I would highly recommend the video on wardrobe essentials by Reggie at The Casual. His video does a great job of explaining how wardrobe essentials vary from person to person. Otherwise, maybe look at some 'essential pieces' videos either by Tim or by Daniel Simmons if this kind of style is one that you're really interested in.
the best way to start would be buying the basic colors he mentioned in the uniqlo tees and 3-4 vintage levi jeans in blue , black and dark gray. from there you can make a weeks worth of the outfits and look amazing tbh at a cheap cost
It’s kind of simple. You start with the pants, get a solid roation of 4 to 5, ranging from Khakis to jeans. Then find some solid tops, my favorite are over sized tees. Then you can layer any coats/ jackets that would match the aesthetic of the bottoms. Shoes are entirely up to u.
I agree with you 100%. I bought all different kind of white t-shirt from Zara, Everlane, and Uniqlo. But that arism oversize with 53% cotton, and 47% polyester is the perfect mixed of fabric. It feels almost like a gym cloth, but still can feel the cotton.

I think it's their internal lining leaking something in reaction to water or something else. Many ppl have the same problem. And then the tee turns to waste basically. I own about 7 of them and now 4 are stained and idk even why. Very frustrating.

I wash all my whites together on cold and machine dry on low, and these shirts have held their shape and color very well, but after the first few washes they have become shiny and feel more artificial on the skin. I would still say that they are definitely the best fast fashion pick for an oversized tee, but the material quality gains by moving up to something in the ~40 dollar price range are probably worth the extra cost.
Is there a similarly priced option that you would recommend instead? I've seen Everlane suggested a lot, so I was thinking of choosing either of those. Might just try the Uniqlo Airism anyways if it's cheaper just because I don't 100% know yet whether or not I like the oversized look for tees.

I just impulsively bought the purple one hours ago because I was dripping in sweat from a trip and I didn't bring any spare clothes. And I will say, it's one of the best impulse purchases I've done 🤣
I bought one about 2 months ago, i completely agree with this. I've got very dark skin (Fitzpatrick VI) so I was worried my skind might show too much through the white of the shirt but it doesn't at all. Super versatile, super nice on the skin and it acts as a foundation for the rest of your fit so styling the rest of it is a breeze. For the price it's insane how reliable it is
Used to work at Uniqlo store. Uniqlo's U line has the best tshirt, even better than the plain Uniqlo. They have thick but cool fabric so when you wear white you don't need to worry about transparency (girls worry about this), so yeah.
Really happy when I first got this one, really the superior t-shirt in my opinion. Dumped all of my basic essential tees and replaced them with this. The fit, the cut, the feel of the shirt, the texture. It's all good.
The fit is nice and I have a couple but because it's not 100% cotton it is terrible for the summer, any time I wear this I sweat buckets because of the polyester unfortunately
🚨AD ALERT AD ALERT 🚨 To be honest they are comfy and even put into the dryer they don’t shrink BUT that neck collar gets so stretched out after hour of wear and doesn’t shrink in the dryer. Add more structure to your collars
i bought three! but the length shrunk and now it’s a borderline crop top for me 😅 can you show us newbs how to properly maintain our clothes to prevent shrinking hehe (:

Polyester isn't good for our skin and health and not breathable. Try to learn more about polyester
