I have a question, for my past few shorts they start getting pushed out to new people(non-subscribers) and when it reaches 400-500 views it stops pushing unlike my shorts before you can check.

You have mentioned many times that shorts can take up to 30 days to take off. Has this been the case for only new channels? I wonder if account validation is part of why your shorts didn't do much at first then went off like wildfire after a month.
I have been a youtube user since about the beginning of youtube. I only started posting videos, all of which are shorts, in the last 3 weeks. I am averaging between 1k - 10k views on my shorts, a few higher and a few lower. I plan on continuing to make videos and improve my skills with each.
Knowing my account is older and trusted already, would you think it's fair to say these numbers are what I should expect my current shorts to stay at or do you think existing shorts getting 10k views in their first week or two have a chance to take off in a month?

Yep good find! I posted everyday 3 days because it was all that I could manage. Posting daily is the best... but obviously can be a high time commitment. And with my lengths, I always try make my shorts as long as possible to have high average duration viewed.

Do you recommend posting muiltple shorts like 2 a day? Or Just stick to one short a day?
Because for a year and a half I've been doing gaming content (fortnite).
I've been posting two daily shorts everyday consistently one at 9:00am and the second one at 17:00pm. Purposefully with a timegap atleast 7 hours inbetween for each to not conflict with one anothers algorithm when my videos peak. I found my shorts with the longest duration close to a minute to be the most successful, combined with popular music within the video and this method has been helping grow my channel with 1,000 new subscribers in the past 7 months. Not much but I'm a small content creator trying to get started.
Recently I've ran into a roadblock with TH-cam and I need expert advice.
I missed a week out of my schedule due to studies and my shorts performances have taken a huge hit. They used to get 2-3k views for 4 months straight and now they get 400 views maximum for the past 2 weeks. Its as if I started a new TH-cam channel and TH-cam is trying to find my audience again. I haven't changed my upload pattern since I returned to uploading daily and I've kept all my keywords/hastags themes for my niche the same. Maybe I need to change something which is obvious for my niche or my niche is too competitive. Anyway any words of advice would be much appreciated. ❤️
Personally I found with my experience of TH-cam. Is all about consistently. But unfortunately I think I lost my TH-cam seed audience boost so I get no views now...? 😕 I'm now putting alot of time and effort into making my channel great again but it's hard when all my shorts now cap at 400 views regardless of watch time retention and improvements I make to them.
Sorry for such a long question, anyway I cant thank you enough for your detailed videos how to become successful on TH-cam.

@@jack_craig Ok, I'm gonna try Uploading one short a day as a last resort to revive my channel. I plan to do durations around the 55 seconds mark and make my shorts as engaging as possible.
Hopefully this may help TH-cam recognise and promote my shorts greater (more individually) in the long-run compared 2 shorts for little views in the short-term.
I see lots of other creators within my niche post muiltple times a day even 3 times and still get 1,000s of views. But I guess those shorts don't then become viral like 100k to 1mil because the algorithm receives them as spam, as the creator posts too much and their shorts only gets pushed out a little due to their already exsiting audience? Is my understanding correct? Quality over quantity? Or is youtube more of a race and you just need to upload as much as you possibly can.
Because I've seen on a variety of channels. Channels who post less often then result in higher overall views. So the temptation of Uploading too frequently is not worth it? Thanks

I‘ve been posting shorts for about 5 months now and through trial and error I try to improve the quality everyday. I get around 100% retention and 60-70% swipe away but those shorts still won‘t go viral. They get stuck at 10k and others don’t even get 1 view. Is it because I‘ve changed the channels content too much? I tried experimenting at first with podcast and then with voiceovers. Thank you for ur help so far
model channels in your niche that were successful, watch their shorts carefully and see how to use them in your channel/strategy

How did you have 3 Channels with "advanced permitions" (you have to verify phone number - you have 2 tries for channel for 1 year) in 1 year? What you think about this youtube move, you have some advice about it? And if you have only basic verify (without phone number) did you have same views and Chance to viral?
Some didn't have the verified number. At the end of the day, it doesn't matter. Just focus on having an account that's been open for over 1 month.

Thank you, it's a great video. I saw your sports channel "ULTRAS" and it's very unique. But, you're using sports clips and it's not against the copyrights of the original video content, and you're not getting a copyright strike from TH-cam? I was very interested in creating shorts video in the sports niche, but always worried about copyrights for using clips from TH-cam
Short rules are very different to long form content. you can upload whatever copyrighted material you want and you wont be copyright striked or anything like that.
