Just some suggestions for your vlog. Can you also include asking what culture shock do Filipinos experience from Koreans when they visit the Philippines. Try interviewing Filipinos about it , go to colleges and/or university campuses or outside the campus because you'll get a truthful answer from the more educated as they tend to be more opinionated especially college instructors or professors. They would be more direct with their answers. If you interview on the streets, most Filipinos tend to shy away and only give you answers that is pleasing to your ear. I've got so many that I consider rude and offensive that Koreans do. Maybe by doing this you can make Koreans understand the do's and don't about our ways when traveling to the Philippines without offending them or consider your country men as rude and uneducated about Filipino culture and ways.

Wrong! Hindi kasi noon uso ang hair drier at nang mauso, iilan lang ang nakakabili nito aside from there is no need to dry it because, it dries up quickly dahil tropical country ito!

@@chriscu2021 Ah kaya pala... hehe. Still, it's impressive kasi maraming foreigners or fil-foreigner na more than 30 years na sa Pinas pero konting konti lang alam sa Filipino language, like Martin Nievera (still with a thick am accent), coaches Norman Black and Tim Cone, etc.

Aside from all those you mentioned, one culture shock for me while being here in Korea is that plastic surgery became a normal thing. Double eyelid surgery is the most common for middle school and high school girls. It took time for me to understand this for a while. Although most Filipinos prefer natural beauty.

It's gross just using tissue after pooping, we can use both actually, tissue + soap and water. We Filipinos I think don't have time to dry our hair using dryers or blowers, most of us just towel dry our hair. Saves our hair from becoming completely dry and brittle and not because we want everyone to know we had our baths lol. We feel our day is not complete if we skipped our bath even for just a day.

There have been actual cases of bombing in malls in the Philippines in the past. Some people might carry weapons like guns and other prohibited items into the malls, hence, the bag and body checks. Even if you are licensed to carry a gun, you're supposed to surrender it to mall security upon entry, I think, then claim it afterward when you exit.

For ligo we shower everyday or several times a day including the hair we shampoo always , so if you blow dry your hair every time you shower it’ll get dry or frizzy, and it’s a real Filipino culture to bathe everyday even from ancient times. We don’t mind if our hair is wet coz it’s just natural for us. And we don’t have winter or cold season anyways. Thank you for your funny vlog , keeps me laughing for awhile. 😂

So perfect talaga siyang combo kung prefer mo ang di masyado maalat na kinakain like me😄

  • @athensmanalo6910

Reasons kung bakit we let it wet ang buhok is it takes alot of time and effort and energy to dry your hair, dryer is a hair monster nkkadry ng hair and when it is still wet you can feel the coldness of being wet- about the tissue we know that a lot of countries that experience winter don’t use water for wash during pooing in the toilet, water is more hygienic we use soap and water to thoroughly wash the mesh because when you just wipe it the smell still exists.

Kaya basa ang buhok namin sa umaga wala na time magpatuyo, nagmamadali dahil malayo magcommute pa-office or school ayaw namin ma-late. Halos majority naman po naliligo kaya wala na question kung naligo or hindi, kung basa or hindi ang buhok. Un panghugas namin, hindi lng tubig syempre may kasama din sabon, hindi po maganda experience pagwala sabon and swerte na lng pag may tissue, last step sya pamunas ng extrang basa. 😊

Eniweis, my personal culture shock was when I joined KCWJC, Kasi Naman I experienced attending Korean Language class and I would say na legit Yung Kaba every session, Yung natatakot ka magfail sa mga exercises at quizzes Kasi sayang Ang anda..
Dami punchlines, Dami hugot... Pero legit po Yung transfer of learning dahil talagang sinisigurado that each lesson is understood, to the easiest way na Keri kahit ng mga super beginners..

Well, about sa #5 of your list po, I guess we Filipinos are grateful na kahit saang restaurants or carenderia ay may waiter. At least po they have that job na bumubuhay sa kanila. That's really crucial for us so nagpasalamat naman ako na ganun ang setting dito sa Pinas. Anyways, it's our choice din naman if we clean our table or not. But of course, it's better to at least not leave the table in a total mess po.

Ting!!!! One reason (1) hindi lahat gumagamit ng hair dryer for the reason na hindi yun considered as “essential” after taking a bath although some uses it.(2) some doesn’t have a budget to buy hair dryer.(3) mahal po ang electricity ng Pinas(4) mainit po ang Pinas compared to your country ,wet hair will give us a little “extension” time of feeling fresh.(5) some doesn’t have more time of drying their hair bec they still have lots of things to do.(6) mainit po amg weather ng Pinas and drying hair with a drying machine ay nakakasira po ng hair. I hope this enlighten you about why most of us prefers “wet hair” compared to drying our hair.

Nice one Joshua, culture shock ko when I went to korea in 2019 are: koreans walked very fast, most ladies wear make up, no talking in trains, mostly having their headphones, mostly chopsticks on the table 😊

  • @arbibutterfly
    @arbibutterfly 2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

Yeah, I don't go out that much so I was also shocked when I first ate at restaurants. And whether it's fastfood or the normal ones, we usually just arrange our plates and trash in one place to make it easier for the workers. I just throw my trash in a bin but when there's none visible, I leave it there. If it's fastfood, I just put it in one place. I guess it's linked to our hospitality culture or smth, and I feel like I'm disrespecting them if I did their job. So unless it's self-cleaning or they ask me to, I would just try to make it easier for them to clean.

Always best to learn about different cultures because it opens our minds and lessens prejudice against others 😊

.however i do appreciate that u hv adopted some of our culture..and amazingly u can speak english well...kasi most of korean cannot speak english unless they studied somewhere abroad...dami ngang korean celebrities do not know how to speak english...but here in the Philippines kahit grade school knows how to speak english kasi this is mandatory to all schools here in the Philippines even in public schools ..

    1. Relate...kasi for Filipinos, rice is life...😅😅😅 Mas masarap yung chicken kainin pag may kasamang rice.
    2. Yung pag dry ng buhok after maligo is medyo not a thing in Philippines kasi mainit naman...madadry na lang kusa. ✌️
    3. Yung paggamit ng tubig panlinis sa sarili after mag-CR ( mainly after jumebs) for Filipinos is more hygienic. Mas malinis. Kasi kung tissue lang gamit mo pamunas...matanggal man yung mga anik anik, still, yung amoy nandon pa din. So paggamit ng tubig at sabon is better for Filipinos. ✌️✌️
Kudos Sir Josh! Thank you for having the "pusong Pinoy" even if you are pure Korean. God bless you!
