  • I made a mistake and confused both the plants!
    The one in the picture is a #Portulacaria Afra otherwise called Elephant Bush or Elephant #Jade plant.
    The other plant is #Crassula Ovata otherwise called as Common Jade plant.
    For full care details, check out my earlier video: • #Elephant Jade #Plant ...

    Thank you so much! more people need this information there's so much incorrect information out there these days that even professional stores like brussel's bonsai sell it under the incorrect name.

    This is really helpful!
    I used to love eating the leaves of this plant as a kid and when i was trying to find what it is called, i was confused why it is "mildly toxic". Turns out I found the Crassula one and not Portulacaria one. It was confusing because they look the same but this really helped me, thanks!

    Thank you so much! ❤️ I bought a Jade plant online and turns out it's an Elephant Bush 🤣🤣 I thought I wasn't taking good care of it because its leaves are small and the stems are turning red (rotting). 😭😭🤣

    Sounds like you have had that portulacaria afra plant for a while. How long did it take for it to start trailing and vining out like that? Mine is around three inches tall, if even that tall at all.

    • @crazyforplants
      @crazyforplants  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      About a year and half or so (approximately). It started growing more since I kept it in East facing balcony which receives early morning sunlight. Hope this helps your plant ☺️
