Glad to see you're fully recovered. I've been watching Mr Millyard's videos for a while now, and I've finally realised what they remind me of. The calm delivery, the serious intent to inform, the methodical, unfussy camerawork, the absence of jarring background music, and the occasional touches of humour.... These videos are nothing less than really well crafted Open University lectures from decades ago, which older viewers may remember. And I think that's high praise! Many thanks Mr M, and keep up the excellent work 🙏
Yes yes yes.... I couldn't put my finger on it.... The open university professors at 5am. It's the same wonderful calm Ness. If you could bottle that Allen I'd buy it by the hundred weight.
Take care of yourself Allen! There's no one more qualified to tackle this project. This minor setback from the first start is really a testament to how far you've gotten and how much of the original design of this bike needed fixing.
I've experienced "that" kind of back pain. Really not just perfect at all. Praying your back continues it's healing until it's just perfect. Thank you very much for sharing your joy and pain on your projects. Always a worthwhile watch.
Just watch the motorcycle show on ITV4, you look so gutted after that first run. In no time you will both be back to full capacity and that work record can be smashed. Thanks again for those instructive videos.
It was a tall order trying to get it riding by the last filming date for the motorbike show, we had Elvington runway booked for the following day so was extra sad 😔
What a lovely surprise...I did see a quick update on Henry's Motorbike Show, but needed to see what is going on....Great to see you well again, Allen....
I was wondering what happened since there was an interval since you uploaded your last video and I am so relieved to see you back.I think it is cold in your garage, so please take care and continue with your maintenance. I think everyone watching this series of videos, including myself, is amazed at your high level of skill and meticulous repair work and look forward to seeing this monster machine back in better condition than it probably was when it was built.
Look after your back , I've just been diagnosed with osteo arthritis in my neck and spine I'm only 56 I ride a z900rs I can't imagine not riding I've been riding since I was 8 , I might just have to be a warm weather rider now . Look after yourself good to see you back .
You have the patience of a saint, with that bike. It looks like it was originally designed & built by Norton’s apprentice’s. I can’t believe it ended up at the NEC, all those years ago 🤦🏻 Glad you’re on the mend with your back. I’ve been there and it’s not nice.
I don't think even apprentices would have come up with anything as awful as that fuel rail seal sandwich. They'd be afraid of a rowlocking from the boss. It takes a real engineer to do something that abysmal.
Hello Allan, What a shame about a technical problem at the last hurdle, but thank you for allowing us into your workshop while you show us the fix. Hope your back holds up for the future. Allan, thank you for your time to show us your projects, The cooking recipes Me I wish you and your family a very happy Christmas and a healthy new year. Rgds, Peter.
What a great video. I can't wait to see a new ecb being available and see the bike get tuned properly. I am excited to see it go on a rolling road and see what power it makes.
Glad you're feeling better! I sympathize with your back issues and wish you no more problems with it. I finally had to get three vertebrae fused together. Looking forward to the next video.
Another great episode - so satisfying to see the troubleshooting undertaken in such detail. It's another reminder of how bizarre this prototype is; passing the fuel rail through the bottom of the airbox is absolutely bonkers! How they ever achieved a fuel-tight seal is beyond me. Expertly handled and remedied by Mr M - as ever, but most importantly, sorry to hear about the bad back. I'm guessing years of sports bikes may have played their part on that. Rest easy and make sure you're fit and well before riding the Nemesis in anger!
Glad you're on the mend. There's always a take-away for me in your videos- this week's is to anneal those copper sealer washers before use. I use them a lot in my work, and they require so much force to seal properly, I'm always afraid of something snapping. This little trick will make part of my job a bit less stressful, thanks for that.
I thought you were taking a long time to produce the next Norton vid. Then I saw the motorbike show and saw the breather issue, and now after watching this I see your back issue. If only there was someone as skilled with backs as you are with bikes. Hope you're feeling better. And thank you for all your fantastic content over the years.
Glad your back is better, mate. I had mine go while I was scuba diving, and I had to be man handled back onto the shore by other members of my dive club. Unbelievable pain, so I understand exactly how you felt. Ridiculously obvious advice, but next time your body is giving you a warning, don't ignore it. I learned the hard way.
Sorry to hear about your back issues. I'm the same at the moment. Great to see an update on the project, it's been fascinating following the progress you've made with it
It’s amazing what you’re doing to work though what was always a deeply flawed design. I do think that blooming thing is jinxed, but thanks for sharing the extraordinary effort with us all.
Great to see your vids again, my Sunday morning with a cup of tea watching them hasn't been the same , hope your on the mend m8 ,take care of yourself 🫡
Very happy to have you back Allen! Unfortunately I know your pain. I’m coming up on my two year anniversary of my surgery to get my back squared away. I lost a few things from having it done, but no way in hell would I go back to where I was pain-wise.
Watched the motorbike show yesterday night. I don’t think I have ever seen someone so demoralised! Good to see you back at it Mr M! I’m sure it will run superlatively once it’s been tweaked!😊😊😊
Sorry to hear about your back, having a lifetime of experience with similar issues I hope that it was a one time occurrence and you continue to recover. The patient isolation of the problem with this Norton is proof of the skills that you have acquired and your followers will attest to your abilities to restore to better than new performance. Eagerly awaiting the outcome and test ride filming. One thing that was missing is the flavor of the season muffins from your handler in the kitchen, the renounced pastry chef and maker of treats who allows motorcycle parts in the barbie Tracy😅. I’m sure that her goodies helped immensely with your recovery 😊
Great and interesting video as usual Allen. Sorry to hear about your back issues. Hope that's the end of them and your good lady keeps the cakes coming.... you know... just to aid recovery!
I somehow knew that we'd be waiting for the motorbike show to air before another update, after all that is the reason this beast is with you. So sorry to see this week's latest episode but super thankful that we get a closer look at what's going wrong with vid👍👍
Honestly, I could tell that you weren't your usual self before you offered the explanation at the end. We're all glad you're back and getting back to "normal". 😀
Good to see you well Allen. MBE Systems are still very much in business and in my experience absolutely stand by their products no matter how old. Sure they'd be very helpful in getting the old ECU up and running properly.
The best part of Bosch-style injection is the endless supply of electronic and hardware support, parts availability, and probably is one of the easiest to future-proof, inasmuch as automotive electronics can be future-proofed. The bike looks good Allen! Take care of yourself, we're not going anywhere :)
Allen, so glad your back is recovering nicely, have a bad back myself so I know what kind of pain that entails! Thanks for a good and comprehensive update on the Norton, hope it will run sweet and strong upon recalibration of its ECU! Cheers and a merry Christmas to you & Tracy from across the pond!
Sorry you’ve been unwell it’s all part of getting older and actually working for a living, ask me how I know, but glad your feeling better. Absolutely loving this project and I know you don’t want it to be an AM build but you must make it work properly. All the best👍👍👍
Well done Allen, I too must be care full with my back, leaning slightly forward over a bike can cause me a lot of problems in just minutes. Worst case is a disc slips. then like you I'm done for weeks.Glad you're recovery is coming along, looking forward too the next video, Cheers mate!
Sorry to hear about your back problems Allen. I have cervical myelopathy myself, the main reason I ride a bike that has upright bars, rather than clipons. Getting regular uninterrupted sleep is another matter, unless I dope myself into oblivion, which I mainly try to avoid. Bad habits can become permanent, if one isn't careful. Have a good Christmas, Regards from Burry Port, west of Swansea.
Really glad you are feeling better mate.
Take care Al, we can't afford to lose you, you're a national treasure!
Never mind the bike, I'm just glad you're doing better after your mishap.
A nation treasure, he should get a Knighthood.
Sir Allan Millyard has a quality ring about it.
I second that! 🇳🇿
So sorry to hear that you had a bad back but glad you are on the mend Allen 👍
Glad to see you're fully recovered.

