    Great comparison review. I've only got the AF1 so would like to try the AF3 down the track due to the many positive reviews, higher drop and lower weight.

    I am thinking to buy the nike af3 as it provides more stability on foot and more sync in feeling. More bouncy and good for my ankle too.

      If you are a strong neutral runner the ASICS will be good to go for the marathon. Thanks for the comment!

    I'm a new runner, been running only a bit over a year so no expert. Used the Vaporfly 2 (two pairs) and Endorphin Pro 3 and now the Metaspeed Edge Paris. The Edge are the lightest on the scale about 20g lighter than VF. I tried on VF3 and the arch was too high for me. VF2 arch is ok when running despite feeling a touch high initially. VF feel a touch more bouncy at lower speeds, but when running 36min 10km when trying out the Edge they felt amazingly quick and light. The edge is a fair bit firmer though. I just ran my first Marathon, in 2.52 in the Edge, and no foot pain or fatigue, no sore spots, no lack of stability - felt great. I have a wide foot, and run 185 cadence at 4min/km marathon pace - midfoot to slightly rear foot striker. Couldn't get a pair of AF3 to try, but worry about the arch and that they may need a forefoot strike?

    • @run-are
      @run-are  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You definitely don't need to be a forefoot striker for the AF 3 to work, it sounds like your issue is your arch height. From what you have said I am guessing you have a fairly low arch. I can't feel the arch in the VF 3 or VF 2.

    • @domd2304
      @domd2304 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@run-are yeah ok. I can feel the arch in the VF2 but it's minor and not an issue when running. But trying on the VF3 there was no way they were going to work for me, 2x moreso for the AlphaFly2. Not sure if the AF3 is higher or lower than VF3 or AF2?

    Im a very new runner just ran my first 5k outside not a race just by myself. Do you think its too early for me to invest in either of these. my 5k was 24 but I'm wearing a 3 year old pair of ultraboosts that have been mu daily wear shoe for that whole time and hurt my feet a little. I want to work up to where I don't feel embarrassed to run an actual race.

    • @run-are
      @run-are  27 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Yes I think its too early to be getting carbon plated racing shoes. I'd invest in some quality daily trainers. Take a look at the ASICS Novablast 4, New Balance 1080 v13, Nike Vomero 17, Saucony Triumph 21, Brooks Glycerin 21 or Adidas Adizero SL2

      I don't believe there are any differences at all, the unisex sizing on the box gives it away.

    So confusing to me because based on the reviews you couldn’t go wrong with most of these race shoes. But my top choices so far are Sky Paris, Edorohin Pro 4 & Hoka Cielo X. Which one of these three shoes & AF3 are more stable in your experience?
