are immensely appealing - as either a driver or a chauffeured passenger.
But when you're spending close to $200,000 with options, even a silky, robust V12 must be complemented by exclusive amenities. When V8-powered contenders like the Mercedes-AMG S63 and Audi S8 tout comfort, tech, and style at a more reasonable starting figure, the M760i is in for a fight. In this in-depth review, Miles explores the BMW M760i's performance, features, and design to decide which luxury sedan is best.
Options Equipped:
- Aventurin Red Metallic ($1,950)
- Smoke White/Black Merino Leather Interior ($4,000)
- Drivers Assistance Pro Package ($1,700)
- Luxury Rear Seating Package ($1,800): heated steering wheel, heated front/rear seats + arm rests
- Rear Executive Lounge Seating ($5,750): rear ventilated seats, rear massaging seats, reclining rear seat and footrest, executive lounge rear console, rear seat entertainment
- Individual Piano Black trim ($1,080)
- Panoramic Sky Lounge LED Roof ($900)
- LED Adaptive Headlights with LaserLight ($1,000)
- Bowers & Wilkins Diamond Sound System ($3,400): 20 speakers, 1,475 watts

This car presents luxury
I love how much flatter they made the front, makes it more stately
the color is just lovely
Not gonna lie, that's EXACTLY how I'd spec mine out. Perfect
Then you’ve got good taste.. as a bmw salesman who builds cars out all day 😎👌
Dried prune??? The color is amazing and would be my choice. Black is just boring. This dark cherry red is so sophisticated and matches beautifuly with white interior.
Agreed that color is stunning
Agreed, one of the rare times I disagree with Miles
You’re boring!!😂😂
Thank you for this comprehensive and very thorough video review of this awesome vehicle. The comparison to its competitors is VERY helpful as well. Well Done MPH!
You’re so welcome! Thanks for watching! 👍😁
I decided on an E63 and I’m super happy
Love the review, did not seem biased at all. Your opinions were backed with solid facts and you explained all 3 German luxury sedans very well.
Thank you for the kind words! I appreciate your support!
I love BMW'S they are the ultimate driving machines. I test drove an X5 and X3 and they were really smooth. I stepped on the gas pedal and those SUVs were already at 40mph. Just imagine how fast the V12 BMW'S are.
40 mph? Wow, that is Nurburgringspeed
I love this red color so much
Thanks it's been so informative
Perfect color.!
BMW 760li is best and my dream car also 🤗❤️❤️❤️❤️
I would get the Alpina version over this.
Yea im with you with the alpina package for sure but I would take this 6.6 engine over the alpina 4.4 but that's just me
I love the color!
Some dark tint and a good polishing should make that paint pop.
Great video milesperhr
Thank you!
The oldschool 90's Calypso Red from BMW was a good color choice for "the last of the V12"
Love your video
Thanks so much! I appreciate your support 👍😁
Awesome review ever milesperhr, this 2021 BMW M750i is a beast monster performance excecitive luxury sedan, with a borling V12 under the hood, take care and Keep up the great reviews and God bless u friend. ❤👍😁💯
Thanks so much! 👍😁 I appreciate your support!
@@MilesPerHr u r welcome!!!😁😁❤❤
Looks better than the s class
47:07 I like how you bent that corner 😂😂😂 you that driver I see it !
Luv it!
Im driving a 745Li and one day on of these pipings dissolved but just a little little little bit. I went to BMW and they replaced the whole seat cover. Insane
The piano black option is made from tulipwood, which is the same wood as Rolls Royce uses and they finish the wood the exact same way. I love it, however I would never order it for my vehicle.
I love the 🚗 and ♥️ is my favorite ❤️ and I'm looking to buy 1. I will change the rims and the brake calipers to match the 760.Yeasss.
V12 🔥💣
Thanks for the review, just one correction all the engines in RR are supplied by BMW, its not the other way round as detailed by you in the review
I would go with the Alpina B7.
Awesome Looking 2020 BMW 7 Series Sedan As Always Bro, Also I Totally Love The Design And The Dark Red Cherry Color Bro.
Brilliant!
I like the color but I also like Prunes, so I get it.
I love the color personally, just needs slightly tinted windows
And brown interior, NOT WHITE MY GOD.
Great Color.
I'd love a M760LI as my next car
The best option is self park the purchase for 12 months and get the massive factory option of depreciation and save 100k. ANDROID auto? Nice video very complete. Yes the S63 is way ahead...
I like that color old prune 👍
it is very sad that BMW is not crazy anymore they should have implemented this V12 in a sport car like some kind of i8. That would have been a reminiscent of the BMW powered F1 Mc Laren.
How long before it brakes down?
Did they ever upgraded the the lower bearings problems wearing out prematurely at around 40,000 to 60,000 miles and it's a very expensive repair.
Where's the "cold box" between the rear seats? ❄️🍾🥶
Wow 2000 colors
Would like it in a darker Blue
I like black with white interior
BEAUTIFUL COLOR JUST LIKE MINE...
Once you've seen a 7-Series in the Alpina-spec, Tanzanite Blue - nothing else will do!
Yea, I think I would prefer the Alpina to the M treatment on this class of car.
@@MilesPerHr Can you do an in-depth review on a rolls Royce phantom
Until A S-Class AMG Pull Up
@@tristandavis8364 New S Class looks like a Lexus smh interior is nice but exterior not so much
Can't wait for my favorite car review channel to review the 2021 S680 v12
First will be the S 580 and then, I hope the S 680! Thank you for the support!
I like the color
What happened to that V12 badge on the C-pillar?
I think they phased it out last model year
@@MilesPerHr No, the V12 badge is still there on the 2022 M760i on the official BMW USA site.
i like the color
Terribly expensive new, but in a few years it'll be available for a fraction of the new price. Nobody will want one, repairs will require a second mortgage.
Navy blue with tacora red seats
Can you drive Alpina B8?

