It looks botanical. The ribbons are so pretty. Almost looks like a Ninja Swipe. Shannon Gibson adds a small amount of water to her spray paint (if pouring) before application. I will try this. Color palette...beautiful.
I figure you already have videos for all my questions... so if you don't like part of the pour, but do like another part, what are the options options?
If it isn't dry yet, scrape and repour that section. If it is dry you can pour over that section again, paint over it with similar paints or paint over the entire painting again.
Before I discovered the world of pouring paint i purchased a kit of acrylic paint for regular type painting. The .4 ml tubes. Can anything be done with those in regards to pouring?
I did a painting using only those - th-cam.com/video/U1OZOcLJkec/w-d-xo.html - it was a little tedious to mix up small cups of paint but I loved the result.
Hey Left brain, I've got a question for you...Working on a 14x14 canvas, level one from Michael's. Trying to paint the bottom half with Bright Red from Artist Loft. Went with a 3 to 1 part medium to paint. Consistency was one second poop ball. Got it on with little ease, but then hundreds of what looked like air bubbles appeared. Tried to torch them, and MORE appeared. Had to scrape the whole section off. I gessoed the whole canvas 3 days ago, so it was dry. Any ideas what might have caused that? Thinking of trying some Artist Loft pre mix next, but I'm a little skeptical. Thanx!!!!!!
Hey Left, Already scraped it off. I'm gonna try floetrol at a 2 or 3 to one and also some Artist Loft ready to pour and I'll see what happens. Thanx again!
Any advise for choosing colors? I don't have an eye for it and I'm frustrated. I have a combo that I took directly from you and it's stunning. When I pick them myself there isn't enough difference even though I specifically tried to do that. Is there a mechanical method? Like 5 spaces on the color wheel?😊
To be 100% honest with you I feel the exact same way. I try to have one white or black, one complimentary color and then other colors that are similar. Or I hijack palettes other artists or from websites like coolors.co.
It’s like a tropical botanical! Amazing! ❤
So true Maria.

Thank you! Cheers Kelli.
Wow! that's another cool use of the spray! And makes a very pretty artwork!
It was fun. I need to not tilt my spray paint so much so I am not pulling air as much.
So glad you are back doing more videos..
Me too. Although these are a lot of work.
Fabulous piece - so vibrant.
Thanks Josi.
This is very New, I love your idea, super 👏🏼
Thank you so much 😊 I wish I did more silver in the "middle" of the painting so it didn't get tilted off but overall I love how it works.
Good to see you enjoying your paint pouring again. 😊
I totally am. Thanks for noticing.
Beautiful David.
Looks like a magical forest.
I can totally see that Karen.
I love it!!! I see that in a fabric pattern.
Totally could be.
It's gorgeous! I didn't think the colors were going to look good together at first, but I really like them!
Thanks. My family is from the south and I love the souther American Indian jewelry with these colors.
I'm liking these spray paint experiments! 😀
Me too! Learning a ton.
That's super awesome. I love your work.😊
Thank you so much 😀
at 5:33 it looked like the color was floating because it created a 3D effect 😮
a very cool result with the silver spray paint!👏
I love when that 3d effect happens. Thanks for watching Jasmin.
Love your Work , very well explain, and your vidéo very Nice well done David ❤
Thank you so much Sylvie. 🤗
Beautiful painting and that thumbnail is awesome.
Thank you so much my friend 😀. I hope it keeps up it's CTR and impressions.
I love it ! 😊👍
You are always so nice Randi. Thanks!
Great idea! I wonder it would do if you added it between the layers, would it just cover it up? Or maybe with transparent paint? Thx for sharing ❤
Yeah, i tried in the layers and it doesn't have enough umph to come to the surface. Has to be sprayed on top.
It's like a fantasy under the ocean scene. Love it
Thanks so much. I can totally see that.
It makes me think of a strange Kelp forest. You can almost see the movement with the tides. I really like this one.
I can totally see that!
Woah!! That is cool. I like the texture & lines. Wonder how it would work with a split cup?
That would be cool also Marion.
Interesting experiment ❤
I was pleasantly surprised for sure.

It seemed like an eternity while you were tilting. The outcome was worth the wait! 😉
I tried not to speed it up this time. I had enough paint but just barely.
David this is spectacular❤
Thanks so much. I wish I got more silver and less mud but overall I love the color combo.
Very cool!!
Thanks Amanda.
😲OMG BEAUTIFUL PAINTING AND GREAT COLOURS TO.REMINDED ME OF A COLOURFUL ROCK POOL.😎
Thanks Velerie. It was really fun to make.
Beautiful
Aw, thanks Callie.
I like it!
Thanks so much Katherine.
👋
New idea's are always exciting!
Have you tried metallic bronze or copper spray paint?
Yes I have them too. One of those other videos at the end did gold/bronze colors.
@@LeftBrainedArtist Yes!! I have to see that!
Im gonna try a spinning cup pour🤔🤔
Pouring two colours into a spinning cup to see how it layers.
That woudl be great. I needed more in the "middle" of my puddle so it doesn't get spun/tilted off.
Any advice for the mask that should be used please 😊
M90 will work in a pinch. Otherwise an organic vapor respirator similar to this would be best - amzn.to/4cy8VBC (affiate link)

@@LeftBrainedArtist I'll watch and give it a try. Thanks!!!
I was tilting my phone to help the paint flow. Unfortunately I don't think I helped muvh... 😅😅😅
Haha, been there and done that.
I do that too 😂
😂 I've done it

What pouring medium did you use? Normally tons of tiny pinholes are bubbles. Hard to say for sure without seeing a picture though.
Hey Left,
Already scraped it off. I'm gonna try floetrol at a 2 or 3 to one and also some Artist Loft ready to pour and I'll see what happens. Thanx again!
Just wanted to know, do you do pouring and use a hairdryer. Have you got videos doing that.
I have done a few yes - th-cam.com/video/kFAXu_9NZ6o/w-d-xo.html
I got my first successful pours today. 3 of 4 came out great. Time to start practicing varnishing.
Make sure you lets them completely dry and cure before varnishing.
@@LeftBrainedArtist like 2 weeks, right? And I'll watch your video first.
@@amytalbert2911 For small paintings yes.
@@LeftBrainedArtist yes, 8x10.

what do you mean by gallery wrapped canvas?
I have a video about that here Kimberly - th-cam.com/video/kv0ZaqmZJac/w-d-xo.html
Do you use colours with glue for pouring?
I use glue and floetrol a lot and some professional pouring mediums but less often.
@@LeftBrainedArtist thanks for reply ..
The spray paint causes stickiness and paint cldnt flow. Requiring more paint to allow to flow
👍👍
Hello David! xx 🎉
Hello Fran! Thanks for coming to watch.
@@LeftBrainedArtist it was good to see you! Hope you’re well? xx
Sorry 😞 , but I've just got to ask!!! WHAT IS WITH SO MUCH OF THE HEAVY BREATHING????!!!
The mic was probably on more sensitive than normal. I attach it to my apron just under my neck.
@LeftBrainedArtist Thank you so much for replying to me. If you want a padawan (Student/,personal tutor), let me know!! I LOVE THE ANGEL WINGS !!!😇
I have a idea, maybe someone else can assist you and do the spray work from the opposit side? 😊
That would be cool for sure. The spray can was tiled the wrong way most of the time. Should have done it like that anyways.
@@LeftBrainedArtist thank you for the positive reply.
Turned out pretty cool, but man that paint is thick!
Yeah, if you have too thin of paint when doing something like this the spray paint just gets consumed.
Your paint seems so thick……
I keep my paint thicker when I don't want the paints to mix as much.
