I painted lorgar 2 weeks ago. The base is quite appealing as far as the carvings. The actual figurine is rather uninspiring though. You have to figure out a way to make him stand out. A nice glowing effect from whichever direction could help. I chose a red/orange hue from below, by 45 degrees towards the head. If you have an airbrush, it is not too complicated to achieve. Have fun with him!
@@thatnewhobbyhighi would go with whatever glow would contrast the most with your paint scheme. That way you get the glow effect with the minimal amount of pigment and lose less of the details you’ve already painted. Using the color wheel is the easiest solution, for instance green glow on red armor is a direct opposite on the wheel. So if black armor or red silver word bearer I would go green, yellow or orange. (Or orange at further away portions and yellow closer to the light source)
@@thatnewhobbyhigh may be a bit too much, but a little color glow from each of the gods would make for a rather interesting story telling piece. How you would pull that off I have no clue.

That's not too bad an idea, I was thinking green or purple for the underlighting from the braisers, what did you go with?

@@thatnewhobbyhighthat’s what I did with mine green from the candles with light osl on his legs
I am floating towards purple if lugar has grey armour and green if he has red. Still throwing up and deciding colours.