Thanks!

@@tngtacticalmiata1219Let's just put this happy little injector over here with his buddies !
Please Allan, make sure you keep yourself healthy, we need your videos!!!!
Great, GREAT; GREAT - a new Allen Millyard video!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Take the time to recover, I'm sure were all happy to wait for you. Really enjoy the episodes.
He is a true national treasure. Glad to hear your better. 👍👍

Speedy recovery Allen. Thanks for the new footage.
Sorry to hear about your back. Hopefully everything's ok now. Oh the joys of getting old! 😉
Glad to learn you're back on your feet, Allen. Don't push yourself too hard. None of us is getting any younger.
the patience this man has
And skill
If you had been working on a 2 stroke I would have said that your back had seized up! Hope you are feeling better, keep the videos coming!
Nothing worse than a back injury, I have had similar. I now have to do yoga every morning to stay out of hospital. Glad you're feeling better.
So glad to see you back! Your work is an inspiration to a lot of us. Even if we don't build bikes. 😊
What a great video. I can't wait to see a new ecb being available and see the bike get tuned properly. I am excited to see it go on a rolling road and see what power it makes.
I hope you are completely pain free and up and..tinkering again 👍👍👍
Really love looking at your work

That Nemesis has just been a staggeringly huge project. I can’t imagine what a job it has been. I’d take my hat off to you if I wore one.
Glad you are feeling better Alan, Pushing around standard road bikes is hard enough, never mind these beasts that you build. Take it easy Sir
Nice work as usual Alan, take care of yourself I want to watch you for many more years while I am broken myself
Great work as always Alan, Self care is the most important thing then bikes. Mend well.
Love how you cleaned the injectors, mentally noted thank you 😊

Great entertainment as always Allen, such a complicated machine. Take care with your back.
I'm pleased your feeling better. When it goes you think to yourself, I bet I'll never be able to ride again.
I did exactly that thought but today after 3 weeks I did a 70mile ride on my st1100🙂
