I love that there is not overly useless details in the model, it looks grand but not having one billion useless rivets or bits makes it look cleaner and just better
I was waiting so many years for this mini, but it just doesn't wow me for some reason. Maybe I put the idea of it on a pedestal for so many years? Idk But I still have the 30k one I'm really happy with. Thanks very much for showing us this. I can see how it would bring joy to many.
It's a great model, I like the armor a little better in the Horus Heresy version but the face sculpts are infinitely superior compared to the Horus Heresy
10:49 to be fair, the reason you're reminded of Great Crusade and Horus Heresy patterns of armor is because 30K's Lion is a MK2 pattern, if somewhat unique due to it being plate fit for a primarch and unique to Calibanite culture. the 40k one seems promising material for conversion.
Anybody have any ideas what the Lion's purity seals might say? Genuine curiosity "The Emperor is not a God, but He sort of is. My Dad is the best, and I am the Truest. Guilliman is dumb." Stuff like that?

It's the same with me. He looks like a bladeguard on steroids, but not a primarch. The same Gulliman inspires more awe.

If you use a modeling drill you can magnetize the heads easily with paper clips. Put a magnet in the body and a piece of paper clip in the heads.
He looks great. Regal, not too busy; almost streamlined and just striding forth to take care of business. Love him !
I like the 30k and the 40k one. Normally I prefer one pose over the other, but I like them both as well. I guess this means... I have to get both!

I feel gw use different plastic for newer models. When I sand them, plastic feels sticky.