How good can a review be if you know very little about the vehicle? Its a good idea to actually study up on a vehicle "before" you do it on camera. Foot rest, etc... A car this complex isnt one to "wing-it" with.
I would get it in white or black.
If I had millions this would definitely be a daily ina midnight blue or black with red interior
IKR
I like the red
How is this compared with the B7 Alpina?
I haven’t driven that one yet, so I can’t really compare it.
Adorei quero esse
The S63 is the better all around car but these do have a V12 which is cool points for sure.
2021 S680 v12 or 2020 s65 amg
@@the_larsonfamily7640 2020 is by far a more luxurious feeling and looking car
Its wonderful that the s63 is an amg and more about sporty but it's still more luxurious than BMW's special car for luxury.
Also the mercedes S500 is way more better than this bmw.
No it's not. It's purely subjective my man
I would still choose the BMW
humm old man white interior so cool to show off but so dirty after a few months :) The best are the brown seats, still classic and disguise better the dirt
you sure about sunroof 180 G'S and roof only opens partial
Dark brown would be nice.
a car like this is made for constant highway to suburb use, daily driving these boats in crowded tight inner city neighbourhoods is very counterintuitive
I know what you're saying. I live in the country, and do most of my driving on highways. Going into the city often presents a challenge finding roomy parking spaces for my 535i, and that's not such a big car. Many SUV's are larger than that.
What is the name of this beautiful color?
All specs are listed in the video description 👍
Nice car man I have 2 technology invention that would be great for that car I need help getting my car invention to well known car companies can u help me
The last v12 archive this video
Great review! On the color, this one won't be my first choice but as the flagship. But I think not only is it nice to do something different but it's a crime to do a black or blue like any other “poverty” spec entry-level 7s on the road
Thank you! I agree with you!
Emerald green.
This colour works in Moscow as a god father's father's car. Another word it's targeting a Bentley and rolls customer.
I like Mercedes but this car is beautiful and nice 👌👻🖤
Its wonderful that the s63 is an amg and more about sporty but it's still more luxurious than BMW's special car for luxury.
Also the mercedes S500 is way more better than this bmw.
All black colour will look better
Those silver pieces for buttons looks so cheap as the contrast isn't high end looking with the two tone color...didn't Benz already do the silver switch thing...very bad choice of contrast, takes away from the premium feel
Quero saber amigo vou ganhar essa máquina de Graça no Brasil 🇧🇷 você sabe que não tenho condições
40:20 to 40:30 , where can we buy a BMW S8 ? :D
Bro using the touchscreen 😢 instead of using the BMW idrive knob
If only BMW could make the front grille bigger. :p
no. I don't care about the 7 series, don't touch my 5 series :(.
Have dream to buy this car in 2026 (in sha allah)
Tbm gostaria a diesel
Not to mention that the S65 was discontinued after 2020, leaving only the S63 carried over to the new S-class generation...
Its wonderful that the s63 is an amg and more about sporty but it's still more luxurious than BMW's special car for luxury.
Also the mercedes S500 is way more better than this bmw.
The dashboard definitely looks dated compared to Mercedes Benz models!

good material and build quality but I think for the huge price you must expect a modern designed interior and a little bit more HP.
This interior looks more 2015 and the exterior design says not to the rich customer please you must buy me.
Yeah the current gen 7 series is showing it’s age can’t wait for the next gen
@@darrenhuang6854 I think the next gen come 2023.
Should be dark gray
Needs a paint correction
Can help me miles per hr
I hate that they went to a smaller, "pop-up" center screen. It looks cheap, chintzy, and isn't nearly as nice as the larger, easier to read/see at-a-glance, previous screen incorporated into the dash, directly next to the instrument cluster. In a "flagship" luxury car? Silly. Here, Benz, even Cadillac, spanked them
I love it but not the white interior
Tanzanite
The front grill is tragedy.
Not at all. It's perfect
B7
S65 AMG no AWD
Looks Like a Volvo S90 T8 Recharge Which is Couple To Full Size Luxury Sedan
I’d take it if I could payments down to $500 monthly lol!
lol that's like used 5 series territory. Good luck.
Better get a Camry.
I’m a BMW fan, but they’re way behind the S class in terms of prestige and luxury, it’s not even close.

I feel like bmw will hurt your bank account more in the long run
Make mines in white.
Next year it will be 90 to 100k
nobody: eh i want a car to show i am the boss of them all
BMW: eh we have a 500+ HP V12 for $180'000
Tesla: eh we have a 1000+ HP for $125'000
Just bought an M8 Competition. BMW cannot come close to Mercedes in terms of a luxury interior. I've had 3 previous Mercedes.
600hp in the USA . Who needs it?
